After leaving Konoha, Wang Han did not choose to travel with Danaz, but instead went ahead to the Land of Waves. There were no problems along the way, but the genin of Asuma's team were very excited because it was their first time leaving the village.

After the silver needles were removed, Kakashi immediately stood up, bowed deeply to Wang Han, and said, "Mr. Traveling Merchant, thank you very much for treating me."
Wang Han waved his hand, indicating that there was no need to be polite.

Because the Land of Waves was blocked by Gato, even food was scarce, let alone medicinal herbs. Therefore, Wang Han and his companions had to gather most of the herbs themselves, while Kakashi taught his three students.
