"Drink some of this, it'll make you feel better." Looking at Li Tiezhu and Li Sisi, who were vomiting, and Anna, who was pale, Wang Han took out three bottles of baijiu from his spatial storage and handed them over.
When Li Tiezhu saw the wine Wang Han handed him, he immediately took it and gulped it down, not caring whether his neck could take it. However, the next moment, seeing the blood on his hand holding the bottle, he vomited violently again.
"I don't drink." Li Sisi shook her head, though she felt unwell, she was still trying to adapt.
"It's so spicy! This is alcohol, you can't drink it." Anna took a sip and spat it all out. She couldn't stand the spiciness of the liquor and thought it was alcohol.
"..." Wang Han: "This is Chinese baijiu, made from pure grains, it's definitely drinkable."
"I see. But I still won't drink it. I can't take it," Anna said, shaking her head and handing the liquor back to Anna.
"That's about enough. I'll handle the rest," Wang Han said, looking at the three of them. After all, he only wanted them to build up their courage, not to kill. That would probably backfire.
"Phew..." Hearing this, all three breathed a sigh of relief. It was finally over, and Li Tiezhu even started sobbing. However, Wang Han didn't scold him; this was part of his adjustment process.
"Let's go," Wang Han said, leading the way out of the hospital. The three quickly followed; they didn't want to stay there for another second.
Upon arriving at the hospital entrance, amidst the astonished and horrified gazes of the three, Wang Han turned to face the hospital, clasped his hands together, and a translucent, pale white cube appeared in his palm.
"Boundary Stripping Technique. Multiply."
Wang Han pointed his palm at the hospital, and the white cube rapidly grew larger in his hand, enveloping the entire hospital.
The next moment, a dazzling white light shone from the white cube that enveloped the hospital. A second later, the white light and the cube vanished together, along with the entire hospital.
“This is…” Anna stared in disbelief at the flat open space in front of her. She had never seen such an ability before and did not know what it was.
Wang Han said, "I dismantled the entire hospital, along with everything inside, leaving no trace."
“Let’s go,” Wang Han said. “Tomorrow we’ll go to New York to take a certification exam, and then we’ll go to China.”
………………………………………………
In New York, after Wang Han and his two companions applied for the ability test at the city police department with Anna, the police department immediately arranged a special car to take them to the test location.
North of New York lies a vast suburb off-limits to the general public, completely enclosed by barbed wire. In the very center of this suburb sits six large buildings constructed of thick reinforced concrete, resembling massive fortresses. Surrounded by mountains, water, lakes, and even swamps and deserts, there is no greenery whatsoever.
The police took Wang Han and the other three to the suburbs. After they explained that they were there to take an exam, the staff responsible for transportation immediately drove them into the suburbs.
The staff member leading the way explained to Wang Han and his companions, "This is the only place in the entire United States where martial artists and ability users are certified. Besides the thick reinforced concrete, the buildings here are equipped with state-of-the-art testing instruments, training equipment, and materials to isolate mental abilities. There are also various institutions serving martial artists and ability users. Many martial artists and ability users live here for convenient training and missions. Only after obtaining a martial artist's certificate or an ability user's certificate can you also choose to live here."
The tallest and largest of the six buildings is where the ability users, martial artists, and staff live, while the bottom five floors are the commercial area. Each floor is comparable to several luxurious supermarkets, offering a complete range of goods including food, entertainment, machinery, weapons, military equipment, clothing stores, and shopping malls. There are also pre-order points for tanks and airplanes, but these require a level certificate to purchase.
Here, you can buy or pre-order any legal item. Even things legal for those with abilities are readily available. To prevent trouble caused by those with abilities, some gray-area businesses are even allowed to operate legally here. There are no ordinary people here; even the staff and service personnel are all those with abilities. Furthermore, even if there is a conflict, physical violence is not allowed if there is a reason. However, you can file a complaint or request police intervention.
"This is the office area, where we process your certificates and conduct your academic exams. If you fail the academic exam, you won't necessarily lose your certificate, but it will lower your score significantly, perhaps even by a whole grade." The staff member led Wang Han and his group to the second building, which was also the smallest one. It was the staff's office building, but even the smallest one was still much larger than the New York City Police Department building.
"Academic subjects really are everywhere," Wang Han rubbed his head, feeling a headache coming on. Even the exams for superpower and martial arts level certificates required academic subjects. But Wang Han could understand it; after all, being uneducated was terrible, especially for powerful martial artists and ability users. At the very least, you needed to have the right values, and lowering the scores meant that martial artists and ability users had to learn academic subjects.
The staff continued, "The ship-shaped building on the left is where martial artists train, and their strength tests are also conducted there. The opera-like building on the right is where ability users advance to higher levels. Both are built with special materials. For powerful ability users, the tests are conducted outdoors. The rightmost building is the maintenance department, and the leftmost building is the hospital."
"Hmm." Wang Han nodded and asked, "So when can the exam be held?"
