After the bronze gate opened, the water-based ability users immediately manipulated the water behind it, controlling the mutated zombie beasts within. However, even so, within a mere minute, more than ten ability users who went in to open the gate still died in the mouths of the mutated zombie beasts.
“They are undead, guardian beasts of the tomb, and they even have bite marks on their necks.” The Pope said, looking at the controlled mutated zombie beasts. After speaking, he glanced at Ashina Shapi and said, “Ashina Shapi, your abilities are very similar to yours, and even the way you spread your abilities is very similar.”
Seeing the Pope and everyone's gaze, Ashina Shapi rolled his eyes and said, "Don't look at me. I was born hundreds of years after the tomb of Marquis Dingshan was built. It must have been made by Chinese zombies. There are definitely ancient creatures from that period in the tomb."
"I didn't say it was you, why are you so agitated?" the Pope said, shining holy light on the mutated zombie beast, causing black smoke to continuously billow from its body. The Pope was somewhat worried; no one had ever been found in the tombs of Dingshan Marquis's subordinates before. If those guys were also inside, and had turned into zombies, it would be troublesome.
"Hmph, there are a lot of mutated beasts behind the second door. Let's figure out how to open the second door first," Ashina Shapi snorted, looking at the second door. Faint roars of beasts could be heard coming from behind the second door, the mutated beasts inside had been awakened.
The Pope shook his head and said, "Ashina Shapi, there are too many mutated beasts behind the second door. Sending an earth-type ability user in to open the door is no longer realistic. We need another way."
Beckham suggested, "Let's send an earth-type ability user over to check what's behind the door. If there are no measures in place to guard against fire-type abilities, then melt the door open."
Upon hearing this, everyone nodded and nominated a state-level ability user.
A few minutes later, the state-level ability user returned from the reconnaissance, his face somewhat grim. He said, "There were no measures in place to guard against fire-type ability users, but there are so many mutated beasts inside that they're almost filling the passageway."
Ashina Shapi said, "The method to open the gate is much simpler. Fire-type ability users can melt the gate and lure the mutated beasts out. The others can lie in ambush outside, and earth-type ability users should not make a move."
Everyone nodded, and dozens of fire-type ability users stepped forward, unleashing scorching pillars of fire from their hands towards the gate, which instantly covered the entire bronze door. The intense heat immediately filled the entire passageway.
Other ability users also quickly made preparations, and those who were the first to start preparing began to do so.
With the combined efforts of dozens of fire-elemental experts, the bronze gate was melted in less than two minutes.
"Roar..." As the door melted away, the stench of corpses and the already impatient horde of mutated zombies rushed out from behind it, braving the still raging flames.
"Step back and lure them out." The fire-type ability users exchanged glances, immediately stopped their fire pillars, and spewed fire pillars from their feet, flying towards the exit.
"Roar..." The mutated zombie beasts roared as they watched their prey escape and immediately gave chase.
"Hiss hiss hiss..." As the mutated zombie beasts chased them out of the exit, the midday sun shone on their bodies, and black smoke kept seeping out of them. The mutated zombie beasts that kept rushing out from behind kept pushing them, making it impossible for them to retreat.
"A sea of fire..."
"Lightning strike..."
"Blade of Wind".
"tornado."
The ability users who had been lying in ambush began their attack after the mutated beasts rushed out. A terrifying, scorching sea of fire covered the entire mountain valley they had cleared. Several huge fire tornadoes moved within the sea of fire, engulfing the mutated beasts and making the fire burn even hotter. Black smoke and white ash from the corpses continued to drift in.
"Indeed, undead creatures are all beings that cannot withstand the light. It's best to cremate them. Don't you think so?" Seeing the mutated zombie beast weakened under the sunlight and struggling helplessly in the scorching flames, the Pope smiled and said to the three Ashina brothers who were holding umbrellas.
"Hmph, much better than some people who wear masks and dare not show their true faces in public." Ashina Shapi retorted to the Pope, then said, "However, you'd better act quickly. My men have sent word that the first mutated beast, the White-Armored Rhinoceros, led a large number of mutated beasts from the Kunlun Mountains a day ago."
"Why didn't you say so sooner?" Upon hearing this, the Pope's face immediately darkened. The first mutated beast was not to be trifled with; if it were blocked inside the tomb, the consequences would be unimaginable.
“You didn’t ask.” Ashina Shabi shrugged and said with a smile.
"Damn it, you'd better give everyone an explanation later," the Pope cursed, and immediately began to take action.
"Holy light shines everywhere."
A dense white holy light covered the entire mountain valley, reflecting the red firelight. The bodies of the mutated zombie beasts struggling in the sea of fire began to melt like spring snow under the scorching sun, and were quickly burned away by the fire.

"Ashina Shapi, why don't you reveal the information about the arrival of the first mutated beast, the White-Armored Rhinoceros?" After dealing with all the mutated beast zombies, the Pope immediately turned his attention to Ashina Shapi.
“I just got the news myself,” Ashina Shabi said with a shrug.
“The most important thing now is not to investigate these matters. Let’s leave some people behind to resist, and the rest of you should hurry up and enter the tomb. I’ll volunteer to stay behind,” Beckm said. Although he knew that Ashina Shabi was deliberately hiding something and must have some unspeakable secrets, it was better to leave some people outside than to go in and die.
