Quickly pulling Tianming back from his rage, Gai Nie and Wang Han asked, "Mr. Wang Han, do you have a way to deal with the surrounding wolf pack? Otherwise, things will get troublesome after dark."
"The wolf pack is not simple." Wang Han nodded, pretending to take two palm-sized cylinders out of the carriage, remove the wires from them, and throw them to the sides of the carriage. These were poison gas bombs that Wang Han had purchased in the technological world.
"Hiss..." The cylinder that Wang Han threw spun around, emitting a lot of yellow smoke as it landed on the ground, spewing out even more yellow smoke. With a gust of wind, the yellow smoke spread rapidly. The pursuing wolves rushed through the yellow smoke but fell to the ground after only a few steps, spitting out blood and foam, and died instantly.
"What potent poisonous smoke!" Gai Nie and the others were horrified as they watched the wolves die, spitting out blood and foam. Just a few puffs could be fatal.
The wolf king, amidst the pack, saw all the wolves that had entered the poisonous smoke dying, spitting blood and foam, and the poisonous gas being blown towards him by the wind. He was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat, quickly stopped, and retreated hastily.
"Woo..." The retreating wolf king let out a wolf howl. Upon hearing the wolf king's howl, the wolf pack immediately stopped and turned to run away.
"It seems the problem is solved." Seeing the wolf pack retreat, Fan Zeng and the others breathed a sigh of relief. They also gained some new insights into Wang Han. No wonder Wang Han dared to travel among the various schools of thought with a little girl in tow; it turned out that besides Ying Zheng's jade pendant, he was also a master of poison.
"Where does Mr. Wang Han intend to go on this trip?" Gai Nie asked Wang Han after the wolf pack retreated.
Fan Zeng and the others couldn't help but notice. Although Wang Han had saved them, they remained wary of him. After all, Wang Han was someone who carried Ying Zheng's personal jade pendant around, and they couldn't believe he wasn't Ying Zheng's henchman.
“I also have some knowledge of medicine,” Wang Han said. “So I would like to discuss medicine with the medical community, but unfortunately I don’t know where they are. I’ve heard that there is a place called Jinghu Medical Manor here with a disciple of a medical family who has superb medical skills, so I plan to go to Jinghu Medical Manor.”
"You're a doctor, so can you treat this uncle?" Tianming immediately asked upon hearing Wang Han say that he knew medicine.
"This is medicine, give it to him to drink." Wang Han tossed a porcelain bottle to Tianming.
"Can this medicine really cure Uncle?" Tianming quickly took it, uncorked it, and handed it to Gai Nie, but still asked Wang Han.
“This medicine!” Wang Han said to Tianming, “One sip will cause your limbs to twitch and foam at the mouth; two sips will cause your eyes to roll back and you to lose all sensation; three sips will cause you to die and ascend to heaven, ending it all.”
"Ah!" Upon hearing Wang Han's words and recalling the poisonous smoke Wang Han had just thrown out, Tianming's face turned pale with fright. Seeing Gai Nie about to drink the medicine, he quickly reached out to snatch the porcelain bottle back from Gai Nie's hand.
Gai Nie gently stepped aside, avoiding Tianming's hand, and tilted his head back to drink the medicine from the porcelain bottle.
"Uncle." Seeing Gai Nie finish drinking the medicine in the porcelain bottle, Tianming became anxious and said urgently, "Uncle, that's poison! Spit it out, spit it out!"
“Yes, that was poison,” Wang Han said.
"Uncle, Uncle." Tianming looked at Gai Nie, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Tianming." Seeing that Tianming was about to cry, Gai Nie patted Tianming's head and comforted him, saying, "I believe in Mr. Wang Han's medicine. All medicines have some toxicity. Don't worry, Tianming, I'll be fine."
"Hahaha..." Xiang Shaoyu also pointed at Tianming and laughed. "Silly little brother, he was just lying to you. Your uncle knows him, so why would he harm your uncle?"
Realizing he had been tricked, Tianming's mouth immediately puffed up.
The group continued their journey.
"Someone's coming up ahead." As they approached a lake, Fan Zeng suddenly said, as the light of a lantern was gradually drawing near in the darkness ahead.
Soon, a little girl carrying a lantern, dressed in pink, and with exquisitely beautiful features came to the front of the group. She bowed slightly and said, "Sister Rong is currently treating a seriously ill patient, so she asked me to greet you all on her behalf. Please forgive me, elder brothers and seniors."
Tianming stared wide-eyed at the girl who appeared; he had never seen such a beautiful girl before.
"So you're a friend of the doctor, that's wonderful," Fan Zeng said.
The girl introduced herself: "My surname is Gao, and my given name is Yue. You can call me Yue'er."
Xiang Liang praised, "It's been several years since I last visited the Medical Manor, and Miss Rong has unexpectedly gained another beautiful younger sister."
"Please follow me, everyone," Gao Yue said with a smile, leading the group forward.
"Hey, who is this Yue'er? And what does that Miss Rong do?" Tianming asked Xiang Shaoyu curiously.
Shao Yu glanced at Wang Han discreetly. He said impatiently to Tianming, "Why are you asking so many questions?"
“This month’s child should be a disciple of the Mohist school,” Wang Han explained. “The Mohist school is the most righteous of the Hundred Schools of Thought. The founder of the Mohist school had a long-standing friendship with the Chu family. In the camp against the Qin state, the Mohist school and the Chu family were the two most resolute. The Jinghu Medical Manor here is a secret stronghold of the Mohist school. Without a Mohist to guide you, it is difficult to find. That Miss Rong is a leader of the Mohist school and also a member of the medical school. She has the reputation of being a medical immortal.”
Upon hearing Wang Han's explanation, everyone's expressions became somewhat complicated. Wang Han, who possessed Ying Zheng's personal jade pendant, was, after all, an enemy to them. However, since Wang Han had saved them, they couldn't repay kindness with enmity. Although they had deliberately concealed their identities and hadn't mentioned to Wang Han that they were from the State of Chu or that Gao Yue was a member of the Mohist school, little did they know that Wang Han already knew their identities.
