“That’s what I think too,” Master Ban said with a smile, and continued to discuss with Wang Han along the way.
"Wang Han, do you really not recognize Xue Nu and Xiao Gao?" Master Ban suddenly asked halfway through the discussion on mechanical arts.
“I really don’t know them. I only know about them from other people. I’m also very confused,” Wang Han said, shaking his head.
Upon hearing this, Master Ban asked, still unwilling to give up, "Don't you feel any sense of familiarity at all?"
Wang Han said definitively, "No, I can confirm that yesterday was the first time I saw the two of them."
"Have you ever suffered from amnesia before?" Master Ban asked, his gaze fixed on Wang Han's eyes.
“No, my memory is very clear,” Wang Han said confidently.
"and you…"
Before Old Man Ban could finish speaking, Wang Han interrupted, "Old Man Ban, do you know what happened to Xue Nu and Gao Jianli back then? How much do you know about that person? Didn't they tell you?"
“I haven’t heard them mention it.” Master Ban shook his head. “Aside from the Bloodthirsty Blade and the white armor, I know nothing about the person they’re looking for.”
"What about the legends surrounding that person?" Wang Han asked again.
"There are no legends about that person." Upon hearing this, the old man shook his head and said, "We only know that he killed many, many people, but very few people have actually seen him."
'Looks like they've kept it a secret very well!' Wang Han sighed inwardly, having not obtained any useful information.
"So how much do you know about the legend of the Bloodthirsty Blade?" Wang Han continued to ask.
"Regarding the Bloodthirsty Blade... much of it is just hearsay..." Master Ban thought carefully for a moment and began to speak. He kept analyzing the possibility that Wang Han had lost his memory or that Wang Han had a master.
The two walked and talked. Not long after, they met Yuki-onna and Kodaka again in a passageway.
As Wang Han approached, Gao Jianli already gripped his Water Cold Sword.
"This is terrible." Master Ban thought to himself, "I'm in deep trouble." Yesterday, there were several people with him who helped him stop the three of them, but today he was just an old man. He couldn't stop them if they started fighting.
"Where have you been for the past ten years?" Gao Jianli asked, looking at Wang Han.
“I only came down from the mountain a year ago; I was cultivating there before,” Wang Han replied, then asked in return, “You keep saying you know me, so how did you come to know me?”
"I have been cultivating in the mountains for ten years." Upon hearing this, Gao Jianli gripped his sword even tighter.
“It wasn’t just ten years; I was cultivating in the mountains all before I came out,” Wang Han said. “You still haven’t answered my question.”
"Which mountain is it? Where is it located?" Gao Jianli did not answer Wang Han's question, but continued to ask.
"Answer my question first," Wang Han said, without continuing to answer.
"Hmph!" Gao Jianli snorted and said, "Thirteen years ago, at Feixue Pavilion in Yan State, now you can answer which mountain it was, right?"
"The Ten Thousand Mountains," Wang Han said, "are located in the far south and far north of the country."
"You." Upon hearing this, Gao Jianli immediately drew his Water Cold Sword.
"Xiao Gao, don't be impulsive." Master Ban quickly stepped in to stop them.
"Let's go," the snow woman said, turning and leaving.
"Hmph." Gao Jianli snorted and turned to leave with Xue Nu.
"Phew." Seeing this, Master Ban breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, a fight didn't break out.
