"Don't worry, Mr. Ren, I will cure you," Uncle Jiu comforted him.
“Master Ren, Old Master Ren’s body has turned into a zombie. It must be cremated for safety. What do you think?” Uncle Nine asked.
"Sigh! Cremate him!" Ren Fa sighed softly. He dared not insist any longer; having just escaped death, he was truly terrified.
"Where are the zombies?" Just then, a loud shout came from outside the door. Ah Wei, the town's security captain, rushed in with a pair of soldiers. Seeing Mr. Ren and Ren Tingting standing in the hall, he immediately stood in front of them and said loudly, "Uncle, don't worry, with me here, no one can hurt you. Tingting, don't be afraid, your cousin will protect you."
"Coward." Wang Han scoffed, muttering, "Didn't you see the bloodstains all over Master Ren's arms?"
“Uncle, you’re injured. Did they hit you?” Ah Wei said, pressing a pistol against Uncle Jiu’s head.
"Ah Wei, stop!" Ren Fa quickly stopped Ah Wei when he saw this. He still needed Uncle Jiu to save his life, so he quickly said, "Uncle Jiu and the others are my saviors. The zombies have been eliminated by Uncle Jiu and the others."
"The zombies are gone. Looks like I, Captain Wei, don't need to go." Upon hearing this, Wei put his gun back into its holster, but Wang Han noticed that his legs were shaking.
Uncle Nine asked Wang Han, "Wang Han, you just said there's another zombie. Do you know which direction it escaped from?"
"Ah, one of them is talking about Master Ren. I didn't know he didn't turn into a zombie either," Wang Han said.
"What?" Upon hearing this, Ah Wei took three steps and moved five meters away from Master Ren, then took out his gun and aimed it at Master Ren.
"Ah Wei, what are you doing?" Upon seeing this, Ren Tingting immediately spread her arms to block Ren Fa.
"Tingting, get out of the way!" Ah Wei said righteously, "My uncle could turn into a zombie at any time. Let me shoot him dead and rid the people of this scourge."
“Master Ren won’t turn into a zombie,” Uncle Nine quickly said. “He can still be cured.”
