"Hello, I am the dean of this academy, Ondo."
"Hello, I'm Amy, Angie's summoning class teacher."
After the dean and teachers entered the room, they introduced themselves to Wang Han, and then said to An Qi, "An Qi, could you please translate for me?"
"Hello, Dean! Hello, Teacher!" Anqi quickly greeted them as well. She then relayed their conversation to Wang Han.
"Amy, you and Vivian go and prepare the ingredients. I'll have a chat with Mr. Wang Han. Angie, could you please translate for me?" the dean said.
After Vivian and the other person left, the dean started chatting with Wang Han.
The dean asked, "Wang Han, how old are you?"
Upon hearing this, Wang Han didn't say anything, but simply held up two fingers.
"Twenty years old," the dean said. "You really are a genius. There aren't many people your age with such strength."
"Haha..." Wang Han laughed. He was two thousand years old, but he deliberately made the dean misunderstand.
"Why are you wearing armor? Are you a dual cultivator of magic and martial arts?" the dean asked curiously, looking at Wang Han's armor. Wang Han's armor was of exceptional quality.
Wang Han shook his head. He had said he was omnipotent.
"Isn't that right? Then why are you wearing armor?" the dean asked when Wang Han shook his head.
"Don't you need to wear armor to protect yourself in battle?" Wang Han retorted.
"Uh...that makes sense." The dean was speechless for a moment.
Soon, Amy and Vivian had prepared the meal.
"Using turtle shells for hot pot and grilling is really delicious. It reminds me of my first time in the Monster Forest. Since we didn't have any cooking utensils, we used turtles to cook. The aroma of the cooked meat attracted a pack of Red Flame Wolves from nearby, and I almost killed my whole class. Luckily, students from other classes came to our aid in time." The academy's dean savored the food in front of him while recalling the past. "Later we learned that you can't cook in the Monster Forest, and you can't even eat food with a strong aroma. Monsters aren't afraid of fire; they only fear the strong."
As Anqi listened to the dean recount his memories and the precautions to take in the Monster Forest, she relayed them to Wang Han, secretly memorizing them in her mind.
Wang Han pursed his lips and made a note of it, but not out of mere attention, but on purpose. Wang Han was eager to attract as many as possible, not only for them to eat, but also for them to keep in captivity and, incidentally, to breed some pets.
Vivian also remembered the dean's words and asked, "Dean, are we going to the Monster Forest for a long-distance combat expedition next month?"
Upon hearing this, Wang Han's eyes lit up.
Seeing this, the dean, who had been secretly observing, understood that Wang Han wanted to see the Monster Forest, so he said, "That's right, we will be going on a month-long field trip at the beginning of next month."
Upon hearing this, Angie and Vivian both wore bitter expressions. It was already mid-month, and there simply wasn't enough time to develop a bond with their new summoned beasts.
"Are you worried about your summoned beasts dying and not having enough time to retrain them?" the dean said with a smile, gesturing for the two to look at Wang Han: "Perhaps this Mr. Wang Han has a solution; he is also a powerful summoner."
Upon hearing this, Wang Han curled his lip again, and without waiting for An Qi to speak, he summoned two two-headed wolf cubs, each the size of an ordinary wolfhound, from the Divine Might Space.
After the two chubby cubs appeared, they obediently stopped at Wang Han's feet and affectionately rubbed against his trouser leg.
Angie and Vivian stared in astonishment at the two small, two-headed wolves Wang Han had summoned, speechless. 'Did he summon his entire litter?'
"Those two we saw today were actually a male and a female? And they already have cubs." Even the academy dean was stunned for a moment, then reacted with joy and quickly said to Angie and Vivian, "Hurry up and thank Wang Han. He gave you these two magical beast cubs to be your summoned beasts."
Upon hearing this, the two looked at Wang Han with great joy, waiting for his confirmation. Even the summoning teacher who came with them was filled with envy. These two magical beasts were definitely powerful when they came of age. Even if they weren't high-level, they were definitely at the peak of the intermediate level (explained in later chapters about magical beast levels).
"From now on, these two will be your masters. Choose one of your masters." Wang Han nodded, patted the heads of the two two-headed wolf cubs, pointed at Vivian and Angie and said a few words they couldn't understand. The two two-headed wolf cubs reluctantly left Wang Han's side and squatted down at the feet of the two girls.
"Wang Han, you can understand us?" Angie asked, looking at Wang Han in surprise. She hadn't translated for him in her excitement; Wang Han understood their meaning immediately after the dean spoke, summoning two two-headed wolf cubs without waiting for her translation.
When Anqi said this, everyone else looked at Wang Han in surprise.
“As long as you face me directly, I have my own way of understanding what you are saying, I just can’t speak your language,” Wang Han replied in his mind.
“I see.” Angie nodded, thinking it must be some kind of special magic, and then repeated Wang Han’s words to the others.
"I didn't expect there to be such convenient magic!" Upon hearing this, everyone understood. It was normal for Wang Han to come from another world and know some magic they had never heard of.
After obtaining their new summoned beasts, Angie and Vivian began to bond with the two-headed wolves, feeding them meat one bite at a time. The first step in building a bond was to feed them.
After realizing that Wang Han could understand him, the dean began to talk to him. After all, he couldn't ignore such a powerful individual, especially one specializing in summoning. The test yielded positive results; the other party wasn't entirely evil. As for the summoned beast that killed Vivian, he simply assumed it was new to the world and didn't yet understand the academy's rules. As for the two green-skinned creatures afterward, well, he'd eaten them too. He'd also heard about Wang Han and Angie's predicament from Vivian and the summoning teachers—they were broke, struggling to support themselves, let alone summoned beasts. Given they were in the academy, such a desperate measure was understandable. However, this kind of thing could be tolerated once, but it couldn't continue like this.
“Wang Han, Anqi, I’ve also learned about your situation from Vivian and Anqi’s teacher,” the dean said, handing Anqi a black crystal card. “This card contains 20,000 gold coins (equivalent to 20,000 yuan), which I’m lending you temporarily. After the half-month-long trek through the Monster Forest, I believe Wang Han, with his strength, will have a good income. You can pay me back then.”
Upon hearing this, Anqi hesitated. Twenty thousand gold coins was a considerable sum of money, but she was indeed short of funds, and she also had Wang Han.
"Anqi, take it," Wang Han said to Anqi. Although he wasn't worried about money, he still needed an explanation for how it came about.
