In their perception, although these students were numerous, none of them were powerful. As if seeing a glimmer of hope, the magical beasts turned and charged madly towards the students.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh..." Several students from the archery class were the first to open the battle, shooting arrows imbued with sword energy from the gaps behind the warriors at the charging monsters.
"Fireball barrage..."
"Thorn forest..."
"Water dragon..."
"Wind Blade Cutting..."
...
A series of fireballs the size of basketballs, water dragons the size of water tanks (resembling giant dragons), and wind blades flew continuously from the hands of the magic class at the back, shooting into the monster horde. The fireballs ignited the monsters' fur, the water dragons crashed into the monsters and extinguished the flames, and the wind blades only left several-inch-thick wounds on the monsters' bodies.
Arm-length earthen spikes rose from the ground, standing in front of the charging monsters, only to be leaped over by them.
The two sides clashed in close combat. Only the warriors managed to hold off the monsters, but in the chaos, their blocking was ineffective and they didn't actually attack. The archers also drew their bows and fired, but at such close range, they didn't aim for vital organs, merely relieving some pressure on the warriors.
"Ouch...who shot me in the butt?" a male student from the soldiers' platoon cried out in pain.
"Sigh!" Wang Han sighed. What trash. They have absolutely no experience in life-or-death battles, and their teamwork is a complete mess. Plus, these magical beasts are currently fighting to the death; the students probably won't last much longer.
The two teachers also looked very unhappy. Although it was the first time these students had worked together as a large team, their performance was terrible.
"The archers aimed their arrows at the monster's neck, heart, and head."
"The water-based mage raises a water shield."
"Earth mage, creating traps among magical beasts."
