Chapter 374 Assassin

"This is... a dragon..."

Amy and the female warrior stared blankly at the black dragon that spread its wings and protected everyone. They felt that everything in front of them was so unreal, that they had actually seen the legendary dragon with their own eyes.

"Wow...huge?" The students stared in disbelief at the dragon that had spread its wings to shelter them. The enormous wings were like a colossal curtain that blotted out the sky. They knew what a dragon was, but not what a giant dragon was. However, they knew that this must be an incredibly terrifying dragon, something beyond their comprehension.

The three-headed monster, which was fighting with the brown hyena, dared not move after the black dragon appeared.

"A dragon, how... how is this possible?" In the darkness of the forest, several mercenaries looked at the enormous and ferocious dragon, their legs trembling involuntarily. They had just attacked a Summoning King.

"Run... This is not something we can handle." A mercenary with half his hair turned gray immediately said, turned around and ran for his life. The other mercenaries saw this and immediately started running for their lives as well.

"Master, should we kill them?" The black dragon also noticed the few mercenaries who had escaped into the forest.

"Capture them alive," Wang Han said.

"Roar..." Upon hearing the command, the black dragon immediately pushed off the ground with its four limbs and soared into the air. Without even spreading its wings, it simply leaped in front of the fleeing mercenaries, its massive body blocking their path.

"It's over!"

Seeing the terrifying black dragon blocking their path like a small black mountain, its huge yellow vertical pupils staring intently at them, the fleeing mercenaries immediately sat down on the ground in despair. The dragon's power was simply beyond their ability to fight.

"Damn guild! Wasn't it supposed to be just a few teachers from the academy and some mid-level mercenaries, with no one above the rank of captain? Why is there no intelligence indicating that a Summoning King is protecting this group of students?" a middle-aged mercenary said angrily.

"Shut up." The mercenary, whose hair was half gray, immediately stopped the middle-aged mercenary. The middle-aged mercenary realized he had said the wrong thing and immediately shut his mouth.

"What guild are you talking about?" Unfortunately, the old mercenary's warning came too late. Wang Han emerged from the forest behind them and asked.

Wang Han sensed something was wrong as soon as the three summoned beasts appeared. Given their strength, the two-headed wolf couldn't have let them in; they had appeared suddenly, summoned out of nowhere.

These people had already been detected by his senses. At first, he thought they were just some mercenaries passing by and didn't pay them any attention. Although they were very strong, the three magical beasts were suddenly summoned and immediately attacked him. Later, when they saw that the magical beasts were blocked, they immediately used an earthen wall to restrict him and then used fire-type area-of-effect magic to attack the other students. This indicated that their target was these two groups of students, or rather, one of the students in these two groups. The sudden attack by the magical beasts and the earthen wall were just to restrain him and prevent him from rescuing the students.

The elderly mercenary said, "We initially discovered you and your summoned beasts, but we never expected you to be the King of Summoning. We've been outmaneuvered this time, but don't expect to get any information out of us."

"Black blood is flowing from my mouth," the elderly mercenary said. Black blood also flowed from the mouths of the other mercenaries.

"Take poison." Wang Han glanced disdainfully at the mercenaries who were gushing black blood, crossed his arms, and said mockingly, "Naive. Did you think I couldn't do anything to you just because you're dead? There are plenty of ways to get information."

Upon hearing this, the mercenaries stared wide-eyed at Wang Han, their eyes filled with terror.

Ten minutes later, Wang Han sent the black dragon back, recalled the two-headed wolves that had blocked the area, and returned to the still-shaken students.

"Wang Han, how did it go? Did you find the attackers?" The two teachers asked anxiously when they saw Wang Han return.

“He committed suicide,” Wang Han said. His gaze turned to Ang Lai, the nephew of the academy's dean, Ang Duo.

Hearing Wang Han's words, the two teachers seemed to have been prepared. Seeing Wang Han's gaze turn to Ang Lai, they knew that Wang Han already knew that the enemy was targeting Ang Lai. They sighed, "As expected, you found out in the end."

“Wang Han…” Anqi and her students didn’t share the complicated feelings of the two teachers. They were somewhat confused by what the three were saying, but they immediately noticed Wang Han’s difference. They stared at him wide-eyed in disbelief. “You can speak our…language.”

Upon hearing this, the two teachers widened their eyes, only then realizing that Wang Han could speak their language.

“We used some vigilante justice,” Wang Han said. “While asking for information, we also used some special methods to learn their language.”

Upon hearing this, the two knew that Wang Han's method was definitely not honorable, so they stopped talking about it and said to Wang Han, "Wang Han, thank you, and we are very sorry for hiding this from you."

"No need to thank me or apologize." Wang Han shook his head and said, "Since you're willing to follow me deep into the Monster Forest, I'll naturally take responsibility for your safety. As for the Assassin's Guild, that's not within my consideration. Besides, we're still a team. There's no need for apologies either. I knew he was special from the moment I asked for his name. I didn't bother to remember the other students' names."

"......" Other classmates, after spending so much time together, is it really okay that you can't even be bothered to remember our names?

"Let's go back," Wang Han said.
