Before Wang Han's hand, countless half-meter-sized vampire bats rushed out madly from two three-meter-diameter spatial black holes, swarming towards the enemies and monsters below like a black curtain that blotted out the sky.
"How can there be so many?" Upon seeing this, the warriors and the middle-aged man who were charging forward quickly stopped and stared in horror at the swarm of bats that stretched like a black curtain over the sky. This number far exceeded the number that a normal summoner could summon.
"Sea of Fire." A mage in a red robe behind the group pointed his wand into the air, and a pillar of red fire shot out from the wand, spreading rapidly through the air and rushing towards the swarm of bats like a sea of fire.
"Wind!" Another mage, dressed in a blue magic robe, also prepared his spell. A gale, starting from his magic wand, quickly rose and blew into the sea of fire ahead, making the flames even more ferocious.
"Keep going!" Upon seeing this, the middle-aged man immediately shouted to his other swordsman companions and charged towards the centipede again.
"Ice Crystal Frozen Soil." Behind them, a mage in a blue and white magic robe pointed the tip of his magic staff at the ground, and half a meter thick white ice began to freeze from the ground, seemingly trying to freeze the centipede.
Two archers were intently aiming at Wang Han, their arrows imbued with terrifying sword energy, ready to unleash a deadly strike at the first opportunity. The remaining two mages, one with a green glowing staff and the other with a yellow glowing staff, stood ready to support the charging warriors. Their teamwork was impeccable.
Seeing this, Wang Han simply smiled, stopped summoning the bats, and closed the passages between the two divine power spaces. Without the bats' obstruction, the sea of fire descended from the sky as quickly as if poured water. With a flick of his wrist, a golden toad appeared in Wang Han's hand.
The golden toad that appeared in Wang Han's hand opened its mouth, and a powerful suction force immediately formed from the toad's mouth. The falling sea of fire, like water finding an outlet, quickly entered the golden toad's belly through the suction force.
"Whoosh..." The sound of arrows cutting through the air rang out. Two archers who were already prepared seized the opportunity when they saw Wang Han dealing with the sea of fire. They shot out two arrows that they had prepared beforehand. The arrows were like streaks of light and arrived in front of Wang Han in the blink of an eye. One was aimed directly at Wang Han's head, and the other was aimed at Wang Han's neck.
"Clang clang..." A blurry figure flashed in front of Wang Han in the blink of an eye. Two crisp sounds rang out. The rhinoceros beetle that had previously knocked away the ice spikes blocked Wang Han's path. Two sharp arrows aimed at Wang Han's vitals struck the rhinoceros beetle's hard carapace, producing only two metallic clangs before spinning away.
"Crack, crack, crack..." The centipede moved. The ice that had frozen it shattered and broke free, revealing the part of the centipede that had been hidden underground. It had far more than a hundred legs; it had a thousand legs and was five hundred meters long, like a coiled dragon staring down at the people below. The dozen or so demonic beasts that had charged forward quickly stopped, growling softly, but dared not continue their advance.
"This is the Demon Beast King." Upon seeing the enormous centipede, the middle-aged man's expression changed drastically, and he immediately stopped. A single Demon Beast King was enough to kill them all, not to mention the rhinoceros beetle beside them, whose speed was even faster than an arrow shot from a bow. There was no way they could kill the summoner who had summoned them.
"We're no match for them, retreat!" the middle-aged man shouted, quickly turning and fleeing towards the location of the mages. Seeing this, the others also began to flee, while the mages continued casting spells until the warriors came and hoisted them up, without stopping.
The earth and ice mages created earthen walls and ice fields behind them, while the wind mage cast a levitation spell on everyone. It wasn't that he didn't use levitation or flight spells, but flying in the sky would only lead to a faster death.
"Even your escape is so coordinated, but you all ran away after your performance, while my pet hasn't even had a chance to perform yet," Wang Han said calmly as he watched them flee.
"Buzz..." Upon hearing Wang Han's words, the rhinoceros beetle, being the fastest, flapped its six wings and in the blink of an eye overtook the middle-aged man and his group from the sky, blocking their way. Its speed was more than twice that of the bullet bee.
"Rumble..." The centipede's many segments also moved, carrying Wang Han, and its body moved quickly. Trees collapsed wherever it passed. The dozen or so demonic beasts rushed up to try to stop the centipede from chasing its master, but they were either knocked away by the centipede's body or quickly pierced by the centipede's long legs, leaving them covered in holes.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh..." Even faster than centipedes, several bullet bees had already flown into the enemy ranks and launched the first attack.
"Pfft, pfft, pfft..." Blossoms of blood bloomed on the mages' hands. Their hands were pierced, and the magic staffs in their hands fell to the ground.
Only then did the middle-aged man and his companions notice the bullet-like bees that left trails of afterimages. But they could only watch helplessly as the mage was crippled.
"Two monster kings, and other special monsters, we can't escape now." The middle-aged man looked at the rhinoceros beetle blocking their way and the centipede surrounding them with its body, and said to the others with his eyes closed.
"Since you know you can't escape, then honestly tell me what I want to know," Wang Han said, sitting atop the centipede's head and looking down at the middle-aged man.
“Impossible,” the middle-aged man said, quickly throwing the mage off his body. He then plunged his broadsword into the chest of the mage and twisted it violently.
The others followed suit, discarding the magicians they carried and then killing them.
