Chapter 377 The Great Warcraft Uprising: Not Wang Han's Fault

"Who sent you? Is your target Anqi?" Wang Han asked, looking at the middle-aged man in front of him who had a dazed look in his eyes.

“It’s Grand Duke Angra.” Under the horrified gaze of the mage beside him, the middle-aged man said in a daze, “Our target is a girl named Angie. We’re going to kill everyone else and then stage it as a monster riot attack.”

“Grand Duke Angra.” Wang Han paused for a moment before continuing, “Why did he send you to kill Anqi?”

"I don't know." The middle-aged man's soul continued to speak blankly, "We were only ordered to kill a student in the beginner summoning class at the Ang Magic Academy named Angie, and then make it look like an accidental death. We don't know anything else, and we dare not ask."

"Is that all you know?" Wang Han said disappointedly, taking the middle-aged man's soul into his Divine Might Space. He then looked at the magician. "Now it's your turn. I hope you know more."

...

"How did it go?" The two teachers who had been waiting for Wang Han asked anxiously as he returned. The students also looked at Wang Han. They really thought they were going to die. Fortunately, Wang Han was able to block all the attacks under those circumstances.

“They ran away.” Wang Han shook his head.

Upon hearing this, everyone's hearts tightened again. They had all witnessed how powerful those guys were. Those enormous magical beasts were comparable to Wang Han's two-headed wolf, and were at least level nine or higher.

The assassin has escaped and could return at any moment, lurking in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to strike and kill them. Wang Han can't protect them all the time; without his protection, they would all die.

“Let’s hurry back,” Amy said. “Once we rejoin the academy’s team, these assassins shouldn’t dare to make any more moves.”

“Okay, let’s hurry back.” Wang Han nodded, glancing at the thief who had already committed suicide by poison. The cold killing intent in his eyes was enough to freeze the soul.

"Class, let's go." Amy shuddered when she saw the murderous intent in Wang Han's eyes and quickly went to call the students to start their journey.

————————————

Outside the Monster Forest, the teachers of Ang Magic Academy, along with their students and mercenaries, searched for and hunted monsters that had escaped from the Monster Forest in the fields and wilderness surrounding the town.

Because the monsters were merely frightened out of the forest and lacked high-level commanders, they didn't attempt to attack cities or anything like that. They only caused some damage to the town and nearby villages and farmland. This relieved the people of Gru Town, who then began clearing out the monsters that had fled the Monster Forest.

The students couldn't help but feel fortunate. This was much easier than in the Monster Forest. The wilderness farmland was not as complex as the Monster Forest, so it was not only much less dangerous, but they could also sleep soundly in the town of Gru at night without worrying about monsters suddenly jumping out to attack them.

In the town of Gru, in a room at the camp rented by the academy, the vice dean of Ang Magic Academy and most of the academy's instructors were gathered.

"Teacher Kang Nai, have those three teams returned?" The vice dean of Ang Magic Academy asked another teacher.

"They haven't come back yet." Upon hearing this, Ms. Kang Nai shook her head and replied with a worried expression.

"It's been two days already, could it be..." a teacher said worriedly, though she didn't finish her sentence, the meaning was already very clear.

"Let's keep waiting! Maybe they're just lost, or maybe they have a lot of wounded, and perhaps they've already escaped from another part of the Monster Forest," the vice-dean said hopefully.

Despite their deep anxiety, no one dared to venture further into the Demon Beast Forest, for no one knew if the dragon was still there. Encountering the dragon would mean certain death.

"The mercenaries reported that a powerful team of over forty mercenaries ventured deep into the Monster Forest. Were those people overestimating themselves by attempting to slay a dragon, only to anger it?" a teacher said bitterly.

"Sigh!" Upon hearing this, the vice dean sighed, feeling the same hatred in his heart. However, he didn't know how to judge those who dared to dream of slaying dragons, because such things were commonplace. For fame, for profit, for all sorts of reasons, there were always some self-proclaimed powerful people who would slay dragons and hunt powerful magical beasts. If they succeeded, they would gain fame and get what they wanted, and people would sing their praises. If they failed, the innocent victims would always be the weak. These people would either die or simply wash their hands of it, thinking that they had only failed once, and few people would care about the disaster they caused.

“Peng…”

"Dean..." Just as the vice dean and teachers were filled with worry, a teacher burst in, his face beaming with joy, and said, "They're back! Two teams have come out of the Monster Forest and are almost in town."

"Thank God." Upon hearing this, the teachers breathed a sigh of relief and rushed out of the house toward the town gate.

"Could it be that Wang Han's team hasn't returned?" the vice dean thought to himself, and he also hurried towards the town gate.

His biggest worry now is Wang Han's team. If the dragon hadn't appeared, Wang Han's team would have been the safest. But now that the dragon has appeared, Wang Han's team has become the most vulnerable, because strong individuals are more likely to be noticed. Moreover, Dean Angduo's nephew, Anglai, is also in that team.

"This..." When the teachers arrived at the town gate, they saw a group of more than forty people. Amy was walking at the front, and the students were also leading the horses carrying the prey. They were chatting and laughing as they returned. It seemed that there were almost no wounded, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief again.
