Chapter 389 Wang Han, please

"Sigh!" Eliza sighed and followed.

…………

"Waaah..." The two hadn't walked far when Anqi's sorrowful cries rang out.

Following the sound of crying, the two found Angie kneeling in front of the ruins of a small house, sobbing uncontrollably.

Seeing Anqi kneeling on the ground, wailing, Wang Han began to observe his surroundings. This room and the surrounding rooms were the most severely affected by the fire, and it was also where the fire started.

"Wang Han, go and comfort her! You're Anqi's only family now," Eliza said to Wang Han, seeing him just standing there watching.

Hearing this, Wang Han shook his head. "Let her cry for a while!"

“It’s good for you to cry for a while,” Elizabeth nodded.

"It's Angie." A voice rang out, and four or five middle-aged men arrived at the ruins after the fire. One of the older men looked at Angie, who was wailing, and said pitifully, "Poor child, your mother is dead, and you are all alone. It's quite pitiful. From now on, you will live with us uncles!"

"Yes, Angie, you'll be living with your uncles from now on. They'll take care of you."

“Anqi, your mother is dead, but you must live on and be strong.”

“Anqi, come with your uncles! Your uncles will take you to your mother’s grave to pay your respects.”

“We were there when that accidental fire broke out. Before your mother died, she entrusted you to us and asked us to take care of you.”

The other men also quickly joined in, offering their own advice, and stepped forward to try and pull Angie away.

"Bastards!" The evil intent in the eyes of these men was not concealed at all. Elizabeth knew all about the filthy thoughts in their hearts. She clenched her fists and was about to step forward to teach these men a lesson.

Wang Han suddenly reached out and stopped Elizabeth, then asked Anqi, "Anqi, do you hate it?"

Wang Han's words, like a resounding bell, brought An Qi back to her senses, and she looked at Wang Han.

Seeing that some people had suddenly appeared, dressed in a way that didn't resemble people from the slums, and with a huge magical beast following behind them, the men immediately felt a little guilty, but still asked in a fierce tone, "Who are you? Angie's mother entrusted us to take care of her before she died."

Wang Han ignored the men and continued asking Annie, "Angie, do you hate it?"

Under Eliza's puzzled gaze, Wang Han continued without waiting for Angie's reply, "Your mother's death was not an accident. The fire marks show that your house and the surrounding houses burned together, and it was the source of the fire, not something that started in one house or corner. Your mother was murdered and then the fire was staged to look like an accident, just like when you were assassinated."

"Kid, don't talk about hatred or not, this is just an ordinary fire." The leader shouted, then said to Anqi, "Anqi, don't believe him. We saw your mother trapped in the fire with our own eyes. Before she died, she asked us to take care of you."

"Dry tongue." Wang Han waved his hand, and the soil on the ground seemed to come alive, enveloping the group. He then continued to ask An Qi, "An Qi, tell me, do you hate the death of your mother, who was your only family?"

"Hate!" Anqi roared, turned around and knelt in front of Wang Han, tears streaming down her face, and said, "Wang Han, please, I beg you, take me as your disciple, please, help me take revenge."

Elizabeth stared blankly at Wang Han, and then she understood what Wang Han was going to do. Wang Han wanted to make Anqi grow up, using hatred.

“I can help you get revenge,” Wang Han said, shaking his head. “But you are not suitable to be my apprentice right now.”

"Why?" Anqi asked unwillingly. "If there's anything wrong, I can change it, I can work hard. Wang Han, please, take me as your apprentice, I beg you!"

Wang Han asked, "Can you abandon everything?"

Before Anqi could answer, Wang Han continued, "Everything, including your past and your kindness. The law of survival in this world is plunder; the strong plunder the weak to survive, and high-level magical beasts eat low-level magical beasts to survive."

“I can,” Angie said without hesitation.

"Really?" Wang Han looked at An Qi and asked doubtfully. He threw a long knife and stuck it into the ground in front of An Qi, pointed to the men who were covered in mud and unable to move, and said, "Then kill them. These people must have bullied you and your daughter a lot. Let's start our revenge with them. Let me see your determination."

“I…” When Anqi heard Wang Han order her to kill someone, she hesitated. Her hand trembled as she raised it, but she dared not touch the long knife on the ground.

"Anqi, no!" The men, covered in mud with only their heads sticking out, looked at Anqi in horror.

"Anqi, do you know? My strength is built on countless bones, and the blood on my hands is enough to fill rivers and lakes." Wang Han spoke calmly, as if he were talking about drinking water, but the bloodthirstiness in his words made people tremble.

Upon hearing this, Anqi's body was still trembling, but her hand had already gripped the hilt of the long sword, and she pulled it out, though she no longer dared to point the sword at the men.

“True strength doesn’t show mercy easily, and strength doesn’t need mercy.” Wang Han continued calmly, “Think about how these people treated you and your mother. They said so much before, as if they were genuinely kind people who cared about you, but in reality, they just wanted to treat you as a plaything. Because your mother is dead, no one can protect you anymore, no one can stand in front of you. So, kill them, and tell everyone that you are not easy to bully, that you have the potential to become strong.”
