Night fell. Wang Han sat on the windowsill, quietly watching the moon in the sky. Eliza sat quietly in the room, looking worriedly at Angie, who was sleeping on the bed. Angie's brows were furrowed, her face was pale, her hands and feet moved occasionally, and she was muttering something. Her expression seemed to be in great pain; she was probably having a nightmare.
"Ah..." Suddenly, Angie screamed and sat up abruptly in bed. Realizing it was a dream, she gasped for breath.
"You're awake." Wang Han's gaze shifted from the night sky, and he spoke gently to An Qi.
"Hmm," Angie responded, gradually calming down as she stared blankly at her hands.
"Are you feeling very guilty?" Wang Han asked.
“No.” Angie shook her head and sobbed, “Those people deserved to die. They’ve bullied my mother and even humiliated her ever since I can remember. People around them are used to their evil deeds. Such things happen often in the slums. My mother has been silently enduring it all for my sake. This is just my first time killing someone, and I’m not used to it.”
"So what now?" Wang Han asked.
“Now…” Angie paused for a moment, then said, “Although I’m not used to it, there’s a kind of pleasure, a feeling of release.”
"Take a good rest these few days and get back to normal," Wang Han said. "We'll be leaving this city in a few days."
"Where do we go next?" Anqi asked, understanding Wang Han's words.
Upon hearing this, Wang Han smiled and said, "Of course, it's to avenge you. I already know who your enemy is."
