"I've been in this world for over three years now, and there are professionals everywhere. Even beggars on the street have professional ranks. And I'm only now applying for a professional rank." Wang Han thought to himself, speechless, as he rode his armored rhinoceros and followed Reg towards the first-tier academy.
'A god going to a first-tier academy to take the professional exam—Wang Han is probably the first in the entire continent's history (excluding magical beasts)! I wonder what kind of expression he'll have when he gets to the academy and sees those kids.' Reg, who was leading the way, glanced at Wang Han out of the corner of his eye and couldn't help but think to himself. It's a pity there are no exceptions for applying for a professional rank; you have to take the exams level by level. I doubt even the person who made this rule expected a god to apply for a rank!
Just then, the two arrived at the gate of a building that resembled a Western manor.
“We’ve arrived,” Reg said to Wang Han, taking a few steps back to stand behind him. Although he wasn’t Wang Han’s subordinate, this was a sign of respect for a strong person. He and Wang Han had only known each other for less than half a day and weren’t yet friends who could stand shoulder to shoulder.
"Have we arrived?" Upon hearing this, Wang Han, who was deep in thought, looked up at the academy ahead. It was a manor resembling that of an ancient Western nobleman, covering an area of about two thousand square meters. Above the gate was written "Povich First-Class Academy." At the gate, two teachers on duty in the guardhouse were talking quietly, seemingly exchanging experiences in teaching students. Inside the academy, the sound of students reading aloud could be heard.
In the duty room, a teacher gestured towards Reg and Wang Han, who were walking out of the academy, and said to another teacher, "Hey! Someone's here. A barrel-dwarf and an armored knight. They're even wearing such heavy armor in the city."
Upon hearing this, the other teacher turned to look, and then cold sweat dripped down his forehead. How could his companion be so clueless and thick-skinned as to say such a thing? That armor was obviously magnificent, and their mount was of a higher level than theirs. Clearly, they were not people they could afford to offend. Weren't they afraid that the other person would hear them?
Wang Han. "..."
Reg. "..."
The teacher who hadn't spoken approached Wang Han and his companion, asking, "Gentlemen, what brings you to the academy?"
Upon hearing this, Reg stepped forward and said, "I brought this..."
“We’re here to apply for professional ranks,” Wang Han said, glaring at Reg. Reg immediately shut up.
"Apply for a professional qualification." Upon hearing this, the teacher paused for a moment, looked at the two carefully, and then said, "Alright, please come with me, I will take you to see the dean."
Another teacher curled his lip and muttered disdainfully, "They're so old and only now applying for a first-tier professional level."
Although his companion's voice wasn't loud, it was just enough for Wang Han and his two companions to hear. The teacher who was leading the way for Wang Han and his companion gave an awkward smile.
"I'll beat the shit out of you in a minute," Reg said through gritted teeth. How dare they call him a barrel dwarf and look down on him.
"Barrel Dwarf, if you don't choose me later, you're a coward." Upon hearing this, the disdainful teacher immediately pointed at Reg and said. Then he pointed at Wang Han and said, "You choose me later too, you two pieces of trash."
"Uh!" Hearing this, he gave an awkward laugh, not knowing what to say.
"Reg, will it be a problem if we kill someone later?" Wang Han asked Reg. Having been targeted repeatedly, Wang Han was also annoyed.
"Sir, with your status and strength, let alone killing him, even killing his entire family wouldn't cause any trouble," Reg said with a sneer, looking at the teacher who had looked down on them. While those below the level of a professional saint would indeed be held responsible for killing someone, especially in a city, a professional saint killing an ordinary person wouldn't face so much trouble. At most, they'd have to pay some compensation, and they themselves would be completely unscathed, not even having to pay money. And let alone a god like Wang Han, even if he killed his entire family, no one would dare question it, not even nobles—that's the privilege of the strong. In fact, just by spreading the word, Wang Han wouldn't even need to lift a finger; plenty of people would want this teacher dead.
Following the teacher, Wang Han and his companion passed the academy's sports field and walked straight towards a middle-aged man watching the students exercise. The students in the physical education class watched them with curiosity, especially Wang Han's magnificent black armor and imposing mount, which filled them with envy.
"Teacher Xiqi, is there anything I can help you with?" The middle-aged man asked with a smile as he saw the teacher leading Wang Han and the other man towards him.
“Dean Popovich, it’s like this, these two are here at the academy to apply for professional level assessments,” Teacher Sitch quickly said.
"Whoa..." Upon hearing that the two had come to apply for a professional level, the students immediately erupted in commotion.
"We're applying for a professional qualification assessment." Upon hearing this, Popovich carefully examined Wang Han and Reg, then asked with a smile, "What professions are you applying for?"
“Warrior, mage,” Wang Han said.
“Okay, please wait a moment, both of you.” Povich nodded and instructed Teacher Sitch, “Teacher Sitch, could you please go to the academy’s warehouse and get two recording crystals, a professional level assessment form, and one professional level badge each for warriors and mages?”
"Should we bring the job level badge as well?" Teacher Sitch asked upon hearing this.
“Bring them all!” Upon hearing this, Povich said with a smile, “I believe this little test will be no difficulty for the two gentlemen. Also, please call all the teachers who are free.”
"Yes." Upon hearing this, Teacher Sitch nodded and said. The principal's words meant that these two were just as capable as the teachers. He secretly thought that the teacher who was on duty with him was doomed. Although they wouldn't die, they would inevitably have to stay in bed for a while.
