Chapter 421 Arrival at the Ten Thousand Mountains

"My name is Wang Han. I'm not exactly a genius, just a bit studious," Wang Han said with a smile. This fake father and daughter are quite special. Not only do they use special masks to conceal their true appearances, but even their displayed personalities and relationships are fake. The only real thing is their names. And this girl is quite unique. For a moment, Wang Han became rather interested.

When Ye Long claimed to be Ye Yue Su's father, Wang Han's discernment ability immediately detected the truthfulness of his words. With Wang Han's further verification, it was determined that the two were only distant relatives. Ye Yue Su spoke to Wang Han as if they were old friends, but Wang Han still noticed her unnatural manner; she was clearly a taciturn person who wasn't good at communicating.

The masks on their faces weren't magical artifacts; they were simply finely crafted, somewhat resembling human skin masks. Though ordinary, their ordinariness made them stand out in this world of magic and sword energy. Wang Han also noticed that their strengths were quite unique. Ye Long's strength had reached the level of a swordsman king, and the girl named Ye Yue Su wasn't a swordsman as she claimed, but a swordsman wielder. However, she didn't use sword energy or magic; instead, it resembled the spiritual energy used by Uncle Ying, yet it was different. More importantly, the girl possessed two souls within one body—a situation he had never encountered before.

“Mr. Wang Han, my daughter seems to get along very well with you. How about we travel together?” Ye Long said with a smile, seeing that Wang Han was not as cold as others had said.

"Of course, I get quite bored by myself, this will make the journey more interesting." Wang Han smiled and nodded in agreement with Ye Long's words. In his heart, however, he was pondering why this fake father and daughter had deliberately approached him.

"Mr. Wang Han, you are a dual-class leader, what is your class?" Seeing that Wang Han was the same, Ye Yue Su immediately started talking again and asked Wang Han curiously, "I also hope to become a dual-class leader, but unfortunately I only have the talent of a swordsman, and I am also not very smart. I have only just reached the level of a sword master."

“I am a swordsman and a fire mage,” Wang Han replied with a smile. “You are already a genius compared to ordinary people. You are at least a swordsman, and you are still young, with time to continue to grow.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Yue Su was momentarily at a loss for words.

"Mr. Wang Han, I heard you're also going to Batu this time?" Ye Long asked, easing Ye Yue Su's embarrassment.

"Well, this time we're going to Batu to take a look, and kill a few people along the way," Wang Han said with a smile.

"That father and daughter who just arrived are actually chatting so happily with Wang Han." The other adventurers were filled with curiosity as they watched the Ye family father and daughter walking behind Wang Han, chatting and laughing. Many of them had tried to approach Wang Han and build a relationship, but all had been rebuffed. This father and daughter weren't particularly strong, and the girl named Ye Yue Su was quite ordinary-looking, yet they could chat and laugh so easily with Wang Han. Many were even a little envious; they also wanted to get closer to Wang Han, after all, a powerful friend could sometimes be a life, or even several lives. Unfortunately, Wang Han was too aloof; he wouldn't talk about topics he wasn't interested in. Their flattery and various attempts to please him had failed, and they could only give up in frustration.

"I don't think they'll talk for long! They'll find out as soon as Mr. Wang Han's interest wanes," one adventurer said, shaking his head.

“I think so too.” The other adventurers nodded in agreement.

"I don't think so. Their names are all quite difficult to pronounce. They might be from the same place," one adventurer guessed.

........

Time passed day by day, and in the blink of an eye, the team had been traveling for more than two months. They had not only left the territory of the Chaoyang Empire, but had also arrived at the Ten Thousand Mountains.

In the past two months, the adventurers who had said that Ye Long and his daughter wouldn't be able to talk to Wang Han for long were all shocked. Not only did Wang Han and the other two get along well, but they also seemed to have a very good relationship. They were together almost every day. When eating, Ye Long and his daughter only ate with Wang Han and distanced themselves from the others.

The Ye family father and daughter even offered to help Wang Han with a quest along the way, without considering that they were only swordsmen. They actually offered to help a dual-class master with a quest.

'What exactly are these two's motives?' Looking at Ye Yue Su and Ye Long, this fake father and daughter, Wang Han couldn't help but ponder. From the moment they approached him, Wang Han sensed that they had a purpose in getting close to him, but he didn't detect any malice. He also felt that these two were somewhat interesting, so Wang Han didn't expose them. However, Wang Han didn't expect that the two would want to help him complete a task along the way, a task that was far beyond their apparent strength. Wang Han knew that this was out of kindness, but precisely because of this, Wang Han was puzzled. If they had no ill intentions towards him, and were even willing to risk exposing their strength and identities to help him, then what exactly were their motives?

"Uncle Wang Han, tell me a story." A cute voice came from afar, interrupting Wang Han's thoughts. A little girl, about seven or eight years old, wearing a pink tulle dress and with rosy cheeks, ran towards Wang Han, calling out sweetly as she ran.

"Miss, slow down, don't fall!" An elderly man dressed as a servant called out worriedly from behind the little girl.

Seeing the little girl running towards him, Wang Han shook his head helplessly, a rare genuine smile appearing on his lips. He gently picked up the little girl and placed her on the back of the white-armored divine rhinoceros.

The little girl was a member of the caravan, and she had been in the most important carriage of the caravan with the deity Wang Han had discovered, along with the two false gods. It was unclear how she met Ye Yue Su; Ye Yue Su had brought her back, and she had been constantly crying and making a fuss. Wang Han simply told her a story, and afterwards, she frequently came to Wang Han, pestering him to tell her stories. Surprisingly, the caravan members and the three hidden powerhouses seemed oblivious to this, even providing the little girl with a separate, ordinary carriage and assigning a professional saint to protect her. However, Wang Han knew they were secretly watching the area, and were actually quite concerned about the little girl's safety.
