Upon entering the yamen, under the county magistrate's interrogation and even torture, the men remained steadfast in their claims, all stating that they had encountered monsters. Subsequently, the entire village fled into the county town, plunging the town into panic. However, shortly afterward, news spread that the demons had been slain by a general clad in black armor, riding a majestic steed.
