However, apart from Li Shishi's initial response, there was no further sound from her room. Li Shishi was clever; she had been told by Gao Qiu that she must not see the Divine Might General, and she knew that seeing him would sever her relationship with Emperor Huizong. Therefore, she stubbornly refused to leave her boudoir. As for the reason, she understood it even better than Gao Qiu did.
"Shishi, please save your mother for the sake of all the hardship she endured raising you!"
"Shishi, I'm kneeling down for you. Please come out. If you don't come, I won't be able to live either."
After trying to persuade her for a while without getting a response from Li Shishi, the madam cried out. She then actually knelt down in front of Li Shishi's door with a thud.
However, even so, there was not a sound in the room.
"Miss Shishi, come with me. I have arranged another room and sent people to guard it." Just then, Gao Qiu's voice came faintly.

Seeing this, Yang Zhi didn't hesitate. He drew his knife and slashed at the door crack before rushing inside. He found the room empty; the window was open, a sheet was hanging out, and the person had already run out. Looking out the window, there was no one to be seen.
"Phew!" The madam breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this and said to Yang Zhi, "We have invited the person. Please invite this gentleman and me to come here. I will go and fetch some items to present to General Shenwei."
"Okay." Yang Zhi nodded upon seeing this. He then followed the madam to another room.
"Miss Shishi, this is it." On the other side, Gao Qiu led Li Shishi back from the backyard to the second floor, rushing back as if he really was looking for a hiding place for her. He was actually leading her to the room where Wang Han and Li Shishi were staying. The guards didn't stop them. Just as Gao Qiu had said, they found another room and even arranged for guards.
Gao Qiu was incredibly cunning. He knew that if the madam went to fetch Li Shishi, she would most likely run away, and it would be extremely difficult for him to do so himself, as Li Shishi understood the seriousness of the situation. So, he first peeked out the window of Li Shishi's boudoir in the backyard and tricked her into coming. In her haste to escape, Li Shishi didn't have time to think things through, and since Gao Qiu was sent by the emperor, she believed him.

"General, Miss Li Shishi has arrived." Gao Qiu stopped at the door and said respectfully. Li Shishi looked inside and saw two people already sitting at the table.
"Come in!" Wang Han said with a smile, glancing at the two people at the door. Although Gao Qiu was a treacherous villain, he was undeniably quite capable. He had long known that the madam and Yang Zhi had little chance of successfully inviting Li Shishi, but Gao Qiu had managed to trick her into coming in no time.
