Chapter 539 Pig Cage Village

Wang Han sped across the sea in his speedboat, accelerating at lightning speed, several times faster than a passenger plane. Unfortunately, thanks to Wang Han's stealth cloak, no one could detect the speedboat's obviously abnormal speed.

Xia Shiqi sat obediently next to Wang Han, closing her eyes to feel the so-called ocean atmosphere that Wang Han had mentioned.

The surrounding seascape was monotonous: blue sky, white clouds, and seawater, with nothing to reference. Wang Han used his abilities to block the howling wind and keep the speedboat steadily speeding across the sea without taking off. Xia Shiqi, who was sitting obediently next to Wang Han, didn't realize how terrifying the speedboat's speed was until she fell asleep.

"We're almost there."

The speedboat sped across the sea for less than an hour before the mainland came into view in the distance. With Wang Han's keen eyesight, he could clearly see the port, the ships in the port, the lights, the pedestrians on their way home, and even the every move of the pedestrians.

Wang Han glanced at the sleeping Xia Shiqi, smiled slightly, and the speedboat immediately began to slow down, eventually coming to a stop. The stealth device was deactivated, and in the eyes of the people on the dock, the speedboat looked like it had just returned from a sea trip. Even the police officers on the shore paid no attention to the speedboat that had docked, continuing to inspect the suspicious vessels in front of them.

After glancing at the police officers conducting inspections by the dock, Wang Han moored the speedboat, gently picked up the sleeping Xia Shiqi, and carried her onto the dock.

No one paid any attention to Wang Han as he approached the dock, nor did anyone question him. The police continued to question the boat owner and inspect the vessel, letting Wang Han leave without even checking his identification. In their view, no one would use a speedboat for smuggling or illegal crossings, because it was simply impossible. The small speedboat couldn't possibly cross the ocean; it would just circle around the area and then return. Judging from the fact that he had a little girl with him, he was probably just a slightly wealthy person taking his daughter out to sea for a trip and was reluctant to leave, so he was returning late.

"A familiar place." Seeing that no one paid any attention to him at the entire dock, Wang Han smiled, picked up the sleeping Xia Shiqi, and walked towards Kowloon. The Pearl of the Orient, Wang Han, who had experienced many worlds, was very familiar with this place.

In Kowloon, there's a place called Pig Cage Alley, a melting pot of all sorts of people. It's not only a haven for crime and criminals, but also a favorite spot for illegal immigrants. Poverty, overcrowding, and chaos are the defining characteristics of this place. It's dirty, messy, cramped, and narrow, just like a pig cage, hence the name Pig Cage Alley. As for its original name, few people remember it anymore.

The houses in Pig Cage Village were densely packed and chaotically arranged, with narrow passageways forming a labyrinthine network. Piles of garbage lay scattered in the slightly wider alleyways and corners of staircases, the stench of excrement attracting swarms of flies. It was no worse than a slum or refugee camp. Outdoor entertainment here consisted of moving between houses or onto rooftops.

Wang Han carried the sleeping Xia Shiqi into Pig Cage Village, whereupon pairs of eyes immediately turned to him.

Greed, pity, regret, and amusement—the people around them viewed Wang Han and the sleeping Xia Shiqi based on their own imaginations and conjectures, filling in their own interpretations of good and evil, right and wrong, and then whispering their guesses to those around them.

No wonder these people have been living here all this time. Feeling the gazes around him, Wang Han sneered.

"Hey kid, are you trying to sell this little girl? She's really cute." A young man who looked like a thug asked Wang Han, calling him "kid" as he reached out to touch Xia Shiqi's face.

"Crack!" The next moment, the young man's entire arm was broken, the white bone piercing through the flesh and skin and exposed to the air, spraying blood all over his face. No one saw how Wang Han did it.

"Ah!" The pain made the young man almost scream out in agony.

"Clang!" In the next moment, a three-foot-long sharp blade had already pierced into the young man's mouth, hovering over his uvula. Just a little further and it would pierce the back of his head.

The young man's scream abruptly stopped as he felt the pain in his uvula. He bit down hard on the sharp blade in his mouth, not daring to relax for even a moment. His heart trembled, cold sweat poured down his back, and he was terrified. His legs quivered, and yellow liquid dripped continuously from his crotch.

The people around were also startled. Seeing Wang Han's ruthlessness, all their speculations and guesses disappeared, and all that remained in their eyes was fear. No one dared to say another word.

"If you dare to reach out, I'll break your hand; if you dare to shout, I'll cut off your tongue; if you dare to speak or write nonsense, I'll chop off your head too," Wang Han said coldly. With a flick of his hand, the sharp blade piercing the young man's mouth was pulled out, along with all the teeth the young man was biting the blade with, and a piece of his tongue.

His tongue was severed, red blood and white teeth splattering everywhere. Large beads of cold sweat dripped down his face, yet the young man couldn't utter a sound, not even a scream. He was a thug, but now he had encountered someone far more ruthless than himself.

"Hiss...!" The onlookers gasped and covered their mouths, as if they were experiencing the same thing.

"Trash! You should be glad you're in China." Wang Han sneered, brandishing his sharp blade with a flourish before sheathing it at his waist. His movements were fluid and seamless, without the slightest pause. Just watching him send chills down one's spine.

After sheathing his blade, Wang Han wasted no time. Carrying Xia Shiqi, he headed deeper into Pig Cage Village. Seeing this, the people around him quickly retreated and went back into their houses. No one dared to stay in Wang Han's path.
