The multinational coalition lined up their tanks and armored vehicles, spaced no more than two meters apart, and charged toward the seemingly endless horde of zombies at a speed of more than ten yards per second.
"Whoosh...!" In front of the armored vehicles and tanks, under the command of the advanced zombies, countless zombies howled and charged towards the armored vehicles and tanks that were lined up in front of them like madmen. They were densely packed and overlapping, like rolling waves sweeping towards the charging tanks and armored vehicles.
"Fire..."
"Da da da..."
Looking at the zombie horde that was still about four or five hundred meters away, with a series of commands, machine guns on the top of tanks and armored vehicles continuously shot out flashes of fire from their firing ports, and the hiss of various machine guns echoed in the roar of the engines.
"Bang bang bang..." The tank cannons roared, and shells, glowing red, flew towards the zombie horde ahead.
"Puff puff puff..."
Under the salvo of tens of thousands of machine guns, limbs and pieces of flesh flew everywhere in the surging zombie wave. The flames of the explosion filled the front of the zombie wave, and dirt and dismembered bodies flew everywhere.
In an instant, the surging wave of zombies collapsed like a crashing shoreline.
Tanks and armored vehicles roared as they charged into the horde of fallen zombies, their tracks crushing flesh and bones.
"Bang bang bang..."
Behind the tanks and armored vehicles, the soldiers, suppressing nausea and discomfort, marched in tight formation, stepping over the piles of corpses. Their rifles relentlessly fired at the bodies, regardless of whether they were moving or not, blowing their heads off and clearing away any possible survivors. If any of them were wounded, they would point their guns at their own heads and commit suicide amidst the tearful gazes of their comrades. Even if they didn't want to commit suicide, if they were discovered to be wounded, their comrades would grit their teeth and shoot them dead, blowing their heads off. They didn't want to see themselves become zombies, nor did they want to see their training comrades become zombies, and they certainly didn't want those around them to become a threat to their safety.
Behind the soldiers examining the corpses, trucks and jeeps loaded with supplies and exorcists followed closely, leaving deep tire tracks in the piles of zombie bodies. In the backs of some of the trucks, soldiers continued to fire mortar shells.
"Keep up close, those who fall behind, prepare to cover the rear!"
"Don't stop no matter how tired you are. No one will turn back to save those who fall behind, because that's just suicide. Once you're in the horde of corpse monsters, no one can save you."
Behind the truck convoy, more soldiers followed closely. In the ranks, the sergeants loudly urged the soldiers to keep up, and if anyone lagged behind, they would use their fists to push them along, trying their best not to leave any comrades behind.
...
Time ticked by, and General Hans's army of over 800,000 men, like a moving red brush, carved a straight red path towards Mount Fuji through the seemingly endless horde of zombies. They finally broke through to the very heart of the zombie wave.
"Out of bullets, ammo!"
"Tank 117 is out of ammunition."
"A new barrel... my machine gun barrel is red-hot."
As time went on, the advance of the multinational coalition forces slowed down more and more. The trucks had to drive closer and closer, almost touching the soldiers who were checking the bodies. Many of the soldiers checking the bodies and the jeeps also took on the role of transporting supplies, constantly loading weapons and ammunition from the trucks onto the armored vehicles and tanks that were still advancing ahead, replenishing their ammunition as much as possible for their work of clearing the way.
Even so, their progress has been slowing down.

From the left and right flanks and rear of the multinational coalition army, countless zombies surging in from the front like waves. The deeper the army advanced, the more zombies surged in.
As the soldiers retreated in the direction of the advance, they desperately fought off the zombies that were closing in from the sides and rear, using the surrounding terrain as cover.
"Those out of bullets, take out the broadswords on your backs and prepare for close combat. Remember, you are all warriors, heroes. The last grenade you carry will be your burial item. If you are no longer able to fight, please bravely pull the pin. The world will remember you forever."
As the sergeants fired their guns, they shouted repeatedly to encourage the soldiers and prepare for the final battle.
There were simply too many of these zombie monsters. Their firing was relentless, and there was no way to conserve ammunition. Jeeps and soldiers were transporting ammunition to supply the entire army, but against the relentless zombie onslaught, this ammunition was merely a drop in the ocean. By now, many of them were running out of ammunition, and their artillery shells were long gone. In desperate attempts to slow down the zombie monsters, they had repeatedly ordered soldiers without ammunition to charge forward en masse, forming human walls to block their advance.
Even the advance formation of the 800,000-strong army was shrinking again and again, minimizing the defensive area and concentrating more superior firepower as it advanced.

Along the coast, the corpses of the eliminated zombies have completely covered the original beach walls, with some piles even reaching the height of the base's perimeter wall (five meters).
The zombies have advanced to within ten meters of the base, and in some weakly defended areas they are even less than five meters away.
Inside the base, soldiers fired like madmen, recklessly unleashing every ounce of ammunition at the horde of zombies less than ten meters from the base. Unfortunately, there were too many zombies, and the base's defensive line was too long. Even with their desperate efforts, the dense swarms of zombies continued to steadily approach the base.
"There are just too many of them! Major General!" Watching the countless zombies break through, watching the soldiers being overwhelmed by them, and hearing the explosions of grenades echoing through the zombie horde, the communications soldier who had been standing by the Major General, on standby, said desperately. He knew very well that the grenades exploding in the zombie horde were the soldiers' defiant cries, their final roars.
"Our deaths are inevitable, but they are worthwhile. We will be the pioneers who stop the darkness from descending." The major general said firmly with his eyes closed, "Immediately tell the second base that the first base has fallen, the corpse monsters have stormed in, all the soldiers of the first base have died for their country, detonate the remaining ammunition in the entire base!"
"Yes." Upon hearing this, the communications soldier said dejectedly.
"Hopefully, their base behind them can hold them off." The major general sighed as he watched the communications soldier begin sending a message, a grenade clutched in his hand, his gaze fixed firmly on the charging zombies.
