Chapter 623 The Birth of Humanity, Named Human

"Alright!" Nuwa nodded upon hearing the black-clad youth's words. She reached out and accepted the Nine Heavens Breath Soil from him.

Nuwa had become quite adept at shaping clay after numerous failures. In no time, she had sculpted a clay figure. Nuwa squeezed a drop of her essence from her fingertip and incorporated it into the clay figure, then gently blew a breath of immortal air into it.

As Nuwa breathed her celestial breath over the clay figure, the figure immediately underwent a change it had never shown before. Although the clay figure's skin was still yellowish-brown, it no longer had that heavy earthy feel and had taken on a fleshy, living form.

Seeing this change, Nuwa observed carefully. After observing for a while, seeing that the clay figure she had sculpted did not turn into a pile of dirt again, Nuwa's eyes revealed joy, and she sculpted another clay figure in her hand. However, the clay figure looked exactly the same as the previous one.

“If they are exactly the same, it will be very difficult to tell them apart in the future.” Seeing this, the young man in black robes reminded him with a smile: “Moreover, you should give them genders so that they can reproduce on their own in the future.”

"Senior is right." Nuwa nodded and smiled upon hearing this. "However, I feel that this amount of Nine Heavens Breath Soil is still too little. There aren't many clay figures that can be made. Could we mix the Nine Heavens Breath Soil with ordinary soil to make clay figures together?"

'The blood and soil left over from the war between the Lich King and the Demon King—no wonder the human race's emotions and desires are so intense!' Upon hearing this, the black-robed youth couldn't help but think to himself. However, he didn't stop him, but instead said, "Of course, the Nine Heavens Breath Soil only serves to give them life, acting like a catalyst. The difference is that the amount of Breath Soil determines the strength of their vitality and physical body. Of course, if there's too little, their vitality will be minimal, and they will die soon."

Upon hearing this, Nuwa smiled and nodded. She took out some rare earth from her hand again, and then took out more soil from the land of Buzhou Mountain, mixing it with the Nine Heavens Breath Soil. After thinking for a moment, Nuwa took out even more soil from the ground of Buzhou Mountain and mixed it in.

'It seems that weakening the soon-to-be-born human race is not only the will of Heaven.' The black-robed youth thought to himself upon seeing this, but he still said nothing, as if the strength or weakness of the human race was none of his concern.

After Nuwa mixed the Heavenly Breath Soil and the Blood Soil of Buzhou Mountain, she took some out and began to knead it. In no time, she sculpted a man and a woman.

Sure enough, despite being mixed with a large amount of Buzhou Mountain blood and soil, the clay men and women they had just sculpted came to life. Although they were far less powerful and vigorous than the two previous asexual clay figures, they still possessed considerable talent and vitality.

Seeing this, Nuwa was overjoyed and quickened her pace. Before long, she had already created hundreds of pairs of men and women. However, this number was still too small. In this primordial world, hundreds of weak new races were not even enough for some monsters who had not yet become immortals to eat in one meal.

Perhaps Nuwa found it too troublesome to mold them one by one, so she simply took out a branch with lush leaves, stirred it in the mixed soil, and then flung the soil stuck to the branch onto the ground.

The amount of soil thrown out varied, and the shapes they took after landing were all different. Nuwa gently blew a breath of immortal air onto the soil that had fallen to the ground, forced out a few drops of her essence blood from her hand, mixed it with some water, and sprinkled it onto the soil. Finally, she cast a spell.

As the immortal energy swept over and diluted essence blood dripped in, the magic was cast, and the soil began to mold itself. In no time, it transformed into men and women, some fat, some thin, some tall, some short, some old, some young, some healthy, and some disabled, numbering in the tens of thousands.

Seeing that the soil had transformed into living beings, Nuwa was overjoyed. She again wrapped branches with soil and flung them to the ground, once, twice, three times. By the time the soil mixed with the Nine Heavens Breath Soil was used up, the number of humans on the ground had reached a million. However, although their numbers were large, compared to the demon race, the witch race, and the countless other living beings in the primordial world, they were far too small.

These newly created humans were bewildered and expressionless. Emotionally, they were even less developed than ordinary apes in the mountains. Soon after their birth, they fought, beat, and killed each other, all for trivial things like pebbles. Even while slaughtering their own kind, their faces remained expressionless. They were almost devoid of intelligence. Among them, the hundreds of pairs of men and women created by Nuwa herself were the most prominent; their desires were also the strongest, given their immense power. The only ones who remained inactive were the two asexual humans Nuwa initially created.

Seeing the newborn spirits on the ground displaying desires but lacking high intelligence, Nuwa waved her hand to stop them. Unfortunately, these newly born humans did not have high intelligence and did not know who Nuwa was, and continued to fight among themselves.

"Senior, what should we do now?" Nuwa turned to the black-robed youth behind her and asked, watching the newly appeared creatures still fighting each other.

"..." Upon hearing this, the black-robed youth remained silent for a while before speaking, "Perhaps it's because the soil of Buzhou Mountain is too heavy with blood and energy! They have no intelligence, but they possess powerful desires."

"Senior, is there no other way?" Nuwa asked anxiously upon hearing this. Yes, she was anxious, because as the human race grew, she sensed that the key to her sainthood lay in this newborn race. But now, only the final step remained, and Nuwa even felt a pang of regret for mixing the soil from Buzhou Mountain into the Nine Heavens' Breath Soil to create humans. If she created a race that only knew killing and desire, she would not be able to achieve sainthood.
