Many soldiers prayed incessantly, or made the sign of the cross on their chests, praying for a successful landing. They breathed heavily, trying to relieve the tension in their hearts. This was their first time fighting monsters.
"Don't let them into the sea!" Shouts echoed from the landing craft. On the distant shore, the remaining zombies could already be seen rushing towards the land. Letting these zombies swim into the sea would undoubtedly increase the difficulty of eliminating them and make the situation much more dangerous.
"Boom boom boom..." At the forefront of each landing craft, the sound of M20 (heavy machine gun) rang out, and metallic bullets, trailing red light, flew rapidly towards the shore. Casings fell onto the landing craft like flowing water.

On the beach, .5 caliber bullets (Barrett caliber bullets) kept whizzing past the zombies, embedding themselves in the sand and rocks behind them. Once the poorly defended zombies were unlucky enough to be hit by these bullets, the enormous force would create bowl-sized skulls on their bodies, easily severing their necks and exploding their heads.
"Whoosh..." Amidst the barrage of machine gun fire, watching their comrades fall one after another before their eyes, the zombies howled and desperately charged towards the sea. Under the threat of the advanced zombies, they had no other choice. Unarmed, their only path was to plunge into the ocean ahead.
(Unlike those in Resident Evil, this is a mutant created by the protagonist himself, more like a mutant from Mr. Zombie. It's more intelligent, but it's also afraid.)
