"Cut the meat!" After skinning the bear, Wang Han took a sharp stone and began cutting the dead bear's flesh, demonstrating as he went. He helped the other savages cut the meat into smaller pieces and handed them to them. He even ate a piece raw, explaining that it was easier to eat this way and could compensate for not having sharp teeth to tear the meat. Then he gestured for the savages to try it themselves.
"Cut the meat." Understanding Wang Han's meaning, the savages began to imitate him, cutting the meat from the dead grizzly bear. However, not a single savage ate it.
After skinning and cutting the meat, Wang Han noticed all the savages staring at him, then at the meat in their hands, swallowing hard. However, none of them began to eat. Wang Han knew this wasn't because they didn't eat raw meat, but because they were waiting for him to eat first.
Seeing this, Wang Han smiled, gathered a piece of dry wood, a branch, some dry leaves and withered grass, and began to start a fire by friction. The savages, seeing this, also gathered wood and branches, just like Wang Han. However, they had both wet and dry materials, and they were different sizes; clearly, they didn't know how to choose. Wang Han stopped them; they didn't yet know how to control the fire.
After being stopped by Wang Han, the savages could only watch Wang Han's actions with curiosity, their eyes lingering on the meat in their hands.
Soon, Wang Han started a fire. The savages, seeing this, were not afraid, but rather filled with worship. Seeing this, Wang Han smiled, realizing that worshipping gods was not something inherent in their nature. After gesturing for them to get up, Wang Han gathered some dry firewood to add to the fire, making it burn even bigger. Then, he found some thicker branches, sharpened them with sharp stones, skewered the bear meat, and began to roast it.
Seeing this, the savages, though somewhat afraid of fire, followed Wang Han's instructions and began roasting meat. Wang Han secretly added some seasonings to the meat. To get the savages used to eating cooked food, they had to make them like it.
