Chapter 111 Extra 2: Gap

Chapter 111 Extra 2: Gap

Ye Kai didn't expect Chen Youhan to say that.

The corners of my mouth couldn't help but curl up a little.

The smile in his eyes was hard to describe, and it seemed that he was not just smiling because of this sentence - in Chen Youhan's eyes, he was clearly thinking of something farther away, or was smiling because he associated this sentence with some other person.

Simply put, those beautiful stars in his eyes were not lit up because of him.

Chen Youhan retracted his gaze. The pain in his injured hand became worse. He cursed coldly: "What are you laughing at?"

I went to the hospital and had an X-ray. The doctor on duty looked familiar with the situation and said, "The bone fracture is quite serious. Let's put it in a cast."

Chen Youhan accepted it calmly. When the injury was corrected, his brows knitted tightly and a layer of sweat appeared on his arm. After the treatment, he asked without emotion: "Can it be recovered in two months?"

My voice became a little hoarse because of enduring the pain.

The doctor glanced at him and asked, "What are you going to do?"

"Play basketball."

"Oh," the doctor groaned, "it depends on the situation. If you take good care of it, it won't be a problem. Are you a professional basketball player?" He looked Chen Youhan up and down as he spoke. He was very tall, with solid and smooth muscles, and he didn't look like a good student.

"It's just for fun." Chen Youhan glanced at Ye Kai and answered casually.

After the plaster was applied, he had to stay in the ward for observation overnight. Ye Kai accompanied him and listened to Chen Youhan calling home to report. The eldest young master's temper had not changed over the years, and one could tell from his words that he was a difficult person to serve.

The lights in the ward were dim, and a small TV was hung high up, broadcasting the local news. Several old men in wheelchairs were watching the news intently.

"Will it affect my shooting?" he asked with concern after hanging up the phone.

"Won't."

For some reason, Ye Kai felt that he was a little cold.

As expected, Chen Youhan began to chase people away: "The family nurse will come over, you have nothing to do now."

"I'll accompany you."

Chen Youhan was slightly startled and lowered his eyes: "No need."

Ye Kai observed him with interest: "Are you embarrassed?"

Chen Youhan turned his face away: "Nonsense."

Ye Kai groaned, as if smiling: "Is it because I kissed you last time?"

Chen Youhan frowned fiercely and cursed in a low voice: "Can you be more reserved?!"

The word "reserved" sounded strange when it came out of his mouth. Ye Kai couldn't help but laugh: "I forgot about it."

I don't know where these four words touched the minefield, and I saw Chen Youhan's face darken under the light. Ye Kai was originally standing, but he sat on the edge of the bed, very close to Chen Youhan. Because of his posture, his body cleverly blocked all sight.

Chen Youhan had a small piece of gauze on his forehead, and medicated wine was applied to the bruises on the corners of his mouth. He looked miserable, but it was very touching. Ye Kai moved closer to him, and his breath blew on Chen Youhan's face and ears when he spoke, "It seems that you still remember."

Out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of Chen Youhan’s young and sexy Adam’s apple rolling.

With his hands on the headboard, Ye Kai lowered his head and looked at him.

The ward was very quiet, with only the news anchor's voice and an occasional cough or two to be heard.

He lowered his head closer and sucked Chen Youhan's soft lips. The other party's body tensed instantly, as if he was about to hit someone. Ye Kai held down Chen Youhan's arm with his free hand, sucked his lips, and then stepped back.

"I remember." His tone was serious and affectionate, but also playful.

Chen Youhan clenched his fists. He didn't know how much self-control it took for him to suppress the urge to fight in the hospital.

Ye Kai muttered to himself, "So immature." He spoke very softly, and Chen Youhan's body stiffened. He seemed to have heard it clearly, but also seemed not to have heard it clearly.

·

When Chen Youhan came home from work, he saw Ye Kai sleeping in a blanket in the glass greenhouse. There was a teacup on the coffee table, and he touched the wall of the cup. It was cold, with only the residual warmth from the sun.

Ye Kai was curled up in a lounge chair, with an open book upside down in his arms and his bare feet exposed.

Chen Youhan took the book from his arms lightly and placed her hand on his beautiful arch of foot. Ye Kai's brows moved, from slightly frowning to relaxing, and then he opened his eyes: "You're back."

The sun hasn't set yet.

Chen Youhan leaned over and picked him up horizontally. He stared at Ye Kai for two seconds before saying, "I don't know why, but I seem to miss you especially much today."

Ye Kai put his arms around his neck, and when he heard that, he put his face close to his neck and rubbed it: "I haven't recovered from the jet lag yet, and I fell asleep after reading for a while."

He had just returned from the United States two days ago and his sleep was disordered, otherwise he would not have had such chaotic dreams.

He landed barefoot and made another pot of tea. When he came back, Chen Youhan pulled him to sit on his lap and held him in his arms.

Chen Youhan looked at her longer this time: "Baby, why do I feel like I haven't seen you for a long time?"

Ye Kai thought he was saying that they were both busy with their papers and listings last semester and didn't have time to meet often, but a vague feeling quickly passed through his mind. It seemed that he could appreciate the deep meaning of Chen Youhan's words. Just like when he saw him at sunset, he also had a trance feeling as if he was in another world.

"I dreamed of you again." He kissed the corner of Chen Youhan's mouth and couldn't help laughing, "And I kissed you again."

Chen Youhan laughed along: "What's the content this time?"

Ye Kai didn't remember much. It was very vague after he woke up. Moreover, an entire afternoon had passed. He tried hard to recall: "You fought to protect me and got injured. I was in the hospital with you."

Chen Youhan raised an eyebrow: "Is it me in high school again?"

Ye Kai nodded, "How do you know?"

Chen Youhan put his hand on his temples and laughed: "I actually went to the hospital in high school because I saw injustice."

Ye Kai was startled: "Really?"

"Well, it seems to be the night market alley behind Kangning Road. There used to be a lot of nightclubs and dance halls there, and the security was not good."

Ye Kai sat up straight: "Who did you save?"

Chen Youhan raised his eyes to look at him, "I don't remember," and laughed, "How could I remember? After saving you, you ran away without even saying thank you."

Ye Kai's tense nerves slowly relaxed. He smiled self-deprecatingly, thinking that he was possessed. He leaned against Chen Youhan's shoulder and criticized the stranger who didn't say thank you: "How rude! He just ran away."

"Well," Chen Youhan touched his soft cheek with her fingertips, "Maybe I don't look like a good person."

Ye Kai couldn't help but smile, "No, you look so handsome."

Chen Youhan thought about it and felt a little uneasy.

"Hey, make sure you understand. Your husband is here." Chen Youhan held his hand and kissed his delicate finger bones.

"I know, I know." His eyes seemed to be smiling, and as they breathed each other, he untied Chen Youhan's tie with one hand: "The eighteen-year-old you is not you?"

The dark green tie with dark patterns was torn off, and Chen Youhan held down his reckless hands: "It's different. What if you get addicted to the dream and go and like another boy?"

Ye Kai raised his hand to pinch his chin, and whispered before kissing him: "You don't know the taste of what you eat? You can't even kiss..."

·

The sky darkened in an instant, and the lights gradually lit up. The Aston Martin sped through the night, bypassing the bay and driving into the seaside villa.

Chen Fei was walking with Lie Lie on the incredibly wide green lawn. When he saw the car lights, he smiled before he said a word.

"Why are you here so late at night?"

He loosened the leash, let out a bark, and pounced on Ye Kai who had just got off the car with his paws.

Chen Youhan slammed the car door with a cigarette between his legs: "I came back to see you, why are you talking so much nonsense."

Chen Fei didn't listen to his sweet talk and snorted with a smile: "Save it!"

The father and son can't just have a good chat. It's so annoying to hear them talking so much. Ye Kai walked towards Chen Fei holding Lie Lie and said, "Uncle Chen."

Neither he nor Chen Youhan changed their way of addressing the others and they still called each other's elders uncle, aunt, and neither family had any objections. Instead, they both felt very comfortable.

Chen Fei patted Ye Kai's shoulder and said, "How is it? Are you tired of studying for a master's degree in the United States? Yahan was busy with the IPO in the first half of the year. Did he have no time to accompany you?"

The entertainment group was listed on the Hong Kong stock market, and Chen Youhan was so busy that he could not handle everything. Sometimes he would fall asleep while chatting on the video, and would not wake up until his phone fell to the ground.

As soon as Chen Youhan got home, he showed all the bad habits of a young master. He rolled his eyes and strode into the house, saying sarcastically, "Be a human being, and feel sorry for your own son, okay?"

Lie Lie ran faster than a human. When Ye Kai loosened his grip, it followed Chen Youhan up and down. When he entered the house, Chen Youhan had already gone upstairs. Ye Kai sat down with Chen Feiyi to drink tea and chat about his study abroad life in the United States. He was a novice, and even frying an egg could set off the alarm. Qu Jia resolutely arranged for a housekeeper to take care of his daily life.

"Aunt Wang's Chinese food is not authentic. She once made diced tangerine peel chicken into a sweet and sour flavor. It's far worse than Brother Youhan's."

After Ye Kai finished speaking, Fade Chen couldn't stop laughing while weighing his teacup, and said "good" several times, "You are more fortunate than me. I can't afford to ask him to cook for me."

The scene of Chen Youhan wrapping his wrist with a tie and pressing him against the washing machine flashed through Ye Kai's mind, and his face still felt hot. He thought that this was an equal exchange, and he would rather Chen Youhan go into the kitchen less often and cook less, so that he wouldn't be asked by the professor if he was feeling unwell every next day.

Half an hour later, the young master finally came downstairs, holding a few hardcover books in his hands.

Chen Fei had a vague guess, and when Chen Youhan threw the album on the coffee table, he was finally sure that they were all his old photo albums.

"It's inevitable to feel nostalgic when you get older." He looked like he understood.

Chen Youhan brushed off the cigarette ash, raised his deep eyes slightly, and scolded jokingly: "Can you please stop talking like I'm in my seventies or eighties?"

Before going to bed at night, he would hold the photo album tightly. Ye Kai held the album, Chen Youhan held him, holding hands and flipping to the next page, picking out interesting things to talk about. When it came to the high school album, most of them were about basketball. Various games and training, dribbling while raising his hands to organize the offense, holding the black wrist guard after scoring, and the jump shot. Chen Youhan had not played basketball since he became an adult, and if he hadn't flipped through the album, Ye Kai couldn't imagine what he looked like in a jersey.

"Where is this?" Ye Kai pointed at one of the photos. A huge gray stadium building, a dark red playground, and nearly 40 people smiling brightly in front of the camera. Chen Youhan was very cool, holding his coat in one hand and throwing it over his shoulder, with his head slightly tilted. He didn't smile hard, but he stood out so much that people could see him at a glance.

Chen Youhan thought for a moment and said, "It should be the city youth training."

The intensive dormitory system for half a month exhausted him, as every day he was either training or having competitions.

Suddenly he remembered something, "It seems to be after that injury healed."

I don’t know if it was because of what Chen Youhan mentioned, but Ye Kai fell asleep late at night, and when he dreamed, he really arrived at the city’s youth training site.

Under the clear sky, tall and strong high school students lined up and passed by him. After Chen Youhan stood in the line, he glanced at Ye Kai and then quickly turned back to look at him with a look of surprise.

But...it doesn't seem to be annoying.

I heard the team teacher's speech. The classmate in the front row, with his tennis racket on his shoulder, was whispering to his classmates that the people on the basketball team were tall.

Ye Kai turned the white wristband on his wrist, tilted his head, and smiled back at Chen Youhan.

When they got on the bus, the basketball team and the tennis club were on the same bus. They all knew each other and ignored the teacher's order to "take seats according to the queue" and just sat together with those who got along well with them.

There was no one around Chen Youhan, and he was talking to the school team members behind him.

Ye Kai passed by him and hesitated slightly.

The captain asked: "You brought AJ5?"

It was a very stupid question, but for some reason, Chen Youhan did not answer it immediately.

He was nervous, and his mood only calmed down when Ye Kai passed by his seat and walked to the back.

The captain heard him say "hmm" absentmindedly.

Chen Youhan turned his body back to the side and put on his headphones. The music hadn't started yet and someone sat down in the empty seat next to him. He suppressed his inexplicable irritation, took off one of his headphones and turned around, but his aggressive expression subsided in an instant.

With a smile in his eyes, Ye Kai whispered, "Brother Youhan, I can't find a seat."
