Chapter 1 Absolutely a Little Witch

It is September, the beginning of the school year, and a refreshing breeze blows in from the fields.

A boy and a girl were walking in an alley between houses. The wind in the alley was a little stronger than outside, lifting the girl's skirt.

The girl noticed this, her cheeks flushed slightly, she covered her skirt and quickly ran out of the alley.

A sharp horn sounded and a black car drove towards her. The girl stood there in a daze.

The light and shadow go back to one minute ago.

Everything returned to the eyes of the boy who had just arrived at the alley and remained in his memory.

"Wait a moment."

"What's wrong?"

"Let me tie my shoe."

Wei Lai stopped Qingting beside him, squatted down and started tying his shoelaces.

Qingting looked at Wei Lai curiously, watching him untie his already tied shoelaces, pulling the laces with his fingers, adjusting the tightness of the laces one by one.

[This alley is too dangerous. Let's wait until the car passes by before going with her.]

After hearing Wei Lai's inner thoughts, Qingting couldn't help but smile knowingly.

A gust of wind blew, lifting her skirt and revealing her legs as white as jade.

Qingting stood there without moving. She covered her skirt in a panic, and when she bent down, her eyes met Wei Lai's forehead.

Wei Lai was still unaware of the situation and was tying his shoelaces seriously. It seemed that the only thing in his eyes was his shoelaces, and he didn't care about the situation around him.

There was a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

Accompanied by the unceasing breeze at the alley entrance, the girl's delicate fingers lifted the hair that fell on her temples and lifted it behind her ears.

When the boy was about to raise his head, she gently leaned over and kissed his forehead with her cold lips.

Wei Lai tied his shoelaces and looked up slightly to see Qingting's delicate ankles under her skirt. The scene that caught his eye startled him and he quickly took half a step back before straightening up.

After standing up, Wei Lai looked at Qingting beside him in confusion.

【He wants to take advantage of the opportunity to tease me again. 】

Qingting was still bending over. When she raised her head, she found that the thread had been blown away by the wind. She narrowed her eyes slightly and the smile on her face became cunning again.

"You were tying your shoelaces on purpose just now. Were you trying to peek at my feet?"

"Look if you want to. I don't mind."

It was early autumn and the weather was still a little hot. Qingting was wearing cool blue lace-up sandals, revealing her delicate jade-like toes. She lifted them to Wei Lai's feet and swayed them twice, immediately attracting his attention.

Suddenly, Wei Lai's cheeks began to turn red.

The smile on Qingting's face became more obvious, and her black hair, blown by the wind and floating in the air, seemed to be laughing at him.

Wei Lai didn't want to explain. With a puffed-up face, he turned around to look at the alley entrance again. After making sure it was safe, he turned around and walked out.

"I'm not going to talk to you anymore. I'm going to be late for school."

"There are still fifteen minutes left. It's not that easy to be late."

Qingting caught up with Wei Lai in a few steps, her eyes full of joy.

“If I can’t get to class ten minutes early, I’m late.”

Wei Lai looked at the road ahead and responded to the girl beside him.

[Really? Why does she always try to find opportunities to tease me?]

Because you're funny when you're shy.

Qingting, who was following Wei Lai, heard Wei Lai's complaints and smiled knowingly.

I saw the classroom door.

Wei Lai turned his head and glanced at the girl beside him.

After making sure that everything would be normal for the next minute, Wei Lai breathed a sigh of relief and walked into the classroom.

He came to sit down at his desk and put his schoolbag into the drawer.

Qingting, who had been following him, covered her skirt with her hands, sat down as well, and also put her schoolbag in the drawer.

But the teacher for the morning reading class had not arrived yet, so she took out a small comic book from her schoolbag and started reading.

The morning sun shines into the classroom through the window at the back.

Qingting used her little finger to hook up some of her messy hair and put it behind her ear, revealing her beautiful ears. Her long eyelashes looked particularly slender and beautiful against the backdrop of the sunlight falling on the ground behind her.

【It is so beautiful only when it is quiet. 】

Wei Lai muttered to himself, and after Qingting heard it, her expression softened, with a slight curve appearing at the corners of her mouth.

Wei Lai took out the fourth-grade Chinese textbook from his schoolbag. It said 'Fourth Grade, Volume 1' on it, which made him fall into memories.

Before I knew it, four years had passed.

He still remembered that he and Qingting met in the second semester of kindergarten.

It was a sunny day as winter turned to spring. The kindergarten teachers gathered the children in the handicraft classroom. Three or four children sat at a table with two small baskets. One contained various beads and ropes, and the other contained various colored papers, as well as unsharpened small scissors and glue.

Children can make handicrafts according to their own preferences and show their works to the teacher before the end of get out of class. Good works will be posted on the small blackboard in the classroom.

Wei Lai already knew at that time that he had the ability to predict the future within one minute, and he originally thought that other people were the same as him.

But before that year, his ability was discovered by his father Wei Zikang and mother Xu Xiang, who repeatedly warned him not to tell anyone else. From then on, he knew that he was special, and gradually became silent, not wanting to let anything slip, and stopped playing with others.

On that day, the teacher brought a cute little girl to the classroom door. Her sparkling eyes seemed to invite everyone to play with her.

The seat next to him was empty, but Wei Lai took a look at the girl and knew that the teacher would take her to sit at the table behind him later, so he no longer paid attention to the girl.
