the next day.
Her class is going to play against the second-year high school basketball team today. Qiong Yue got up early today and planned to call Wei Lai and the others over during the morning reading time to cheer them up.
But when she arrived at the office door, she unexpectedly found another person waiting for her outside the door.
"Xiaoting, what's the matter that brings you here so early?" Qiongyue walked up to Qingting and looked at her carefully.
Her eyes were shining, her skin still had the pinkness of a young girl, her hair and school uniform were normal, and there was no sign of panic anywhere.
Qingting was still hesitating about how to start, when Qiongyue suddenly asked, "You came so early, have you had breakfast?"
[He doesn't look sick, and he's not in a hurry. It's probably not Wei Lai who's in trouble. What's wrong with this kid today?]
Qiong Yue took out the key to open the office door, with a head full of questions.
"Teacher, I have something I want to ask you for help."
After Qingting followed Qiongyue into the office, she helped close the door and locked it.
This made Qiong Yue even more confused when she came to her desk.
"Just tell me what's going on." Qiong Yue found a chair for Qingting to sit on, and then she sat opposite her, wanting her to relax as much as possible.
Feeling a little nervous, Qingting took a deep breath, imagined Qiongyue as a friend, and spoke directly:
"First of all, I'm really sorry for keeping this from the teacher."
"What is it?"
Qiongyue was just wondering when Qingting handed her her cell phone.
After getting the phone, she naturally started watching the videos on it.
Until the end of the video, Qiong Yue remained silent, with a complicated look in her eyes, filled with confusion, dissatisfaction, and worry while thinking.
[Is there someone else who likes Wei Lai? Their relationship should be able to withstand the test.]
"If you're mixing up your feelings with schoolwork, or even trying to take advantage of it, Li Xiaoya is truly beyond measure. Is this how her family taught her?"
I was wondering why it was strange. It was supposed to be a matter for the External Relations Department, but instead of asking them to handle it, Xiaoting and Wei Lai came out and wanted to handle it themselves. There's really no need to help them with this kind of thing.
"Everything has been resolved. What's the point of Xiaoting giving me the video? Is she worried that Wei Lai has changed his mind, or has he already changed his mind?"
[But they can't tell the school about their relationship, and as a teacher, I can't help them directly.]
Qiongyue didn't say anything and her thoughts became more and more off-track, so Qingting had to interrupt her.
"Teacher, after watching the video, do you think what Li Xiaoya did was wrong?"
"Ah, yes... I mean, you're right, her behavior is indeed wrong." Qiong Yue came to her senses and nodded. "If the sponsor she found wasn't related to her, and she didn't cancel it, but misappropriated it, it could almost be said to have violated the criminal law."
"However, her current behavior may only be an internal matter of the student union and has not reached that level yet."
"Well, if this kind of thing gets out, it will only be bad for the student union, so Wei Lai and I took the initiative to make up for the sponsorship."
Qingting knew that this was the reason why Li Xiaoya dared to do this. Since Qiongyue mentioned it first, she continued to follow up on the conversation.
"I came to see the teacher this time because I want him to help us get Li Xiaoya transferred to another school. This is also for the sake of the student union's future atmosphere."
"Don't you have any selfish motives at all?" Qiong Yue did not agree immediately, but looked at Qing Ting cunningly.
[You're probably worried about her causing you trouble in the future, or maybe you're still thinking about Wei Lai.]
"I have some selfish motives," Qingting admitted frankly. "My starting point was personal, but my goal was absolutely and purely for the Student Union."
"Okay, teacher, I believe you." Qiong Yue smiled and did not pursue the details any further.
"That's a pretty solid argument, but given her behavior, the school would at most issue a notice of criticism, and if it's serious, send her home to reflect on her actions for a few days. If they really want her to transfer schools, that's not convincing enough."
Mianhai does have precedents of persuading students to drop out, but Li Xiaoya has been involved in all of them. This is the first time Qiongyue has dealt with such a matter, and it involves students from other classes, so she feels at a loss as to where to start.
"Teacher, if you look at the consequences of what she did to the school, since it didn't really affect the basketball game, that's correct."
"But considering the school's obligations and Li Xiaoya's current age and status, it's still necessary for her to transfer."
"The school has the obligation to teach and educate. They don't allow us to date because they're afraid that it will affect our studies."
"By the same token, Li Xiaoya's behavior affects not only her own studies but also others."
"Because of her actions, Wei Lai and I had to give up our vacation to help the school find sponsorship, which caused trouble for others. This was one of the consequences."
"She dragged others into this incident and led them astray. If she were to receive a light punishment, it would leave others with the impression that 'it wasn't a big deal.' This is the second impact."
"Perhaps some people can clearly protect their own conscience, but who can be sure that others will not do similar things because of this incident? This is the third impact."
"So regardless of her starting point or the consequences of her actions, I feel she should be taught a profound lesson, which will allow her to reflect on her own mistakes and also serve as a warning to her classmates."
[He's really a little grown-up, and he speaks quite well.]
Qiong Yue looked at Qing Ting's righteous words and her eyes showed admiration, but she also considered other issues.
