Chapter 170: Women are not allowed to stay in college

At night.

The moon is bright in the sky.

Lying on the bed, Wei Lai looked out the window, but he couldn't remember what his mother had said about the Mid-Autumn Festival that year.

Ability has been with him for as long as he can remember.

So is it possible that he had this ability before he could remember anything?

No matter how hard he thought about it, he didn't think that a three-year-old boy could find his parents before his parents found him after he got separated from them.

If it wasn't a lucky coincidence, maybe something happened that gave him this ability, so he could find his parents smoothly at the age of three.

Daydreaming alone is never a solution.

Wei Lai picked up the phone that was still charging beside the bed.

[Wei Lai]: Xiaoting, have you slept?

[Qingting]: Not yet. You miss me after just a short while?

【Wei Lai】: Just think of it as me missing you. [sweat]

[Wei Lai]: Do you remember what happened when you were around three years old?

[Qingting]: I don’t remember, what? [Confused]

[Wei Lai]: My mother said that we might have met when we were three years old.

[Qingting]: Really? Wait a minute, I'll go ask.

Qingting just came out of the bathroom and her hair was not dry yet.

After replying the message, she immediately ran towards An Baoer and their room.

The sound of slippers could be heard in the corridor of the house, and she shouted after the door was pushed open.

"Mom, I want to ask...are you free now?"

Although what happened in her parents' room was not surprising to Qingting, it made her feel embarrassed.

She consciously walked out and closed the door. She leaned against the door and waited for An Baoer's reply.

After a while, An Baoer tidied her clothes and came out with her hair a little messy.

After closing the door again, An Baoer looked at her daughter with some confusion.

"Xiaoting, it's so late, why aren't you sleeping? What's going on?"

"It's like this. When I was three years old, did I meet Wei Lai?"

Qingting looked at An Baoer expectantly.

"Probably not." An Bao'er was not very sure. After thinking about it carefully, she said, "Before you were three years old, I was the one who took care of you. You didn't have much contact with Wei Lai's family."

"If I have to say when it happened, it was probably when you were three years old and disappeared for a while at Yue Lao Temple."

"When you came back, you were holding half a mooncake in your hand, saying that a little boy gave it to you."

She had no recollection of it at all, and Qingting had no way of judging what An Baoer had said. Unwillingly, she continued to ask, "Is that all?"

"That's all. In the following years, your father and I went out of town for two years and then came back. You remember what happened when we met Wei Lai in kindergarten." An Baoer nodded.

During those two years, Qing Qishu had to go out for work, and An Baoer was worried about him. In addition, her daughter was still young, so she simply took her daughter with her, taking care of her during the day and taking care of her husband at night.

"Oh, I understand." Qingting nodded regretfully and walked back to her room.

"I'm fine now, you guys go ahead and do your work."

"This child." An Baoer stroked her face and watched her daughter return to her own room. A helpless smile appeared on her face.

It's true that girls can't be kept at home when they grow up. Why is her mind always thinking about that child?

The next morning.

At the foot of a small hill mixed with bamboo forests and trees, two figures carrying backpacks appeared.

"Wei Lai, are you sure you are here?"

"That should be right. Mom said there's a pool of water here that looks like a full moon, so someone built a Yue Lao Temple nearby. At first, people came back to pray for blessings."

"After the Yue Lao Temple was demolished, the number of people coming here gradually decreased."

While talking to Xiaoting, Wei Lai walked towards the mountain.

Although the mountain is not high, the trees are very dense and messy. There is no road, only a small path paved with stone slabs leading up the mountain.

In this day and age, it is rare to have such a mountain next to the town where they live.

It’s just that I’m used to seeing concrete buildings in small towns and urban areas, and being surrounded by natural scenery feels completely different.

The higher you go, the further away you seem from modern civilization.

"Hey, what's in your backpack?"

The mountain road was difficult to walk on. After Wei Lai climbed onto a relatively flat stone slab, he turned around and pulled Qingting

Qingting climbed up, looked up at the remaining mountain road in front of her, and her eyes fell on Wei Lai's backpack again.

They came here by taxi, and in the car they were talking about what happened when they were three years old, which they heard from Xu Xiang and An Baoer. They didn't have time to ask each other why they brought the backpacks.

"My bag contained a change of underwear and two towels. I heard that Yue Lao Temple was no longer there, so I thought of going to the bottom of the pond to take a look."

According to my mom, I was only three years old and it was impossible for me to jump into the puddle, but I always felt that there might be something under the puddle.

Continue walking up the mountain.

Wei Lai began to look for a place with slightly flatter terrain.

Just high school geography taught him a truth: places with pools of water on the mountain are generally mountain streams, and places where adults can bring children to play cannot be places with steep terrain.

After searching for a while, he finally found this place.

After passing the mountainside, the view suddenly opened up. There were still trees and bamboos all around, but the land was much flatter. I could see the faint light reflected from the sunlight falling on the water between the bamboo forest and trees in the distance.

If they continued walking, they would reach the land covered with bamboo leaves and fallen leaves in autumn. Wei Lai subconsciously took Qingting's hand and walked towards the direction where they saw the faint light.
