Chapter 32 Your Seat

The next day, just after dawn, there was a knock on the dormitory door.

This was accompanied by Wang Zi’s cries of injustice in prison.

"Open the door, open the door, or someone will die."

The dormitory door slowly opened, Wei Lai, with drooping eyelids, greeted Wang Zi unhappily:

"You're still alive."

He finally had a beautiful dream. In the dream, Qingting confessed her love to him and said that she would never tease him again.

As a result, before he could even open his mouth to agree, his good dream was ruined by Wang Zi.

"Live, must live." Wang Zi couldn't wait to push the door into the dormitory and started rummaging through the closet.

I finally breathed a sigh of relief after finding my meal card.

Because he didn't participate in military training, he forgot about the meal card.

Today, he was taken to school by his parents. The security guard reminded him that he could use his meal card to enter the school. Only then did he remember that there was such a thing as a meal card.

This time, his parents only gave him the money for the bus fare home. If he lost his meal card, he would probably go hungry for a week.

"You must be the prince, my name is Qiang Ming, hello."

Not only Wei Lai was woken up by Wang Zi, but also Qiang Ming and An Ruoyan. Both of them climbed out of their beds and looked at him.

"Hello, my last name is Wang, and I'm Mu Xinzi... Damn, brother, did you just come back from Africa? Don't tell me this was exposed during military training." Wang Zi was sitting on a chair in the dormitory with his precious meal card. When he saw Qiang Ming, he was startled.

"I helped my grandparents in the countryside harvest rice for three days and planted rice seedlings for two days. I wasn't sunburned from military training." Qiang Ming grinned, revealing two rows of big white teeth, looking more like a light-skinned black man.

Wei Lai went into the bathroom with his toiletries and said unhappily, "You're the most useless person in our dormitory. You deserted a simple military training."

"That wasn't desertion; that was emergency avoidance." Wang Zi tried to defend himself. "My family has a physique that gets tanned easily. Three days of sun exposure will definitely make me darker than Qiang Ming's five days."

"I see you're quite fair, but your tanned physique is scary." Wei Lai poked his head out of the bathroom and retorted to Wang Zi directly.

It would be strange if he were to ruin other people's dreams and be believed by others.

"What's wrong with Xiao Wei today? Didn't you have a good relationship with Wang Zi when you first came?" An Ruoyan got off her bed, a little puzzled by Wei Lai's condition today.

"It's okay, I was just joking with Wang Zi." Wei Lai gurgled the foam in his mouth and didn't intend to continue targeting Wang Zi. After all, he still had to live his life.

"I think he's just jealous. He's unhappy because he sees me resting at home while he's being tormented during military training." Wang Zi muttered, but didn't take it to heart. He sat on the stool in the dormitory, preparing to have breakfast with An Ruoyan and the others.

His parents knew that he didn't participate in the military training, and they scolded him a lot at home. He skipped breakfast and sent him to school. They were definitely cheating their son.

Seeing that Wei Lai had almost finished washing up, An Ruoyan also went to get the washbasin, towel and toothbrush.

"Then you are wrong. Wei Lai is not that kind of person."

"Yes, Wei Lai went to the supermarket yesterday to buy laundry detergent and soap, saying he wanted to do his own laundry. I think someone who is so self-aware should be like me and not afraid of hard work."

"Are you praising me or yourself?"

Wei Lai gave the bathroom to An Ruoyan, and when he came out, he said helplessly to Qiang Ming.

He himself didn't want to wash clothes at all. He never touched the clothes when he was at home. But Qingting asked him to do it, so he had to do it.

For some reason, he felt that if he didn't do this, Qingting would find a way to make him obedient.

"I'm just telling the truth." Qiang Ming was not embarrassed, he just smiled.

For a moment, Wang Zi felt out of place in this dormitory. "Are you all going to wash your own clothes?"

"No, I don't plan to do that. The time I spend doing laundry can free up time for more things."

"Lao An, you will be my brother from now on, let's be together."

After hearing An Ruoyan's answer in the bathroom, Wang Zi immediately felt like he had found his group. He went to the bathroom door and tried to get close to him.

"No problem. We have just enough clothes saved up for the two of us, so it's more cost-effective to wash them in the school laundry room." An Ruoyan gladly accepted Wang Zi's kindness.

Wei Lai was wearing shoes and saw the changes in the dormitory. He took one last look and saw Qiang Ming who also got up from the bed and put on his shoes.

The school has just started, and the relationships in the dormitory seem to be becoming clearer.

But it’s not a big problem. Everyone has different living habits, so there’s nothing strange about it.

After the hurricane dissipated, parents who sent their children to school suddenly blocked the school gate.

Wei Lai and the other three came out of the cafeteria after finishing their meal. The crowd had not yet completely dispersed. It felt like they had come here to register for the entrance exam. They were like senior classmates watching a play.

This feeling did not dissipate until the four of them arrived at the teaching building.

The seniors in the eighth and ninth grades are on the upper floors of the teaching building, and their first-grade classes are mainly on the first floor. Only four classes are on the second floor of the teaching building, adjacent to some of the eighth-grade classrooms.

When I arrived at the door of Grade 7 (8), some students had already arrived in the classroom early. The young faces in the classroom and the scenery outside that could only be seen from the first floor reminded me that they were in the lower grade.

Standing at the classroom door with An Ruoyan and the others, Wei Lai looked at Qingting sitting in the back row of the classroom and began to feel troubled.

Qingting sat by the window. There was no one on her right or in the front row. Her roommate seemed to have intentionally avoided sitting too close to her, which made her look a bit pitiful.
