Chapter 35: Sharing Weal and Woe

Could these two children be siblings? They seem to have a very good relationship.

After returning to the classroom, Qiong Linlin asked the two of them to sit in the seats by the window.

Boys are generally more naughty, so in order to keep an eye on them, she let the boys sit by the windows in the corridor, and the seats in the classroom with a view of the school playground were reserved for the relatively quiet girls.

After adjusting his seat like this, when the boy next to him looked at Wei Lai, he always felt like a traitor.

After Qiong Linlin elected Bao Wen as the class monitor, she suggested that a few boys come over to help her move everyone's textbooks, and everyone raised their hands immediately.

An Ruoyan saw Wei Lai raise his hand, so he also raised his hand, followed by Qiang Ming and Wang Zi, which made him feel relieved.

Fortunately, his roommates haven't abandoned him yet.

I saw three people raising their hands, and then a few other boys hesitated and raised their hands.

Qiong Linlin selected nine boys in total, and they left the classroom in a mighty procession and headed towards the school's book warehouse.

What’s amazing is that the school actually put the books under the podium in the playground. Wei Lai thought the bottom of the podium was solid, but unexpectedly it was hollow.

When they arrived there, there were already two classes moving books inside. Qiong Linlin asked them to wait for a while until the other classes had finished moving the books before going into the warehouse to get the books.

Nine people took books for nine courses respectively. Wei Lai wanted to take the math book. He couldn't take all the math books for more than 40 subjects at once, so he had to go back and forth twice.

Qiang Ming was carrying a Chinese textbook, which was heavier than the math book in Wei Lai's hand, but he looked much lighter.

I can only say that he is worthy of being a man who can help his grandparents with farm work.

"Wei Lai, do you like your deskmate?"

"Why do you ask?"

On the second trip to move the books, Wei Lai was startled by Qiang Ming's words. Fortunately, the books in his hands had been placed in the classroom, otherwise he might have stumbled and fallen to the ground with the books.

"You two are the only two in the class who sit at the same table. And you sent her to the infirmary before. Anyone would think so." Qiang Ming scratched the back of his neck. He was too embarrassed to ask this question, but he was really curious.

"She is my neighbor. We were desk mates in elementary school, so we have a good relationship. There's nothing strange about it." Wei Lai tried to explain.

"That's true. I also had a female deskmate in elementary school. I wonder which junior high school she attends now."

As Qiang Ming spoke, he looked up at the sky, with a hint of nostalgia in his eyes.

The two continued walking on the road, and Wei Lai was a little curious.

"Since you two are desk mates, don't you know which junior high school she goes to?"

"I don't know. Maybe she doesn't want to pay me back the five dollars she owes me."

“…”

This is the relationship between a creditor and a debtor.
