It's a bit like the combination of a walking stick and a bell in the hands of wandering Taoist priests in the past.
The wind is very strange today. It is there when it shouldn’t be there, and it is never there when it should be there.
Walking all the way home from school at noon, both of them were sweating a lot, especially where they were sticking together. Wei Lai felt like he was glued to Qingting.
When we parted at the doorstep, I felt inexplicably reluctant to leave.
"I'm home, you should go home too."
"Well, see you this afternoon."
Qingting nodded, turned and walked towards her home, but after taking a few steps, she touched her neck. After getting used to it, she suddenly felt like something was missing without Wei Lai's arm.
Wei Lai turned around and was about to go home when he suddenly heard her shouting behind him:
"I promise to be your crutch, and it will be effective all day long."
Looking back, Qingting was standing there, shielding her hair from the wind, looking at him expectantly.
"Um... okay, got it." Wei Lai answered at a loss, watching Qingting leave and subconsciously touching his arm.
After no longer sticking to Qingting, my arms felt cooler, but when I thought of the touch along the way, my heart felt itchy again.
It feels like I've been cast under some kind of spell.
Shaking his head, Wei Lai put aside the strange thoughts in his mind and pushed open the door of his home.
"Mom, I'm back."
"Well, go sit on the sofa for a while, lunch will be ready soon."
Xu Xiang had just brought out a dish from the kitchen when she inadvertently saw the wound on her son's knee out of the corner of her eye.
He walked straight towards him, squatted down, and asked with concern:
"What's with that knee injury? You shouldn't be getting hurt."
Since her son could predict the future within one minute, Xu Xiang couldn't understand why he was injured, and why he was injured at school.
"Do I have to tell you that?" Wei Lai didn't know how to start. Although being injured was not something to be embarrassed about, the reason for the injury made him feel ashamed.
"It's important to say this."
"Well, here's what happened."
Wei Lai briefly talked about what happened in today's physical education class.
However, he still said that the reason for his injury was that he accidentally fell, and did not mention that he was watching Qingting running.
After hearing what he said, Xu Xiang crossed his arms and supported his chin, lost in thought.
"Go rest on the sofa, I'll call your dad."
After thinking for a long time, Xu Xiang decided to discuss it with Wei Zikang.
