I didn't feel hot when I had breakfast.
But when Wei Lai and An Ruoyan came out of the cafeteria and walked onto the playground, a gust of hot wind blew in their faces.
The notice stated that military training would begin at 8 a.m.
It's just 7:30 now.
The boys and girls who arrived earlier had already gathered under the rostrum to avoid the sun.
As the sun slowly rose, the shadow of the rostrum gradually shortened, and the area under the rostrum became a little crowded.
Wei Lai didn't want to join in the fun. He looked around, found a shady spot, and walked over with An Ruoyan.
"It seems that there are more boys than we thought. Maybe we can still be saved." An Ruoyan still had a lucky mentality.
Wei Lai didn't want to attack him because he didn't see Qingting and the others.
I guess he saw that the instructor hadn't arrived yet, so he went somewhere else.
The other girls who haven't arrived yet should have similar ideas.
As for boys, they may be the same as them, just too lazy to move.
In half an hour, the wind on the playground gradually became stronger.
A group of people in armed police uniforms also walked in from the entrance of the playground.
One of the female instructors was holding a stack of papers in her hand. If nothing unexpected happened, it should be the list of students in each class.
When I arrived next to the rostrum, I saw that there were only a group of men and women below the rostrum, and I wasn't too surprised.
The female instructor began to distribute the paper to the instructors around her.
Seeing the instructors leading the men and women away one after another, Wei Lai and An Ruoyan followed.
"Everyone from Class 13, follow me!"
After the last instructor led away three women and one man, the female instructor rubbed her temples.
In recent years, the number of students volunteering to participate in junior high school military training has become increasingly smaller.
"It seems that Class 8 has been completely wiped out." The female instructor shook the list in her hand, and a bitter smile flashed in her eyes.
I really drew a good number.
"Instructor, we are from Class 8." Wei Lai and An Ruoyan stood behind the female instructor, feeling a little embarrassed.
Some of those who didn't come included people from their dormitory, so it just didn't feel like a face-saving thing.
"Just the two of you?" The female instructor looked up at the students who were scattered around the playground to start military training, as if she was wondering who to hand them over to.
Almost every class was incomplete. The best class had only enough students to form two teams, and the rest mostly had only one column, a bit like children playing house.
"There are four more people." An Ruoyan spoke hurriedly, afraid that the instructor would think there were only two people in their class.
His eagerness was transmitted to Wei Lai, who then said:
"They'll probably be here around time."
Yes, people from other classes came, but there were only two people from their class. They were afraid that they would become the laughing stock of other classes in the future.
"Six people? Okay, come with me." The female instructor pondered for a moment, waved her hand and took Wei Lai and An Ruoyan towards a tree shadow in the middle of the playground.
"There are still five minutes left. Stand here for a while so your classmates can see you."
After reaching the shade of the trees, the female instructor asked two people to stand in the shade of the trees, while she stood in the shadow of the wall. She took out the ballpoint pen from her pocket and counted the number of people on the list.
Standing under the shade of the tree, away from the sun, the breeze around me was quite comfortable.
But An Ruoyan looked towards the entrance of the playground from time to time, looking very reserved.
"Wei Lai, do you think those girls will not come?"
"Others may not know, but Qingting probably doesn't."
As soon as he finished speaking, four figures appeared at the entrance of the playground. Seeing Wei Lai and the others already standing on the playground, with a female instructor in uniform next to them, they immediately ran over here.
As they ran over, the four girls were holding water in their hands, and Qingting even held two bottles.
Qingting ran to Wei Lai with a bottle of mineral water. Wei Lai looked at the bottle in her hand and hesitated whether to reach out.
[This bottle of water should be bought for me, but everyone is standing by and watching. Should I take it?]
Hearing his thoughts, Qingting suddenly smiled. Just when Wei Lai couldn't help but raise his hand, she turned around and ran to the female instructor with two bottles of water.
"Sister, this bottle of water is for you."
"Um?"
Are students these days so precocious? They even know how to get along well with their instructors.
The female instructor looked up at Qingting, took the mineral water bottle from her hand and put it at her feet.
"You're all students from Class 8, right? Are you all here?"
"yes."
"Put all the water over here, line up, and get ready for roll call."
The female instructor walked into the sun and pointed to the place where she had just placed the mineral water.
Qingting did not hesitate and was the first to put down the mineral water in her hand. After thinking for a while, she tore off half of the mineral water packaging and stuck it on the bottle of mineral water given to the instructor.
The other three girls who brought water also put down the water.
"The girls should line up from tallest to shortest starting from the left, and the boys should occupy the girls' right."
"Now let's start the roll call, An Ruoyan."
"exist!"
"That's enough shouting, Bao Wen."
"arrive!"
"Ba Xiaowei."
"arrive."
"Show some courage! Even if you're a girl, don't lose to a boy!"
"Here!" Ba Xiaowei shouted loudly, and her originally fair and tender face immediately turned red.
A gust of wind blew, bringing up a few fallen leaves on the playground, and the military training for six junior high school students officially began.
Wei Lai had never heard of junior high school military training before. After an hour of training, he found that there was a reason for it.
The female instructor only taught them how to stand, count in line, and how to march and walk in step. These were all learned in elementary school and were not difficult, but the repetitive practice was a bit boring.
