Chapter 71 Private Dining Room

Chapter 71 Private Dining Room

It wasn't until Tracy left that the blonde girl lowered her head and turned her eyes back.

Coming back to her senses, Davina discovered that her two new friends were looking at her meaningfully.

"Don't let your imagination run wild," she realized belatedly, "Mr. Tracy is very outstanding, and many people admire him, so..."

"Tsk tsk, I didn't say anything," Lily said teasingly, tapping her cheek with a smile, "I just saw someone blush."

Davina was startled, then touched her cheek, which was indeed burning. Like a mimosa whose thoughts had been exposed, her eyes evaded.

"Okay," Tong Wanwan said with a smile, "Did you forget to order?"

As soon as the words fell, Lily and Davina subconsciously covered their stomachs and felt hungry.

"Go on, go on!" Davina smacked her lips, trying to suppress her urge to eat. As soon as she entered the restaurant, she was overwhelmed by the aroma. If they hadn't been "interrupted" by Tracy's sudden appearance, they would have already placed their order and were waiting for the food to be served.

This restaurant has a wide variety of dishes, and every day's innovative dishes are different. Tong Wanwan only ordered one dish that she was interested in, and left the rest to them.

The kitchen staff was quick; after just over ten minutes, the first dish arrived, and the others followed suit. Pan-fried scallops with foie gras, poached pork, steak, pan-fried cod, matcha light cheesecake, and sweet rice porridge... the three of them happily ordered and enjoyed their meals.

"How is it?" Davina finished the last remaining cake and breathed a sigh of satisfaction. "Is it tasty?"

"Delicious!" Tong Wanwan and Lili praised.

And they all thought at the same time: I can really gain a lot by following Davina.

The girl with golden curly hair held her chin up and smiled sweetly. It was almost time, so she pulled up the order page on her laptop. Just as she was about to pay, she suddenly realized that the bill for their table had already shown "Paid."

"?!" Davina was stunned for a second, then raised her eyelashes and looked at the black-haired girl sitting opposite her. She pursed her lips and said half-complainingly and half-coquettishly, "Wanwan, why did you pay? Didn't we agree that I would treat you?"

Tong Wanwan also paused, not understanding why: "I don't have any."

The three of them looked at each other with complicated expressions.

It wasn't Tong Wanwan, it wasn't her, and Lili hadn't even touched the laptop from beginning to end. So... who could it be?

Just as they were feeling bewildered and wanted to ask the front desk, the waiter who had been standing not far away and "waiting" for a long time quietly came over, bent down, bowed politely to them, then stood up and whispered, "Ladies, have you finished your meal?"

"Yes." Davina glanced at him, feeling that this waiter knew something. "Sir, do you know who paid the bill for us?"

"It's Mr. Tracy." He said without hesitation, "Mr. Tracy would like to invite the three ladies upstairs to have a few words. Is that okay?"

Davina: “!”

This time, the blonde girl didn't hold back her excitement any longer. She stood up abruptly and, facing the smiling eyes of Tong Wanwan and Lili, responded without hesitation, "Of course!"

After saying that, Davina finally reacted and turned her expectant gaze towards the other two people who were also invited.

Tong Wanwan smiled, her eyes curved, and nodded in agreement: "I'm not in a hurry to go back."

The pet shop's housekeeping machines were always dedicated. Once programmed, they would absolutely follow the instructions, never worrying about the pets going hungry. And... if they were orcs, they wouldn't starve themselves, would they?

To be honest, Tong Wanwan was also very curious about why Mr. Tracy wanted to meet them.

"My house is very close too," Lily thought for a moment and added, "There's no access control."

The implication is - you can stay with Mr. Tracy as long as you want.

"Okay, please follow me." The waiter was really polite. He bowed to them again before taking them upstairs.

Compared to the first floor, the second floor was filled with private rooms. Although only separated by one floor, the air around them had become quiet. The waiter leading the way walked to a private room with a closed door. The scanner on the wall flashed for a moment, and the door opened automatically.

"Ladies, please come in," the waiter stopped at the door, "Mr. Tracy is inside."

Judging from his appearance, it seemed as if he would stay at the door and wait for them to come out.

"Thank you!" Davina didn't hesitate, holding Tong Wanwan's hand as they walked inside. If she had come to see Mr. Tracy alone, she wouldn't have had the courage. Fortunately... her two friends were there.

After entering, before they could look for her, Tracy had already walked out of the inner room.

The long-haired young man changed his clothes.

Compared to the business suit and tie they saw two hours ago, which added a sense of distance, the young man now had half-loose hair and wore a camel-colored windbreaker, which was more like the humble and gentle demeanor they had in mind.

"Good evening," Tracy's eyes warmed slightly, "Did I disturb your meal?"

“…”

Strangely, no one answered immediately.

Tong Wanwan and Lili glanced at Davina silently, only to find that the blonde girl, who was looking at her "idol" at close range, had already blushed and was unable to utter a word.

“…”

The two of them originally wanted Davina, who liked Tracy, to be the first to talk to him.

"No need to bother, we enjoyed the meal very much," Tong Wanwan said with a smile, "Thank you, Mr. Tracy, for taking the trouble to spend the money."

Tracy's eyelashes fluttered slightly, and she turned her gaze to the dark-haired girl who was speaking to him.

For the first time, I was looking at her from a much higher angle than she was, instead of looking up at her like a long-tailed tit. This feeling... was actually a bit subtle.

It was such a coincidence to meet Tong Wanwan.

Tracy only found out that day that the girl was going out. Coincidentally, he had to go out to discuss a research collaboration with other families regarding a solution for the "Tari" antibody, so he left the pet shop as well. Unexpectedly, he ran into Tong Wanwan at his family's branch restaurant, where she was dining with a friend.

Inviting them up was just an opportunity to meet the girls.

As for what to say after the meeting, he hadn't thought it through clearly.

However, Tracy did understand why those people in the store stayed by her side every day and refused to leave, nor did they want to reveal their identities. Perhaps it was because of these pure black, unique eyes, which were as gentle as they were when looking at pets, and as humble and respectful when looking at strangers.
