After lingering at the pond for a while, they continued their search for bird nests, hoping to catch a lone baby bird.

Honey badgers are natural predators of snakes. They can devour snakes under 1.5 meters in length in just 15 minutes. Furthermore, honey badgers are adept at catching venomous snakes; their thick skin makes them difficult to bite, and venom doesn't easily penetrate their bodies.
Secondly, even if a honey badger is bitten, it is immune to snake venom and will recover after a nap. Therefore, if a honey badger encounters a venomous snake in the wild, it's practically an easy meal for the badger.
After the honey badger finished eating the venomous snake, it ran away. Chen Laosi and his men hid for a while longer, and when they saw that there was nothing wrong, they came out.
Chen Laosi looked around and said, "It's too dangerous here. Let's go back. Next time, bring more adults and all the tools."
