Chapter 55 A speck of dust, how can it be poison?

There's always a special quality to the winter sun that makes you feel lazy as soon as you're exposed to it.

A gentle breeze carried the rich fragrance of camellias throughout the courtyard.

With the purple smoke swirling around the four of them, every breath they took brought a sense of tranquility and joy.

Even Dongfang Bubai and Qu Feiyan, who had experienced this many times during this period, became lazy and listless under this comfortable feeling, let alone Yaoyue, who was experiencing this feeling for the first time.

Under the sunlight, Yaoyue felt as if all her strength had been drained away, and she didn't even want to move a finger.

But strangely, this feeling of weakness didn't bother Yaoyue at all; on the contrary, she found it quite enjoyable.

And so, in this courtyard where the sun was shining and the flowers were in full bloom, Yaoyue successfully experienced the afternoon in Chu Qinghe's courtyard.

Chu Qinghe didn't wake up until the bright sunlight began to dim.

After sitting up with some difficulty, Chu Qinghe first stretched out his arms and legs.

Only after the sluggishness in his body had subsided slightly did he slowly get up.

At Chu Qinghe's commotion, Qu Feiyan and Dongfang Bubai, who were standing nearby, also woke up.

Then, the two of them got up very familiarly and followed Chu Qinghe to the stone table.

Just after the three of them sat down, Yaoyue belatedly woke up.

However, the moment she woke up, her true energy flowed throughout Yaoyue's body, and her body entered a state of alert.

Dongfang Bubai glanced at Yaoyue's reaction and sneered, "The Grand Palace Master of Yihua Palace is so easily startled, how laughable."

The voice, laced with obvious contempt, seemed to indicate that she had forgotten that when she was in Chu Qinghe's courtyard just moments before, her reaction was not much better than Yaoyue's now.

As Yaoyue approached, her gaze first swept over Dongfang Bubai, who was sitting next to Chu Qinghe, and then turned to Qu Feiyan, who was sitting on the other side of Chu Qinghe.

His eyes were deep and unfathomable.

Stared at so intently by Yaoyue, Qu Feiyan, who had just picked up her wine glass, paused for a moment before decisively standing up and giving up her seat.

Perhaps realizing her status in the courtyard, Qu Feiyan's expression was more natural when she offered her seat.

The little girl even tactfully left her wine glass on the table without taking it with her.

As soon as Yaoyue sat down, she immediately noticed the reddish and crystal-clear wine in the glass on the table.

Although she had some doubts, Yaoyue did not touch the wine cups on the table.

Chu Qinghe, who was standing to the side, seemed to have noticed something. After swallowing the wine in his mouth, he slowly said, "Don't worry! This wine will not affect Miss Yaoyue's injuries."

Upon hearing this, Yaoyue's gaze lingered on Chu Qinghe for a moment before she picked up the wine glass on the table.

Upon picking up the glass and taking a sniff, the rich aroma of grapes and wine instantly fills the nose.

With a gentle squeeze of the wine glass, Yaoyue brought it to her lips.

"It's poisonous!"

However, before Yaoyue could even taste the wine, Dongfang Bubai's cold laugh rang out from the side.

The simple three words caused Yaoyue's hand, which was holding the wine glass, to pause unconsciously.

But the next second, Yaoyue snorted, "How can a speck of dust be poison?"

Hearing Yaoyue's arrogant and conceited words, Dongfang Bubai curled his lip and said, "I wonder who was directly poisoned and passed out. A speck of dust, how can it be considered poison? What a big mouth."

Having her wound reopened, Yaoyue's eyes flashed like knives as she glared fiercely at Dongfang Bubai.

However, Dongfang Bubai seemed oblivious to Yaoyue's obvious dissatisfaction and somewhat threatening glare.

The sarcasm in his eyes even intensified.

This caused Yaoyue's eyelids to twitch instantly, and her anger flared up from the bottom of her heart.

Fortunately, the wine in the glass still held an appeal for Yaoyue at this moment.

After a few moments of contemplation, Yaoyue gave a soft hum, then withdrew her attention and placed the wine glass to her lips.

As the wine enters the mouth, one experiences a rich fruity aroma and a mellow fragrance, and the moonlight gently lifts the eyebrows.

After a few breaths, savoring the lingering aroma of the wine in her mouth, Yaoyue couldn't help but nod and say, "This wine is quite good!"

But just as he finished speaking, a warm sensation began to rise in his abdomen.

As this heat flowed through her body, Yaoyue suddenly felt that the discomfort in her meridians during her fight with Dongfang Bubai had eased.

Sensing the changes within her body, Yaoyue looked at the wine glass in her hand with surprise.

"This wine can actually nourish the meridians?"

As she spoke, Yaoyue's gaze couldn't help but drift to Chu Qinghe.

Meeting Yaoyue's somewhat inquiring gaze, Chu Qinghe smiled and nodded.

Taking in Chu Qinghe's gentle smile, Yaoyue felt a sense of warmth and intoxication that was more captivating than wine itself.

On the other hand, Dongfang Bubai narrowed his eyes as he looked at Yaoyue, whose eyes were now fixed on Chu Qinghe with a strange light in them.

Before Yaoyue appeared at Chu Qinghe's house today, Dongfang Bubai had held a somewhat appreciative attitude towards her.

Now, Dongfang Bubai only felt that the woman in front of him was an eyesore.

appreciate?

Ha! Only a blind man would appreciate such an annoying woman.

As if sensing Dongfang Bubai's gaze, Yaoyue turned her eyes slightly.
