Chapter Thirty-Five: Happiness is a transferable thing.

Whether the winter sun is good or bad is purely a matter of luck.

If you're lucky, the sunshine can even last all afternoon.

If you're unlucky, it might be gone in a moment.

Just like now, Qu Feiyan looked at the dark clouds in the sky, her little face full of confusion.

I had just lit incense and settled down when, in the blink of an eye, the sun was gone.

Meanwhile, Dongfang Bubai, standing beside him, also frowned slightly, clearly displeased by the sudden change in the weather from clear to cloudy.

Then, the two lying in the courtyard looked at each other for a moment. Qu Feiyan raised her hand and pointed to the sky, looking at Dongfang Bubai and said, "There's no sun anymore, what do we do now?"

Dongfang Bubai asked calmly, "What level have you reached in your Blood Fiend Palm technique?"

Qu Feiyan: "........."

Upon hearing Dongfang Bubai's words, Qu Feiyan immediately understood what Dongfang Bubai meant.

Slightly reluctant, Qu Feiyan pointed to the burning purple jade datura incense sticks beside her and said, "What about this? It's all lit. It would be a waste to go cultivate now! It's so precious."

Dongfang Bubai said calmly, "Besides calming your nerves, is this incense still of any use to you?"

After thinking for a moment, Qu Feiyan said seriously, "I feel like it might still be somewhat useful."

However, Dongfang Bubai responded to Qu Feiyan's words with a cold laugh.

Then Dongfang Bubai raised his long sleeves slightly, just about to circulate his inner energy to extinguish the incense, but suddenly remembered what Chu Qinghe had said earlier, and his raised hand froze for a moment, and he said instead, "Extinguish it!"

Seeing this, Qu Feiyan could only sigh.

Then, following Dongfang Bubai's instructions, he extinguished the purple jade datura incense and went to the courtyard to begin his cultivation.

However, after stopping, Qu Feiyan turned her head and asked, "Then what should I cultivate first?"

Dongfang Bubai: "Whatever makes you happy!"

Upon hearing this, Qu Feiyan hesitated for a moment before saying, "I'll probably be happier lying down."

Dongfang Bubai: "No, I think you'd be happier practicing palm techniques."

Qu Feiyan: "..."

Faced with Dongfang Bubai's words, Qu Feiyan could only start practicing her palm techniques with a displeased expression.

At the same time, Qu Feiyan suddenly felt that perhaps it wasn't a bad thing that her grandfather was too busy to take care of her in the past.

At least, I won't be forced to practice every time I have free time, like I am now.

While the little girl was practicing, Dongfang Bubai also sat up and occasionally gave Qu Feiyan pointers on her palm techniques.

But a quarter of an hour later, looking at Qu Feiyan's palm technique full of flaws, Dongfang Bubai inexplicably felt a little bored.

He glanced at the entrance, then scanned the entire courtyard.

Finally, his gaze settled on the huge camellia tree in the courtyard, and Dongfang Bubai felt that it was just so-so.

A few breaths later, Dongfang Bubai turned his gaze back to the front yard, his brows furrowing slightly.

Suddenly, Dongfang Bubai realized that everything in Chu Qinghe's courtyard was good, except for one thing: that person was missing.

At least, if Chu Qinghe were here, even if he did nothing but sit under the camellia tree, one would feel as if time were passing by silently.

Instead of being as obviously dull and boring as it is now.

Immediately after shaking his head, Dongfang Bubai got up and walked to Qu Feiyan's side, then began to instruct Qu Feiyan on her palm techniques.

"Raise your hand a little higher, or the difference will be huge. If the attack position is slightly off, you won't be able to land your move on the enemy's vital points."

"Your internal energy circulation is too slow. Without internal energy, is your palm strike just a tickle?"

"Don't be bound by the moves. Who taught you that martial arts must be done in a rigid, step-by-step manner?"

As Qu Feiyan's face grew increasingly dark, Dongfang Bubai's mood eased slightly.

Happiness is something that can shift.

.........

Shen Shi (3-5 PM).

After leaving the blacksmith shop on the east side of the city, Chu Qinghe had a smile on his face, clearly in a good mood.

After finishing his business, Chu Qinghe did not head home, but instead walked all the way to an alley in the east of the city.

As he took his first steps, Chu Qinghe's gaze fell upon a shop at the entrance of the alley.

The shop wasn't very big, probably about half the size of Chu Qinghe's main house.

As he walked, Chu Qinghe casually scanned his surroundings.

However, Chu Qinghe's gaze paused slightly when he saw two disciples dressed in Green Snake Gang uniforms sitting at a tea stall across the street.

As if sensing Chu Qinghe's gaze, the two Green Snake Gang disciples at the tea stall also turned their attention to him. However, while the two Green Snake Gang disciples' gazes fell on Chu Qinghe, Chu Qinghe's gaze had already moved elsewhere.

Even so, Chu Qinghe could still feel the gazes of the two Green Snake Gang disciples on him out of the corner of his eye.

Although Chu Qinghe harbored some doubts, he did not show it on his face and continued walking unhurriedly until he entered a shop in the middle of the alley.

Inside the shop, near the entrance, are various decorative items such as gold hairpins and silver bracelets.

But unlike ordinary jewelry stores, which are filled with a dazzling array of decorative items.

Another part of the shop is separated.

Some iron tools can be faintly seen inside.

Beside the back door, there was a stove burning bright red.

When Chu Qinghe entered the shop, the shop owner, who was carving on a wooden hairpin with a carving knife, immediately noticed and looked up at the door.
