Chapter 33 Intimacy

Chapter 33 Intimacy

The light under the eaves was quite obvious, and judging from the direction the firelight was moving, this person was heading towards Cheng Yuan and Chu Jianshan's room.

“We’ve only been here for one day, and some people are already eager to get started.”

Chu Jianshan turned to Cheng Yuan and asked, "Who do you think this person is?"

Cheng Yuan replied casually, "It's most likely that Luo Qiu."

"Whether it is or not, we'll find out by going to see for ourselves."

Chu Jianshan pulled Cheng Yuan and jumped off the roof. Perhaps because the noise was too loud, the distant firelight suddenly stopped and then moved closer to them.

Cheng Yuan pulled Chu Jianshan behind him and asked the man loudly, "It's so late, Miss Luo, aren't you asleep yet?"

"What Miss Luo? Are you blind?"

As soon as the familiar voice came out, Chu Jianshan jumped out from behind Cheng Yuan, his face full of shock: "Bai Qianfan? What are you doing here?!"

Bai Qianfan raised an eyebrow and held the lantern between the three of them: "I was going to ask you the same thing, why aren't you sleeping in the middle of the night, out having an affair?"

Chu Jianshan didn't react to these words, but Cheng Yuan seemed guilty and coughed twice.

Chu Jianshan shrugged: "I really can't sleep, so I dragged Cheng Yuan out to chat with me."

Then he frowned in confusion and asked Bai Qianfan, "You...can't sleep either?"

As far as he knew, Bai Qianfan's sleep quality was exceptionally good; he shouldn't be having trouble sleeping.

Bai Qianfan smiled proudly and said, "You really think I'm as idle as you guys? Tonight, I did something big."

Chu Jianshan asked, "What important matter?"

"You know that Luo Qiu? I've caught him!"

Chu Jianshan found it rather unusual: "That's rare, he actually dared to make a move on a pretty girl."

Bai Qianfan explained, "That was all a scheme! Do you really think I can't resist a girl? I noticed something was off about Luo Qiu a while ago, so I've been keeping watch outside her room all night. Sure enough, I saw her little tricks."

Chu Jianshan asked, "Does she intend to attack us?"

Bai Qianfan nodded, paused for a few seconds, then shook his head and explained, "It's not us, it's one of us."

After he finished speaking, he looked at Cheng Yuan.

Chu Jianshan frowned slightly as he began to ponder all of this. Ever since entering Qingyao City, everything seemed to be pointing, intentionally or unintentionally, towards Cheng Yuan.

Is it possible that He Kun's ambush was actually aimed at Cheng Yuan, and that the poisoning was not meant to lure him into attacking, but rather to kill Cheng Yuan?

It seems that He Kun isn't entirely willing to be manipulated by the person behind the scenes.

At this moment, Cheng Yuan spoke up, saying to Bai Qianfan, "Has she been interrogated? I have no grudge against her, she shouldn't want to kill me unless someone instructed her to do so."

Bai Qianfan looked completely innocent: "Don't ask me. You know I can't bring myself to hurt a girl. It's good enough that I got this much out of her. Do you expect me to torture her into confessing? I've already tied her up. You can ask her yourselves tomorrow."

After saying that, he let out a huge yawn: "I'm so sleepy, you guys owe me a favor this time!"

Chu Jianshan looked down and saw the incense burner-like object in his hand, and asked, "What is this?"

"Oh, this is some calming incense I took from Luo Qiu's room. I thought you might be able to use it."

Chu Jianshan solemnly accepted the incense burner with both hands, his eyes filled with tears, not knowing how to thank Bai Qianfan: "You are truly my savior!"

After saying goodbye to Bai Qianfan, Chu Jianshan and Cheng Yuan went back together. Chu Jianshan carried the calming incense with him the whole way. He used to have trouble sleeping and had used many calming incenses, but he had never smelled this unique fragrance before.

Never mind, any calming incense that helps him sleep well is a good calming incense!

For some reason, Chu Jianshan felt weak and powerless as soon as he entered the room. He staggered a couple of steps and was helped up by Cheng Yuan.

"What's wrong?" Cheng Yuan asked.

Chu Jianshan shook his head: "It's probably due to poisoning."

Cheng Yuan sensed something was wrong: "The poison shouldn't have taken effect so early. Have you been in contact with anything else?"

Chu Jianshan held up the incense burner in his hand for him to see: "This is all we have."

Cheng Yuan took the incense burner, but after studying it for a long time, he couldn't find any problems. Chu Jianshan advised, "Bai Qianfan brought it over personally. He understands medical principles, so there's no way he wouldn't be able to see the problem."

Cheng Yuan placed the incense burner on the table and asked Chu Jianshan, "Is there anything else that's bothering you?"

Chu Jianshan carefully examined himself: "No... Besides feeling a bit weak, I also feel a bit... hot?"

He himself couldn't explain it clearly. The feeling was too strange. It wasn't exactly painful, but it was definitely not comfortable.

Seeing Cheng Yuan's worried expression, Chu Jianshan couldn't help but reassure him, "Don't worry, I'm fine. You should go back first."

Cheng Yuan was still a little worried and asked again, "Are you really alright?"

Chu Jianshan nodded, touched his burning face, and said, "Let's go back, it's already very late."

Cheng Yuan agreed and turned to leave, but just as he reached the door, he heard the sound of teacups shattering on the floor.

He turned around abruptly and saw Chu Jianshan unable to hold on and kneeling on the ground.

"Chu Jianshan!"

Cheng Yuan ran over and helped him up. Chu Jianshan's breathing was heavy. He touched Chu Jianshan's forehead, but he didn't seem to have a fever.

Are you alright?

Cheng Yuan looked at Chu Jianshan in his arms. He seemed somewhat delirious, and his eyes were blurry when he looked up at Cheng Yuan.

Chu Jianshan shook his head and began to pull off his clothes: "Why am I so hot..."

Cheng Yuan's heart skipped a beat for a moment. He quickly grabbed Chu Jianshan's hand to stop him from moving, then carried him to the bed, gently shook his shoulders twice, and asked, "Chu Jianshan, look carefully, who am I?"

Chu Jianshan obediently looked up at him, his eyes somewhat vacant and glistening with tears. He softly murmured, "A-Yuan..."

The impact of this title on Cheng Yuan was self-evident. He felt a surge of anger rush down his spine, his Adam's apple bobbing, but he dared not do anything to Chu Jianshan because he guessed that it was most likely due to the incense burner. Taking advantage of someone in distress was not the act of a gentleman.

But Chu Jianshan was clearly not a gentleman, because he had already started to pry into Cheng Yuan's body. He had been carrying the calming incense the whole way, and unlike Bai Qianfan and Cheng Yuan, he did not have spiritual power protecting him. At this moment, he was in great discomfort, and his cheeks were abnormally red.

Chu Jianshan struggled to break free from Cheng Yuan's grasp and tried to hug him, but Cheng Yuan could only clumsily grab him, saying, "Chu Jianshan, calm down!"

Chu Jianshan gave an irrelevant answer: "I'm not cold, I'm so hot. You're cold, can I touch you?"

At this moment, Chu Jianshan was incredibly soft, his voice was soft, and his body was soft. Cheng Yuan resisted the urge to move him and only comforted him, "Be good and stay here. I'll go find Bai Qianfan."

As he spoke, he pressed Chu Jianshan down onto the bed, wanting to escape from there as soon as he got up, but he was suddenly pulled down by a force.

Cheng Yuan lost his balance and fell onto the bed. Chu Jianshan took the opportunity to press down on him, pinning him down with his legs, pulling open his collar with his hands, and rubbing his face against his neck.

Cheng Yuan was startled by the burning heat emanating from his body. It seemed he wasn't exaggerating; he really was hot. Afraid that he might fall, Cheng Yuan didn't dare to move and only lightly supported his waist with his hand.

After a while, Chu Jianshan stopped moving, raised his head and stared into Cheng Yuan's eyes. For some reason, tears welled up in his eyes and condensed into a drop that fell into the corner of Cheng Yuan's eye. Then, the curve of his face slid down, making it look as if Cheng Yuan was crying.

Cheng Yuan sighed softly, gently stroked his cheek, and asked tenderly, "Why are you crying?"

Chu Jianshan didn't speak, but tears kept flowing. Every time he shed a tear, Cheng Yuan would wipe it away for him.

After he finished crying, Cheng Yuan tried to help him up, but Chu Jianshan refused and pushed him back down, then, as if in a huff, slammed his lips onto his.

It really hit him. Cheng Yuan felt a sharp pain from the impact, but the pain also made him realize that Chu Jianshan was kissing him.

It was more like a nibble than a kiss, because Chu Jianshan didn't know how to kiss at all; he just kept biting his lips without even changing the gesture.

But even with such a clumsy kiss, Cheng Yuan's breathing began to quicken and his heartbeat accelerated. He slowly realized that he seemed to be going crazy as well.

He held Chu Jianshan's forearms with both hands, afraid that he would lose his strength and be unable to support himself. Sure enough, not long after, Chu Jianshan lost his strength and buried his face in his neck, refusing to move.

But now that it had begun, Cheng Yuan was not about to let him off so easily. He grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it forcefully. The wooden door slammed shut, leaving no chance for outsiders to peek in.

Then he flipped over, pinning Chu Jianshan beneath him. Now that their positions were reversed, Cheng Yuan, his eyes red and panting, said, "Chu Jianshan, you were the one who started this fire."

After saying that, he kissed her deeply, their lips intertwining and pulling out countless silvery threads. It was unclear whose lips were broken, but the kiss carried a faint taste of rust.

Cheng Yuan held Chu Jianshan's waist with one hand and pressed the back of Chu Jianshan's head with the other, making it easier for him to exert force and kiss him more deeply.

A superficial attempt only scratches the surface, and Cheng Yuan was clearly not satisfied with that. He then inserted his tongue into Chu Jianshan's mouth, moving it in and out rhythmically with his movements. Chu Jianshan felt uncomfortable and tried to push the person off him, but Cheng Yuan grabbed him and raised his hands above his head.

The temperature between the two gradually rose. Chu Jianshan was tormented and wanted to speak, but his mouth was blocked, so he could only make muffled noises.

Cheng Yuan kissed him passionately, his hands gradually moving up from his waist to his chest. He pulled open Chu Jianshan's collar, revealing a large expanse of fair skin. He gently stroked it, but the skin was not as smooth as he had imagined. It was covered with many knife and sword wounds, like ugly, winding ravines, clinging tightly to the skin.

Chu Jianshan suddenly struggled, turning his face away from Cheng Yuan's kiss, his voice broken: "I... can't breathe."

Cheng Yuan released his lips to let him breathe, then went to kiss the scar on his shoulder. There was a deep mark on his left shoulder, left by the Liuyin Sword when he was pierced through by it in Furong Town.

So Cheng Yuan stared intently at that spot, kissing it repeatedly, his lips gently touching and then slowly pulling away, with boundless devotion.
