Chapter 137: Temple of God or Ghost Temple

In the dark hall, a few candles were dimly lit. The wind blew over them, causing them to sway, but they did not go out. Instead, they burned even more brightly.

If you look closely, you can see the faint blue light hidden under the candle wick, intertwined with the red light, with a faint sense of despair that is about to break out of the ground.

"Bang! Bang!" The heavy iron door slowly opened, and the sound of heavy rust friction rang out in the extremely empty hall, which seemed particularly terrifying.

"Aqiu!" Tan Tailuo couldn't help but sneeze, ruining the tranquility that was unique to this hall. But it wasn't her fault. If there was anything to blame, it was the sheer amount of dust, as if it hadn't been cleaned in years.

Mu Huan hadn't woken up yet. Tan Tailuo supported her, moving forward with some difficulty. Although they hadn't been separated this time, they still hadn't reunited with Mu Qing and the others. There was no telling if they were safe, or even... alive or dead!

The candlelight in the hall flickered, and occasionally there were gusts of cold wind. Tan Tai Luo felt a chill on his back, which made him feel a little creepy.

But how could she be afraid at a time like this? Mu Ge and the others were not around, Huan Huan was still sleeping, everything depended on her, she had to protect Huan Huan.

Slowly moving his feet, he gradually walked to the center of the hall. Suddenly, a beam of light shot over and shone on Tan Tailuo and Mu Huan. Tan Tailuo especially felt that the beam of light lingered on Mu Huan's face for a long time.

Tan Tai Luo raised his head with a look of vigilance, so he didn't see the beam of light shining over at all. Mu Huan's eyelashes moved inadvertently.

"Where exactly is this place?" Tan Tai Luo murmured softly. They say this secret realm is an ancient battlefield, so could this hall be the residence of some descended god? It looks like it's been deserted for a long time. And rightly so, no one has been here for a long time.

For the sake of Mu Huan and his own life, Tan Tai Luo did not act rashly. Instead of moving forward, he chose to stay where he was.

"Hmm" Mu Huan moaned, but she never opened her eyes. Cold sweat kept coming out of her forehead. Tan Tailuo was extremely anxious, but she could do nothing but wipe her sweat and comfort her!

Mu Huan didn't know what was wrong with her. She tried her best to open her eyes, but she couldn't, as if there was an external force blocking her.

Everything in front of her was pitch black, without a trace of light, which was frightening. She wanted to escape, but it was as if she was being held captive by a pair of hands, and she couldn't escape.

Suddenly, the entire hall was bright, and Mu Huan slowly opened his eyes.

"Huanhuan, you're finally awake!" Tantai Luo's joyful voice rang in Mu Huan's ears, leaving her bewildered. This time, she felt as if she had lost all memory... Wasn't she still in the mermaid tribe just now? How did she suddenly end up in such a place?

"Headache!" Mu Huan shook his head, fingers pressed against his temples. He hadn't felt such intense pain when that woman had squeezed him before, so what was going on today? He felt very uncomfortable.

"Luoluo!" Mu Huan's voice was a little hoarse, and he felt a sharp pain in his throat.

"What's wrong? Are you still feeling uncomfortable somewhere?" Tan Tai Luo blinked and looked at Mu Huan. From the time she came out of the mermaid tribe until now, Huan Huan had been sleeping for a long time and had not woken up yet. She was still worried that something was wrong!

"Weren't we just in the mermaid tribe? Why are we here now? Where on earth are we?" Looking at the brightly lit hall, everything within sight turned into a magnificent golden palace.

With the support of Tan Tailuo, Mu Huan took a closer look at the hall they were in. Why did she feel a sense of familiarity deep in her soul? She had clearly never been here before!

Looking at the hall in front of her, Mu Huan fell into deep thought as she heard Tan Tai Luo talking about what happened after she fell into a coma.

If she guessed correctly, it might be because the woman forced her down and took over the body consciousness, which caused her current physical discomfort.

Releasing Tan Tai Luo's hand, Mu Huan took a few steps forward. The statue atop the main hall looked strangely familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before. As he got closer, he saw a sculpture of a woman in a red dress dancing gracefully. Her eyes were portrayed with lifelike precision, vivid and lifelike.

"Could this be the place where some god lives? I heard that the place where gods live is called a temple." Although I don't want to admit that this is indeed a bit tacky, but this is a symbol of strength and status!

"I don't know!" Mu Huan's voice sounded a little weak, and his face was pale, which made Tan Tai Luo beside him frightened.

There is a sacrificial table under the statue of the woman in the red dress, but for some reason it is covered with dust, as if no one has been there for years.

Mu Huan reached out and picked up the dusty little ghosts huddled together on the table. Their dark, wide-open eyes vaguely suggested they saw blood flowing, yet Mu Huan surprisingly felt a sense of closeness.

She must be crazy!

"Luoluo, this pair of little ghosts are so cute!" As expected, Tan Tai Luo's train of thought is always strange. If it were another girl, she would have been scared and screamed.

Therefore, this is also a very important reason why Mu Huan and Tan Tai Luo can become good friends who go through life and death together.

"Cute?" Mu Huan stared at the little ghost in his hands, "Yeah, I think it's cute too." He played with it for a long time, and when he wanted to put it down, Mu Huan's fair hands had turned black and red, and the flowing cold blood bloomed in Mu Huan's hands.

"Ah!" Tan Tailuo exclaimed softly, stunned by Mu Huan's hand, "This..."

"It's nothing, don't worry!" Mu Huan said to comfort him. This hall was really interesting and strange, making people want to explore its deepest secrets.

"Luoluo!"

"Huh?" Tan Tai Luo had not yet recovered from the sight of his hands covered in blood.

"Do you want to know what's going on?" Mu Huan glanced at Tan Tai Luo with a smile in her eyes, but more of it was curiosity. She wanted to see who was causing trouble, or if it was something else.

Tan Tai Luo swallowed her saliva. In fact, she was still very afraid of death. However, being friends meant being loyal. If Huan Huan was interested, then she would definitely risk her life to accompany him.

"Yeah!" Tan Tai Luo nodded heavily.

"Let's go!" Mu Huan held the trembling Tan Tailuo's hand with one hand, and touched the red-skirted sculpture with the other. Sure enough, there really was a secret passage. My heart suddenly became a little nervous. It felt like exploring the secrets was really exciting.

Mu Huan pressed his hand down, and a secret door opened at the right rear of the sculpture.

"Walk!"

Tan Tai Luo followed behind, step by step, and couldn't help but marvel at Huan Huan's courage.

After entering the secret door, there was a winding secret passage. After carefully looking around, there were no hidden weapons or dangers. But the more this happened, the more dangerous Mu Huan felt.
