Chapter 5: Crisis that Emerges Midway

Mu Huan held Erya in his arms and walked towards home. He hummed a cheerful little tune and thought about how happy he would be if he could become the apprentice of the beautiful Liang Ci in the future.

Suddenly, the footsteps stopped.

The air around me seemed to stop flowing suddenly, as if I had stepped into a parallel space that was detached from the material world.

"Oh my god, you're trying to mess with me!" Mu Huan took Arya back into the contract space. Dad had said that Arya was her trump card and must not be exposed unless absolutely necessary.

I took a deep breath and took a light step. Unexpectedly, the moment I took a step, the surrounding scenery completely changed, as if from the warmth of spring to the heat of summer.

"It's over, I hit a brick wall." Mu Huan's face was full of a wry smile. "But I remember I've been quite honest recently. When did I provoke the powerful?" The only one who could still be distracted at this time was probably Mu Huan.

"Ahem!" A cough sounded from behind. The person who came seemed to be seriously injured. Mu Huan slowly turned around and saw a man in a black robe. His face was pale, especially the long scar on his left cheek, which made him feel terrified.

"If I'm seriously injured, I shouldn't be in any danger!" Mu Huan mentally encouraged herself. After all, when it comes to cherishing life, Mu Huan is definitely the best. Even Mu Yuntian said that perhaps Mu Huan wasn't suited to this turbulent world of spiritual cultivation, because she had no desires or ambitions, and didn't have that much ambition to pursue the so-called great way.

But the more indifferent someone seems on the surface, the more they actually care. If someone touches their reverse scale, the power they unleash is unimaginable.

Mu Huan slowly walked towards the black-robed man, squatted down, stretched out his hand to feel the black-robed man's breath, "Oh wow, he's still alive despite such a serious injury!"

Mu Huan stood up and circled around the black-robed man. "It's obvious he's not an ordinary guy. Every stitch and thread on his clothes was made by a master. He must be a nobleman."

As if he suddenly remembered something, Mu Huan pointed at the black-robed man on the ground and jumped up and down in anger.

"Oh my god, you're the one who implicated me, aren't you? I..." Mu Huan was speechless. He looked at the black-robed man on the ground with helplessness and hatred.

"There's nothing we can do. We're now two grasshoppers on the same rope." Mu Huan had a feeling that if he wanted to get out, he would definitely need the help of this black-robed monster.

With the idea that "saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda," he was actually just afraid of death. Mu Huan approached the black-robed monster and reached out, trying to carry him on his back.

"What do you want to do!" The voice was extremely cold, like biting ice.

Seeing the bloody hand grabbing his wrist, Mu Huan almost jumped up and down, but for his life...

"What? You got me involved. I'm a magnanimous person and I'm going to save you now, and you're repaying me with evil like this?" Mu Huan's wrist was hurt by being grabbed.

As if he knew that he was not in the right, the black-robed monster let go, "Sorry! Cough!" Judging from the appearance, he was seriously injured.

Looking at his hands with heartache, Mu Huan felt that he was just unlucky. He looked at the sky helplessly and resigned himself to his fate by helping the black-robed monster up. The black-robed monster was too badly injured and his body was completely supported by Mu Huan.

"Oh my god, I didn't realize you were so seriously injured!" he muttered. "I'm telling you! I'm neither a pharmacist nor an alchemist. I only know some simple bandaging. Your injuries look pretty serious! Do you have any medicine?"

He looked at Mu Huan, who was pouting and complaining, and seemed to think that Mu Huan looked like a good person. "I have a bottle of fourth-grade elixir on me, but my hands are weak. Can you help me get it out?" He spoke slowly and his breath was weak. He was really badly injured!

But!!! Mu Huan's focus was not here at all.

"What did you say???" He seemed to be unable to believe his ears. "Fourth, four, fourth-grade, fourth-grade pill? One bottle????" Swallowing, Mu Huan sighed to himself that he was the only poor one, while everyone else he met was rich! Even the beautiful Liang Ci.

"You look like you've never seen the world." The black-robed monster spoke in a very slow and gentle voice. I thought he was an arrogant nobleman, but he turned out to be the stupid son of a landlord with a bad mouth.

Mu Huan endured it, after all, he was rich. Resigned to his fate, he searched the black-robed monster's body for the elixir. However, after searching for a long time, he didn't find any.

"How long do you want to touch it?" The black-robed monster's voice was filled with a hint of laughter.

Laughing? ? ? Naked laughing!! “I quit, find a job yourself!” He turned his face away, angry.

The black-robed monster resigned himself to his fate, took out the pills, poured one out, and swallowed it. "This pill can only relieve the pain, it won't help me recover!"

"What? Well, well, well, if you can't recover, how are we going to get out of this damn place?" Mu Huan wished he could transfer the black-robed monster's injuries to himself. Don't get me wrong, Mu Huan just wanted to get out quickly.

"The space here is ever-changing. I'm not sure I can take you out now." Mo Ming just wanted to tease her, but he was also telling the truth. If this space was really the masterpiece of that group of people, they must have paid a heavy price to deal with him!

"Then, how can you return to your prime?" Mu Huan looked at the space that had changed again, and he felt a little irritated. If he didn't leave, what would happen if the beauty ran away?

"A parallel space is also an opportunity!" These eight words summed it up. "Looking at your small size, with only the cultivation level of a Spiritual Master, you could gain some insights and achieve a breakthrough here. I can also focus on healing and try to get you out as soon as possible."

"That's alright. There's no other way at this point." Mu Huan lowered his head, resigned to his fate. "Then let's find a place to stay first! We can't just stay here and sleep in the open!" Thinking about the three months until the Youshan Academy exam, Mu Huan felt relieved. This was the perfect time to improve his skills.

"My beautiful Liang, please don't accept any apprentice for me during this period!" Mu Huan's voice was very low. The black-robed monster just thought she was blaming him, smiled and said nothing.

"Ben, my name is Qi Mo!" Qi Mo tried to strike up a conversation and get the little guy to pay attention to him.

"Oh, my name is Mu Huan." The little face was dull and she replied to Qi Mo listlessly.

"Are you so unhappy?" Qi Mo felt a little guilty. After all, he was the one who got her involved.

"It's okay, it's like this anyway."

Mu Huan suddenly turned around and looked at Qi Mo, "You should be thankful that it was me you implicated, and fortunately I have a good temper. If it were someone else, I would have cut you into pieces long ago." He waved his fist "viciously", but in fact it had no killing power at all.

Mu Huan's appearance wasn't exactly stunning; it was merely delicate, with a slightly round face. However, her eyes were incredibly captivating, instantly conjuring a picture of a beautiful, intelligent woman, full of spirit. Most importantly, she had a likable personality, albeit a bit of a mouthful!

"Yes, yes, I understand, aunt!" Qi Mo held his forehead and shook his head helplessly. This was not what he wanted! Who knew that this little girl would suddenly break in.
