The coach promised to treat us to dinner, but he's nowhere to be seen.
And it was Lin Jia sitting in front of him.
Lin Jia's face instantly darkened; a sixteen-year-old brat was sitting in the hero's seat.
Upon seeing this, Nomi grinned and said, "Oh, it's you, Manager Lin. Are you treating us to dinner?"
If Hero hadn't been there, Lin Jia would probably have yelled at him.
He deliberately ruined her plans.
To maintain her good image, she never showed her bad temper in front of Hero.
She forced a smile: "Why did you all come?"
Nomi looked at the menu and handed it to the waiter: "Just these for now, one serving each. If you're still hungry, we can order more."
Nomi, who is good at nothing but eating, has nothing but food in his eyes: "Hi God said that the coach invited us to dinner, so we came. If you don't believe me, ask Hi God."
Anyone with common sense can see that the coach didn't actually want to treat everyone to dinner.
Instead, Lin Jia found a way to ask Hero out on a date.
But as a straight man, Hero is the kind of guy who's incredibly cold and won't stop until he's made people feel incredibly awkward.
Lin Jia couldn't seduce him.
Lin Jia looked at Hero, who was slowly walking towards her, seemingly uninterested in anything and in a world-weary state. She held her breath and said, "Hero, didn't I say I'd treat you to dinner?"
She spoke softly, her fingernails practically scratching themselves raw.
So many light bulbs.
They all have enormous appetites and are completely oblivious to the dangers of food.
Hero said casually, "The coach is treating us to dinner. I thought he was treating everyone."
Generally speaking, if a coach invites someone to dinner, he can only invite the five of them.
The five of them are one.
In a competition, it's not good if anyone is missing.
Lin Jia had no words to refute, only feeling as if he had overlooked something.
I should have made my father clearer that only Hero needed to come.
She turned her gaze to Nomi, hoping he would be sensible enough to understand what she meant.
She wasn't inviting them; she wanted to go on a date with Hero.
They even chose restaurants with a romantic ambiance.
The restaurant's style is predominantly white, with lilies on the tablecloths and bottles, candles, and even fresh flowers on the trolleys.
Extremely romantic style.
Nomi looked up, blinked at Lin Jia, and asked, puzzled, "Manager Lin, why is your face so green? Are you feeling unwell?"
Lin Jia was almost furious: "Nomi, you probably don't like French restaurants, do you?"
Nomi was cutting foie gras, and it melted quickly in his mouth. He nodded and said excitedly, "Wow, foie gras is so delicious! I love it! Hey, brother, have a bite."
He put a piece on Hero's plate, completely unaware of what Lin Jia was saying.
Of all things, food comes first.
"The steak was delicious, this restaurant is really good, but there was too little food. I only ate two bites and it was gone. And it's so expensive!" Nomi kept nagging, "One serving costs more than seven hundred. This meal will cost at least ten thousand before we can leave."
Hua Yan and Xu Hai hung their heads, thinking that Nuomi was really stubborn.
Doesn't Lin Jia understand what he wants to do?
Of course, they also understood that Hero was rejecting people in his own way.
They treat Hero like family.
Eating and sleeping together, that's true brotherhood.
It's an unspoken understanding.
No matter how delicious the food is, I still can't enjoy it.
Nomi is carefree and, despite his young age, is innocent and naive; there's nothing he wouldn't dare to do.
He ate heartily, wolfing down his food, and with his cheeks puffed out, he praised Lin Jia: "Manager Lin is so generous, treating us to dinner, and it's so expensive. I'm so touched I almost cried."
As he spoke, he rubbed his eyes.
Hero sat there drinking water, listening to Nomi's rambling, and reminded him, "Eat before you talk, don't choke."
Nomi nodded and quickly swallowed.
Lin Jia replied matter-of-factly, "You're welcome, it's all my pleasure, please eat as much as you like."
After saying that, he looked at Hero and handed him the cut steak: "Hero, try it, I've already cut it for you."
Hero coldly replied, "I don't like Western food."
Lin Jia had already handed over the cutlery, but Hero completely ignored her gesture.
Nomi intercepted the order from the middle: "Hey, if Brother God isn't eating it, I'll eat it. Give it to me."
He took the steak: "Manager Lin is so thoughtful, he even knew to cut it for me. Thank you so much. Hehe."
After saying that, he continued eating.
The atmosphere suddenly turned icy.
Everyone should know how ugly Lin Jia's face is.
Seeing the atmosphere had reached this point, Xu Hai said, "Hero, what would you like to eat? Manager Lin doesn't know your preferences."
Lin Jia stayed with him for many years.
Hero rarely eats out.
He ate whatever the club provided.
I'm never a picky eater.
However, they are all home-cooked meals, nothing fancy or complicated.
She thought she already knew Hero very well.
Hero hadn't expected things to get so awkward, and simply said, "Mushroom soup."
Xu Hai said, "Mushroom soup, Hero, eat it."
Lin Jia handed the one next to him to Hero: "It's untouched, you can try it."
"Mmm." Hero didn't refuse, took the spoon and took a sip.
Lin Jia asked expectantly, "How is it? Is it good?"
"Okay." Hero replied succinctly.
This made Lin Jia feel a little better.
Xu Hai then said, "Manager Lin, don't you eat sweets? Last time, I saw you bring a lot of desserts to the team."
