Even though Qin Yiheng hadn't agreed to her request, she was confident, so she had prepared to come out long ago.
Qin Yiheng didn't say anything more. After hanging up the phone, he put his arm around Jiang Yan and went upstairs: "There shouldn't be any more calls this time. Let's make something delicious tonight."
Jiang Yan paused for a moment, then smiled and nodded.
This man must have some kind of magic...
Even after the two entered the house, Jiang Yan watched him doing the most ordinary things as usual, and the thought still lingered in her mind.
The phone calls he received along the way, and the things they talked about, would have terrified an ordinary person, but for Qin Yiheng, they seemed perfectly normal. He could even put down his phone and laugh as they discussed what to eat for dinner.
He could choose to be close to those things or distant from them as he pleased.
Jiang Yan is a pretty good cook, and the two of them usually eat at home unless they are too busy.
"Please tidy up the other room properly in a bit, so that your aunt can stay there later," Qin Yiheng reminded her.
Jiang Yan nodded, then, as if remembering something, she chuckled mischievously, "Hey, are you doing this on purpose?"
Qin Yiheng looked at her, puzzled.
Their eyes met, and Qin Yiheng suddenly understood something. He smiled helplessly and deliberately said, "That's right, who wants to be alone in an empty room?"
"Nonsense!" Jiang Yan retorted, but her face flushed red with embarrassment. She quickly lowered her head and picked up some food to eat.
Qin Yiheng felt a little bad when he saw that she had tried to squeeze her hands several times but failed. He reached out and held her hand.
"Yan Yan, as you know, we are facing a lot of things right now. After all of this is over, I will avenge my parents, and then we will live together happily. I will make it up to you."
As he spoke, he grabbed Jiang Yan's hand and kissed it.
Even if Qin Yiheng hadn't said it, Jiang Yan would have understood. But hearing him explain it to her so formally still warmed her heart.
Her face turned even redder: "Why are you saying these things out of the blue? If I didn't understand you, I wouldn't have understood you in the first place."
Qin Yiheng smiled, rubbing his hands together: "I just want to give you a promise."
Although they were engaged, it was not good for their reputation for them to live together alone before the wedding. It was one thing for them to sleep separately before, but now that more and more things were happening, Qin Yiheng had no choice but to live with Jiang Yan, even for safety reasons.
This is actually not fair to Jiang Yan.
Jiang Yan suddenly put down her chopsticks and buried her head in Qin Yiheng's arms. She snuggled up a little uncomfortably, but when she spoke, her voice became light and cheerful: "Okay, I know, I understand, I will take responsibility for you."
Qin Yiheng's heart softened, and he gently ruffled Jiang Yan's hair, saying in agreement, "You said it yourself. If you go back on your word, I'll be coming after you every day."
"Sure! Let's see how you find me..." Jiang Yan said, scratching Qin Yiheng's waist and laughing, "Like this?"
I wanted to tickle him, but Qin Yiheng probably has a naturally unique constitution, so he didn't react at all, and he didn't laugh because of the tickling. The angle at the corner of his mouth should be called happiness.
"Don't you have any ticklish spots?" Jiang Yan asked curiously, scratching herself again.
"Hmm?" Qin Yiheng snorted and scratched at Jiang Yan.
"Ah! Hahaha... No... Haha, no..." Jiang Yan immediately gave in, but the more she resisted, the more excited Qin Yiheng became.
After a while of arguing, Jiang Yan's clothes were torn open. Qin Yiheng's Adam's apple bobbed with difficulty before he finally let her go.
All the previous unpleasantness disappeared, and the two tidied up the house again that night.
The next day, around 8 a.m., Wang Hao and Zhao Yunfei knocked on the door.
Contrary to expectations, the two were no longer so nervous. They carried gifts that weren't particularly expensive, but were still quite extravagant for them. Upon seeing Qin Yiheng, they addressed him as "Master" and Jiang Yan as "Master's Wife," which surprised Jiang Yan.
Wang Hao's smile stretched to the back of his ears: "Master, we've discussed it, and we definitely want to have a formal apprenticeship ceremony, so we specially prepared tea..."
"Who told you to do these things?"
The young couple were too excited to notice Qin Yiheng's constantly furrowed brows, while Jiang Yan noticed it and felt a little worried. It wasn't until Qin Yiheng spoke that the young couple were startled into silence, their hands tugging at each other beneath them.
Qin Yiheng, with a cold expression, turned and went into the house: "Come with me."
Wang Hao and Zhao Yunfei dared not step forward, and instead looked to Jiang Yan for help.
They were all around the same age, but whenever they faced Qin Yiheng, Wang Hao and Zhao Yunfei felt like they were facing a rigid old professor at school. That sense of oppression emanated from within and was a little unbearable.
Feeling a little sorry for Qin Yiheng, Jiang Yan stepped forward and tugged at his sleeve.
"Yiheng, that..."
Qin Yiheng didn't respond, still coldly watching Wang Hao and Zhao Yunfei, as if to say, "If you two aren't coming in, leave now."
Jiang Yan had no choice but to go over and comfort the young couple again: "It's okay, go ahead, nothing will happen."
The three entered the room, closed the door, and Jiang Yan had no idea what they discussed.
However, when they came out, Jiang Yan could clearly see that the young couple were both somewhat dazed.
"What's wrong?" Jiang Yan couldn't help but ask curiously.
However, even after the young couple left, Jiang Yan couldn't get any information out of them, so she turned her puzzled gaze to Qin Yiheng.
"That's good. We can talk to them about our life ideals," Qin Yiheng said.
If you want to learn something, it's not as simple as just saying a few words or giving a gift to someone. True apprenticeship isn't just about bringing tea and kowtowing.
The two kids came over with good intentions, but something about them wasn't quite right.
Qin Yiheng had to correct them before he could decide whether to continue.
Jiang Yan was still puzzled: "Huh?"
Putting aside her less-than-ideal physical condition, she doesn't look like she's doing very well.
"Has the competition been settled? Which of the two will go? Are they capable?"
Others may not know, but Jiang Yan knows best. Apart from what they did and said mysteriously in the room today, the young couple didn't learn anything from each other at all.
Besides, they're still in college. How can they compare to the experienced Fang Qian? Even if two of them were to fight one, they wouldn't stand a chance, let alone the fact that it would have to be one-on-one.
But Jiang Yan felt that asking this question was pointless.
As expected, Qin Yiheng simply said softly, "No rush."
There is an old saying that one should learn morality before learning medicine. If they are only being taught for the sake of competition, why doesn't Qin Yiheng do it himself?
