Chapter 2

Chapter 2

The little cub lying on the soft bed looked at his brother and said "Woo-wah?" in confusion.

He listened to Jiang Mingyan's words with a half-understanding, his big black eyes twinkling like two bright stars.

Yunhai Cake, so sweet and fragrant!

Little Fatty, this is also a good thing to say!

He has heard his father praise Sui Sui for being chubby and soft, and calling him a super cute little fat baby!

So what my brother said is also a compliment!

Then, the little cub opened his little mouth, curved his eyebrows and stretched out his two lotus root-like arms towards his brother: "Yaaa!"

Brother, give me a hug.

Looking at the little fat boy who didn't understand the hidden meaning of his words at all, Jiang Mingyan felt helpless and relieved.

It was all because of his father's nonsense. He was actually affected by it and blurted out the words without paying attention.

He would never be jealous of Yunhai Cake.

The young boy thought with a serious face.

He picked up the chubby little cub who stretched out his paws for a hug, only to feel a weight in his arms.

But the soft ball was not obedient at all. He opened his little mouth and babbled, pointing at the gold and white bracelet on the table in front of the window. He leaned forward, looking eager to take a look at it.

Every bit of flesh on Jiang Suiyan's body was not in vain. He felt very solid and heavy when held in the arms.

Jiang Mingyan took the little guy's naughty body back into his arms, and then walked to the table by the window as he wished, but he was thinking in his heart.

It seems that he should increase the number of times he swings his sword every day, otherwise after a while, when Sui Sui gets a little older, he won't be able to hold this little fat cub.

The little fat boy didn't know that his brother decided to increase the amount of training in order to be able to hold him for a longer time. His eyes were now fixed on the gold and white bracelet on the table.

This bracelet looks exactly like the one that A Niang put on his hand.

They all have the same sweet aroma.

Then, the little fellow stretched out his dimpled little hand, picked up the bracelet, brought it to his mouth and took a bite.

"Wow wow..." The next moment, the little guy covered his mouth with his chubby paws and whimpered.

After a while, the little chubby boy in his arms got his baby teeth tickled. Jiang Mingyan felt both amused and distressed. He gently patted the little chubby boy's hand, which was still tightly holding the gold and white bracelet even after being tickled, as a warning: "Why do you put everything in your mouth?"

He took the gold and white bracelet from Xiaopang's hand and put it on his wrist. Then he pulled away Jiang Suiyan's hand that was covering his mouth and carefully observed the small baby teeth.

"It's okay." He breathed a sigh of relief. "If you keep biting anything, those little teeth of yours will be knocked out sooner or later."

Jiang Mingyan warned the little guy while carrying him back to the crib.

Seeing that his brother seemed to want to put him back on the crib, Jiang Suiyan no longer cared about the increasingly shallow pain in his mouth. He stared at Jiang Mingyan with his tearful round eyes, whimpering a few times and waving his little chubby paws, obviously not wanting his brother to put him down.

Jiang Mingyan was amused by the eager look of the little guy in his arms, but in a blink of an eye, he saw a hint of sparkle on the turquoise bracelet on the little guy's chubby little hand.

Suddenly, the smile in his eyes froze.

"Did Sui Sui bite the bracelet on her wrist before?" he asked in a deep voice.

The little fat boy tilted his head innocently.

"Did I hurt you before?" Jiang Mingyan ignored the little fat boy's pleas to stay, put him on the small bed, and gently poked his fair and tender little face.

He checked the chubby little hand and the green bracelet, and was relieved to make sure there was no damage and that Jiang Sui Yan had not swallowed anything.

"You bite everything!" Jiang Mingyan lectured in a deep voice: "The bracelet on your hand didn't hurt you before because it has recognized its owner and won't hurt you. Not only did you bite it secretly, but now you bite my bracelet? You should be hurt, otherwise you won't learn your lesson!"

"Woo, ah!" The little guy on the small bed opened his pair of bright round eyes and smiled at his brother as if to please him.

Jiang Mingyan's heart softened at his smile, so how could he continue to teach him a lesson? He could only pinch the little guy's soft face as if he was disappointed in him.

"Hehe..." The little guy didn't get angry even though his face was pinched. He smiled sweetly and called out incoherently.

Jiang Mingyan was stunned when he heard this.

Since the little guy was born, he has been accompanying and taking care of him day and night, so he naturally knows the little guy's speaking progress.

The little guy is very smart and can understand most of what they say, but his language system is not well developed yet. Apart from mumbling baby talk that only he can understand every day, he can only call "Aaa" for his father and mother.

To be honest, Jiang Mingyan felt quite disappointed when he heard the little guy call "Aa" for the first time. He thought this little rascal was really a bad boy. He took care of him and taught him to speak every day, but when the little guy opened his mouth, the first word he called was not brother.

Unexpectedly, the little guy gave him a surprise today.

Jiang Mingyan's sharp and handsome eyebrows softened, his phoenix eyes smiled, and he picked up the little guy again and shook him as if rewarding him: "Sui Sui is great, can you call me again?"

However, before Jiang Mingyan could hear his brother's cute little voice, a harsh and rough voice came from outside the yard.

"Hey, isn't this where our Jiang family genius lives? Why is it so small and shabby?"

As soon as the gruff voice fell, sounds of laughter began to echo it.

"Yeah, tsk tsk, it's so shabby, only he can live there."

"Hey, you don't understand this, right? This loser can only live here, because it's worthy of his status."

"Hahahaha...that's right."

"The Jiang family genius hasn't left this courtyard for over a year, right? Does he also feel ashamed of himself?"

Jiang Mingyan's eyes darkened slightly as he looked at the wall of the cottage which was painted with colorful spiritual plants.

The noise came from behind the wall.

That’s right, there is a path behind the wall of the house.

Ever since his spiritual roots were shattered, whenever his parents were not around, the Jiang family members who had been suppressed by him would circle back and forth there, loudly mocking him.

This remote corner of the Jiang Mansion is rarely bustling.

He thought coldly.

"Woo!" There was a slight movement in his arms, and then his head was hugged, and the soft little fat baby in his arms came up to him and kissed him. It was not enough to kiss his left cheek, and he kissed his right cheek and forehead.

The coldness that was about to spread in Jiang Mingyan's heart was dispelled by this series of kisses.

He reluctantly pulled his head out from under the fat boy's mouth and rubbed the fat boy's fluffy hair: "Okay, okay, I won't be angry about what they said."

He looked at the little fat boy who tilted his head and looked at him, as if observing whether he was fooling him, his eyes were soft.

I was indeed angry at first.

When he was one month old, it was detected that he had a single golden spiritual root and a body of a sword embryo. Therefore, even though he was born in a branch of the Jiang family, he was always superior to the young ladies and masters in everything.

He lived up to his innate talent. He entered Taoism at the age of three and reached the seventh level of Qi training at the age of ten.

A child of destiny, full of vigor and ambition.

Unfortunately, everything in this world is impermanent.

Shortly after his tenth birthday, he had just won first place in the Jiang Family Disciple Competition, but the next day he discovered that his spiritual roots were damaged and his path to the Tao was hopeless.

The once reliable elders now have ferocious faces, and the once friendly partners mock us wantonly.

His cultivation level kept falling. Even though he practiced hard day and night, more diligently than before, his spiritual roots were broken and his cultivation level could only be maintained at the third level of Qi training.

Moreover, if he slacked off even a little, the remaining cultivation would be lost and would plummet, turning him into a complete mortal.

He often sat quietly by the window and stared blankly, feeling that the future was bleak and gloomy.

But not long after, Suisui was born.

When A Niang was pregnant with Sui Sui, he was still the Jiang family's genius that everyone admired. Although he was very happy to have a blood-related brother/sister, being a Jiang family's genius was not easy.

He was busy improving his cultivation, busy practicing swordsmanship, busy strengthening his body...

He was surrounded by all kinds of people, and a little child still in his mother's belly could not get much of his attention.

Later, his spiritual roots were broken, the false prosperity faded away, and in the end, only his relatives stayed by his side.

Suisui was born a month early. Father was worried about Mother. When the midwife brought Suisui out, he couldn't help but rush into the house to see Mother.

He was the first one to hug Sui Sui.

He had heard someone mention that when babies are born, they are red, wrinkled and ugly.

But I don’t know if it’s because my mother is a cultivator, or because his family is blessed with good fortune, but the child he holds in his arms is so cute and adorable, and every move he makes is childish and innocent, which is really too cute.

Sui Sui sticks to him, and he also likes Sui Sui.

So he moved into the little house and took care of the little ball day and night.

Seeing that he no longer sat by the window, his father and mother were naturally happy and handed Suisui over to his care.

Before he knew it, more than a year had passed since his spiritual roots were shattered.

Although he still seldom stepped out of this small courtyard, with Sui Sui's company, those harsh ridicules and contemptuous looks were no longer important.

Because he still has Sui Sui.

In Sui Sui's eyes, he is his brother, his only one. This has nothing to do with his cultivation or his spiritual roots.

He is the older brother, that's all.

Moreover, after Sui Sui was born, seeing that his condition had improved, A Niang told him that she had a recipe for the Soul-Restoring Pill, which was said to be able to restore broken spiritual roots.

My parents didn't dare to tell him before, because this recipe was passed down from my mother's family, and they didn't know whether it was true or not. They were afraid of giving him hope, only to disappoint him and make him unable to get back on his feet.

Later, seeing that he was with Sui Sui and was gradually getting better, A'niang carefully revealed the news to him.

Thinking that he only needed four kinds of spiritual plants to prepare the ingredients for the Rejuvenating Pill, and thinking of the deep look his mother gave him before she left, Jiang Mingyan felt a little excited.

Has A Niang decided to take them away from the Jiang family?

Are the four of them going to look for their aunt, whom A Niang once mentioned with a tone of nostalgia and a hint of worry?

Regardless, it's excellent.

Thoughts drift and turn, but in reality it only takes a moment.

Jiang Mingyan looked at the little fat baby in his arms who was looking at him eagerly, smiled and leaned over to touch the soft little fat baby with his cheek.

The little fat boy didn't know what Jiang Mingyan was thinking just now, but when he saw that his brother was willing to get close to him, his round eyes sparkled and he smiled.

"Giggle! Giggle!" The baby's voice, which was not pronounced correctly, was so tender and soft that it made Jiang Mingyan smile even more: "How come our Sui Sui is so great?"

It is a little star given to me by God, hanging in the sky and held in my arms, bright, dazzling and warm.
