Chapter 97

Chapter 97

When Jiang Mingyan received the urgent message from Mingruo Daojun, Suisui was still sleeping soundly in the soft and warm quilt.

The young swordsman dispersed the golden words floating in the air and turned to look at the little one with a rosy face sleeping on the bed.

The little fellow with black hair and fair skin has bright cinnabar on his forehead, sparkling spiritual patterns, and his eyebrows and eyes are as clear and ethereal as ink. But with his thick black eyelashes hanging down obediently and his cute face with soft baby fat, the whole cub looks incredibly sweet, soft and well-behaved.

However, unlike his adorable and soft face, the little guy occupied the center of the bed in a domineering manner with his legs spread out, like a kitten with fluffed up fur trying to occupy more territory.

Jiang Mingyan raised the corners of his lips slightly, and his sharp and indifferent eyebrows softened a little.

He glanced at the sky outside the window and felt that it was almost time for the little guy to get up, so he reached out and rubbed Sui Sui's little head: "Sui Sui, get up."

The little fellow smacked his petal-like lips, grabbed the quilt and pulled it up, covering his head: "Ah~"

Jiang Mingyan laughed and poked the little guy's soft belly through the quilt: "Was Sui Sui tired yesterday?"

Suisui felt an itch on her belly, and rolled up under the quilt to avoid her brother's fingertips.

"No." The little guy said sullenly.

The young swordsman smiled and bent down to pull the baby out from under the quilt: "Then it's time for us to get up."

"Hmph." The little fellow, who was forced to lose his soft quilt, whined like a sulky kitten, and let his brother put clothes on him with his limp limbs.

As Jiang Mingyan dressed Sui Sui in the small green robe he had carefully selected, he explained slowly, "Mingruo Daojun just sent an urgent message, hoping that we can rush to Zhongzhou Cha Ting City immediately."

"Woo?" The little guy tilted his head in confusion: "Brother, what happened?"

"I don't know." Jiang Mingyan said frankly, "The urgent message sent by Mingruo Daojun just said that he hopes we can go there quickly."

"Master wouldn't use emergency messages so easily..." The little fellow thought of his master's unrestrained style and hesitated, but in the end, Sui Sui chose to trust his master: "Maybe it's a big deal. Brother, let's talk to Tang Jiu first, and then go to Zhongzhou, okay?"

"Of course." Jiang Mingyan tied the belt around the waist of the little robe, looked at the child in green clothes who was tender but full of vitality, and with satisfaction, he carried the child to the bed and motioned him to put on his shoes.

Sui Sui follows instructions and puts on shoes, washes, and sits at the table to eat, all in one go.

Jiang Mingyan also sat down on the chair opposite the little guy, picked up the chopsticks and ate a few bites with the little guy.

After eating and drinking, before Sui Sui could drag her brother to find Tang Jiu, Tang Jiu's message arrived in front of them.

Sui Sui looked curiously at the spiritual light floating in the air, and then looked at his brother urgently.

Jiang Mingyan looked at the excited cub helplessly, and shot out his spiritual power to open the message.

A flash of inspiration came, and Tang Jiu's voice jumped out: "Sui Sui, Jiang Mingyan, have you received the urgent message from Qing Miao Sect? My master just sent me an urgent message, asking me to rush to Zhongzhou Cha Ting City. From the old man's tone, I knew it was a big deal. If so, I think you should have been notified as well. I'm heading to the gate of Shanhe City now. You two still remember to cross the Dusk Mountains with me, right? I'll wait for you at the city gate."

After a long paragraph of words were spoken, the spiritual light floating in the air instantly went out.

Sui Sui's eyes widened, and the kitten's fur stood up. She angrily said in a baby voice, "Tang Jiu! Didn't he even think about what would happen if we were already gone?"

Jiang Mingyan gently stroked Sui Sui's newly tied, round bun-like hair and soothed her softly, "Sui Sui doesn't hold a grudge against Tang Jiu. Tang Jiu must have trusted Sui Sui and believed that we wouldn't leave Shanhe City without informing him. That's why he didn't ask where we were and just said he would meet us at the city gate."

Suisui's fur was smoothed by his brother's stroking. He puffed out his cheeks and hummed in response: "Okay, brother, let's go to the city gate now?"

"Okay." The brother said gently.

At the city gate, when Tang Jiu saw the young swordsman walking towards him holding a cute child, he raised his hand and waved it to indicate that he was there.

Sui Sui saw it, and he knew his brother must have seen it too.

The little guy thought about it, then reluctantly stretched out his little hand and waved it as a response.

"Our Sui Sui is so nice that he is willing to pay attention to me." The young man who was very self-aware said with emotion.

The little guy frowned when he heard Tang Jiu's strange tone, and buried his head in his brother's neck in disgust.

Tang Jiu couldn't help but smile.

"Alright." Jiang Mingyan patted Sui Sui's back soothingly and said calmly, "Let's go."

After leaving Shanhe City, Tang Jiu and Jiang Mingyan summoned their natal spiritual weapons at the same time, and two rays of spiritual light shot up into the sky.

"Master sent a spiritual weapon to Sui Sui and brother." The little fellow leaned over and looked at Tang Jiu: "This spiritual weapon can conceal our aura. As long as we avoid those powerful monsters, we can use the spiritual weapon to fly directly over the Dusk Mountains."

"What a coincidence." Tang Jiu raised his eyebrows. "Although I don't have a spiritual weapon, I do have a spell to hide and conceal myself. It was with it that I was able to safely cross the Dusk Mountains and return to Wuzhou."

"Then Suisui will use the spiritual weapon with her brother, and Tang Jiu will rely on himself~" The little guy smiled sweetly: "Tang Jiu, come on!"

Looking at the winding and undulating mountains ahead, Tang Jiu said helplessly, "Sui Sui is such a bad boy! I was planning to teach you this technique."

Jiang Mingyan frowned and looked at him.

Tang Jiu smiled nonchalantly, "Why are you looking at me? I got this spell in a secret place. It has nothing to do with Tianyu Sect, so I can do whatever I want with it."

"Alright." Seeing Jiang Mingyan about to say something, Tang Jiu said, "We're about to enter the Dusk Mountains. Why don't you take out your spiritual weapon?"

Jiang Mingyan looked at Tang Jiu quietly and hugged the soft little body in his arms.

The next moment, invisible waves spread out, enveloping the figures of Jiang Mingyan, Sui Sui and Tang Jiu.

"Hey, didn't you say you wouldn't take me with you?" Tang Jiu smiled.

"Hmph." The little guy controlling the spiritual weapon didn't want to pay attention to him.

Tang Jiu and Jiang Mingyan were cautious people to begin with, and with Sui Sui still nestled in Jiang Mingyan's arms, they were even more cautious. As a result, they flew out of the Dusk Mountains without any incident.

Coming out of the Dusk Mountains and heading northeast, they arrived at their destination, Chating City, nearly an hour later.
