Chapter 100
Liuyun Garden.
Yunxi was dragged to the main hall by two rough old women without a word. Before she could even stand up, she was kicked hard in the back of the knee.
Her knees slammed straight to the ground, her arms were being held up by two old women, she couldn't even brace herself to ease the pain, and could only endure the agony.
This was no small matter; it felt as if countless steel needles had pierced through the bones in her lower body at the same time. In the excruciating pain, all the color drained from her face, leaving only large beads of cold sweat.
Yun Wan looked down at her, enjoying her disheveled appearance, and after a while, she waved for the two old women to leave.
The shackles were removed, and Yunxi knelt on the ground.
Although the pain in my knee won't go away anytime soon, it does feel a bit better.
Yun Wan moved lightly to her side, and with a wave of her hand, Pearl placed the round stool behind her.
“Little sister,” Yun Wan slowly sat down, then slowly crossed her legs, and then used the tip of her shoe to hook Yun Xi’s chin, “Tell me, why are you so troublesome?”
Yun Wan's gaze fell on the tips of her shoes, her face beaming with the smile of a victor.
"...I don't understand what the young mistress means." Yunxi frowned, looking directly into Yunwan's eyes with a wronged expression.
She knew that this day would come sooner or later.
So she had already made all the necessary preparations.
Yun Wan gave a soft snort and kicked her right in the chest.
Yunxi was already weak at this moment, and this kick sent her flying backward.
“I’m asking you,” Yun Wan’s voice was low and her tone was icy, like a demon from hell, “did you really not tell the prince that you served him for me last night?”
Yun Wan stared intently at Yun Xi.
"No."
Meeting Yun Wan's gaze, Yun Xi felt no guilt whatsoever.
She really didn't...
Just say it directly.
Her composure made Yun Wan waver: "Really?"
Yunxi bit her lip, finally letting her tears flow freely from her eyes: "I really didn't! I know this matter is of great importance, so I dared not say a word. Please, Madam, understand!"
Yun Wan stared at her for a long time, but all Yun Wan saw on her face was grievance, nothing else.
Suddenly, Yun Wan laughed: "So it was all a misunderstanding."
"Look at you, how did you get yourself into this state? You were so careless," Yun Wan said. "Did that fall hurt?"
As Yun Wan spoke, she made a gesture to help her up.
However, before his hand could touch Yunxi, a series of footsteps approached.
Did she fall on her own?
As soon as she finished speaking, Madam Zheng entered with Zhou Mama and another unskilled old woman.
Zheng glanced at Yunxi, who was lying on the ground, her face pale and still covered in cold sweat. She closed her eyes, silently cursing herself for her misfortune. Then she looked at Yunwan and said in a rare cold tone, "Tell me, how did she fall and get herself into this state?"
Yun Wan's face was pale, and she couldn't say a word.
Madam Zheng walked straight to the head seat and sat down: "It's fine if we don't talk about this. Then tell me again what I came here to see you about before, and what I told you?"
As soon as those words were spoken, a sense of oppression spread throughout the hall.
Yun Wan gritted her teeth and knelt down with a thud.
She didn't have much interaction with Zheng, and that's why she was so impressed by what Zheng said.
The last time Madam Zheng came to her was because she heard that Yunxi was being deprived of food and water, and she came to warn her to be kind and compassionate.
