Chapter 203 Moonlight Boat (7)

Chapter 203 Moonlight Boat (7)

Mingyue turned around and looked at him in surprise. Seeing his serious expression, the anger she had been holding in was instantly released.

He told her to her face that she was his fiancée.

Her calves swung forward, the toe of her shoes touching the corner of his clothes. She moved back and looked at him.

The head under his palm left, and Ji Rangzhou stretched out his hand, looking at her with calm eyes: "Bracelet, do you like it?"

"I like it." Mingyue raised her hand towards him. On her fair wrist was one of the three bracelets he had given her. Her eyes met his deep ones. She paused, lowered her head and fiddled with the beads on the bracelet. "Everything Sister Yangqing picked is very beautiful."

His eyes were as calm as ever, but she seemed unable to look at him for too long. She couldn't tell whether she was panicking or having heart palpitations.

Ji Rangzhou's eyes flickered slightly as he looked at her black hair and put his hands behind his back, "Do you still hate me?"

Ming Yuelin raised his head and asked, "Have you been wondering if I still hate you?"

He lowered his eyes, looked silently into her bright eyes, and nodded.

Ming Yuelin moved forward a little, "Do you care whether I dislike you or not?"

He said nothing, acquiescing.

Ming Yuelin poked his arm and said, "Speak, Ji Gudong."

"Um."

Ming Yuelin raised the corner of his lips, but said, "It's still a bit annoying."

"Why?"

She raised her chin and snorted softly, "What do you mean by having some free time? Come find me when you're free. I won't come find you."

"Okay, I'll come find you later." Ji Rangzhou raised his hand, placed his fingers on the side of her head, and applied a little force to turn the person's wandering gaze towards him. "Look at me."

"Why do you call me Ji Gudong?"

Mingyue couldn't help but trembled, "Years ago, there was an old master in our house. He was very serious and old-fashioned. You are more like him in character. Also, when you don't speak, you are very cold and frightening."

But she didn't dare look at him not because she was afraid of him.

"Why, I can't call you that? Then I'll still call you Brother Ji?"

Ji Rangzhou pondered for a moment, then his expression relaxed. "Whatever you want to call me."

Seeing his expression change, Ming Yuelin hooked her finger on his sleeve and asked softly, "What do you mean by saying I'm your fiancée?"

Seeing the expectation and temptation in her eyes, Ji Rangzhou's eyes darkened slightly: "I no longer regard you as my sister. Even if you don't want to continue this engagement now, I will not cancel it."

Hearing the hidden meaning, she pressed the issue further, "Why don't you cancel the engagement? Didn't you say you would respect my wishes?"

Ji Rangzhou took a step forward and leaned closer to her, "Xiao Lin."

Mingyuelin supported himself on the couch and used his wrists to move backwards.

Ji Rangzhou held her wrist and stared into her eyes: "What do you want to hear?"

The oppressive feeling he brought was so strong that she forgot to move and sat there stiffly. She turned her head to look at her wrist that he was holding and tried to pull it away with a little force. "Why are you so close?"

Ji Rangzhou tightened his grip, and when she looked back at him, he said, "From now on, you are my only fiancée, and I won't allow you to break off the engagement."

Ming Yuelin felt a sudden numbness in her chest, and stared at him in a daze for a long while: "Okay, if you don't want to retreat, then don't retreat."

Although there is no mention of joy or liking, there is no other meaning besides this.

After a pause, she added: "I don't hate you."

Ji Rangzhou raised the corner of his lips slightly, released her wrist, and stroked the top of her head, "Don't leave me."

"oh."

He stood up and stepped back. A breeze blew in from the window, dispersing the indescribable atmosphere, and ripples on the lake spread outward in circles.

Mingyuelin exhaled quietly and felt a little hot.

Seeing that he was still looking at her, Ming Yuelin patted the seat next to her and asked, "Do you want to sit down?"

Ji Rangzhou lifted his skirt and sat beside her.

She took the jade fan beside her, poked the back of his hand with the fan head, and ordered him: "I'm hot, fan me."

He glanced at the fan, reached out and grasped the handle, and the edge of his palm touched her index finger.

Mingyuelin retracted her hand and looked at him.

Ji Rangzhou just paused, his expression remained unchanged, and fanned her with a fan.

The wind brought a cool breeze, and Mingyuelin was satisfied. He shouted to Qiyan, who was sitting in the corner with his back to them, "Qiyan, I want to eat Sushan."

Qi Yu nudged Qi Yan with his elbow and said, "The girl is calling you."

Qi Yan bowed in the direction of Ming Yuelin, brought the Su Shan over, and quickly came back, pretending to look at the scenery with Qi Yu.

Ming Yuelin picked up the spoon and scooped a spoonful of the crispy mountain. She turned her head to meet his silent gaze and extended her wrist forward. "Do you want to eat it?"

Realizing what he had done, Mingyuelin silently retracted his hand.

Well, I'm used to feeding Sister Pear.

Ji Rangzhou shook his head. If you looked closely, you could see a barely perceptible smile in his eyes.

After he responded, Mingyuelin ignored him and ate the Sushan while enjoying his fanning.

Ji Rangzhou poured himself a cup of tea with one hand and sipped it slowly.

Su Xingyu, who was taken away not far away on the pretext of "your mother is looking for you", realized that he had been deceived and complained to Ji Yangqing angrily.

Ji Yang glanced at his younger brother who had finally come to his senses, and with a smile, he led his son downstairs. "Then let's ignore our uncle and go downstairs to play."

The rest of the people also went down one after another. Except for a few maids waiting in the corner, only Mingyuelin and Ji Rangzhou were left.

After eating the Sushan, Mingyuelin felt less hot and asked Ji Rangzhou, "Are you hot?"

“It’s not hot.”

"Well, it's just right that I don't have to tire myself out fanning you." Ming Yuelin moved closer to him, looked at his profile, and called out, "Ji Gudong."

Ji Rangzhou glanced sideways.

"Nothing." She giggled and said with a turn of her eyes, "I'm going to Chaozhou in a few days."

"I know." Looking at her cheek right in front of him, Ji Rangzhou moved the fingers of his hand that was not holding the fan, then pressed it down.

"Then what?"

"Wait until you come back."

Mingyuelin's cheeks puffed up and she glanced at him in dissatisfaction.

Ji Rangzhou raised the corner of his lips slightly and gently pressed her cheek with his fan, "It will be as you wish."

Ming Yuelin pushed away the fan, no longer unhappy, and muttered, "Don't poke me."

"Yeah." Ji Rangzhou continued to fan her.

She looked at him, then turned her head away and leaned over the window to look at the scenery outside.

Feeling his gaze on her, Ming Yuelin suddenly felt that even if he didn't speak, he didn't seem as dull as she had thought before.

Ji Rangzhou raised his hand and touched her head.

She looked back at him, took the plate of lychees on the table beside the couch, peeled one, and took two more and stuffed them into his hands.

"I heard from Sister Li that the flesh of lychees freshly picked in Lingnan is crystal clear." Duzhou is in Lingnan. Sister Li came here over mountains and across rivers.

"Um."

Ming Yuelin ate the fruit pulp and said, "You only know how to do that."

But the voice didn't sound unhappy.
