Chapter 217: Evening Breeze (7)

Chapter 217: Evening Breeze (7)

"Go ask Miss Lin Er when she will be back. I'll go see her off later." Ming Zhouhe went into the house to change clothes and left a message.

"Yes." Xuanyun responded and went out.

All the brothers and sisters in the mansion have already painted, and Mingyuelin is itching to try her own skills, so she starts to set her sights on other people. Today, Lin Tingwan has served as a reference for her for half the afternoon.

Xuanyun did not enter the garden, but only asked the maid guarding the small door to go in and ask.

The maid came to the girls and bowed to them first, then asked Lin Tingwan, "Second Miss Lin, our Third Young Master asked when you would return home and said he was here to see you off."

Mingyuelin put down his pen, wiped his hands with a handkerchief, took a red date and threw it into his mouth, chewing it while holding his face and looking at her.

Shi Jianli, who was leaning on the soft chair reading a book, and Yu Yiluo, who was eating and drinking beside them, raised their heads.

Lin Tingwan coughed lightly and said, "I'll be back in half an hour."

Ming Yuelin spat out the date pit and asked, "Is my third brother waiting outside?"

"I haven't seen the Third Young Master. Xuanyun, who is beside the Third Young Master, is asking."

"Oh, so, since Third Brother is not in a hurry, Sister Lin, you can sit for a while. It's almost time."

Lin Tingwan nodded and continued to be her quiet beauty.

Mingyue waved to the maid at the court, signaling her to deliver the message.

Yu Yiluo held her chin up and sighed, blinking her big, watery eyes and saying pitifully, "We clearly came here together, but I'm going back alone. Did you forget about me, your sister, because you have a fiancé?"

Ming Yuelin chuckled, his hands still drawing as he jokingly said, "That's indeed a bit pitiful. Sister Lin, will you choose my third brother or our sister Yiluo?"

Lin Tingwan knew they were teasing her on purpose, so she calmly replied, "I came here to accompany Yiluo, so I'll let my fiancé send me off when I go back. It's fair enough, no one will be left out today."

Shi Jianli said, "Prince Yu will be here today, so Sister Yu probably won't go back alone."

"Huh? I didn't even know my eldest brother would come over. How did you know, Sister Shi?"

"Your elder brother Ming told me yesterday that he would have a hand-to-hand conversation with Prince Yu today." So he didn't look for her after finishing his shift today, and let her play with Mingyuelin and the others.

After a few jokes, Mingyuelin and Yu Yiluo stopped teasing Lin Tingwan and started talking about other things instead.

Half an hour later, the maid who had brought the news came back and said that Ming Zhouhe was waiting outside the garden.

Lin Tingwan got up, straightened her clothes, and went out to look for Ming Zhouhe.

When they met, Lin Tingwan called him "Ming San Gongzi."

"Is the title I got in exchange for the Lantern Festival gift only valid for one night?" Ming Zhouhe raised his eyebrows.

She said shyly: "Zhouhe."

"Well, let's go." Ming Zhouhe was finally satisfied. "I heard that you came with Sister Yu Wu. Did you come separately or in the same carriage?"

"I came here after my sister Yu's family's carriage came to pick me up." Lin Tingwan followed beside him, glancing at him from time to time. She didn't hide when he noticed her, but looked at him openly, seeming to be in a good mood.

He was still using the hairband she gave him that night.

Ming Zhouhe glanced at the two maids following behind her and said, "I will take you to your house and then return."

Yuzhi and Yuling tactfully slowed down their pace and followed Xuanyun closely behind the two.

"Thanks."

"I don't like it."

Lin Tingwan paused, his brows relaxed, and he changed his tone: "Okay."

"When did you come today?"

"She came early in the morning and has been playing till now. The portrait that Second Sister Ming drew for me is very beautiful. She is very lively and a bit gossipy. She kept asking about Ali and Prince Ming." But she stopped at the point so as not to offend anyone.

Lin Tingwan had a smile on her lips. She felt less restrained when she was with him. When she smiled, her eyebrows and eyes were lively and sparkling. "When I first met her, I thought Ah Li was the kind of person with a cold and aloof temperament. In fact, she can be a bit naughty and lively sometimes."

"Second sister Ming actually told me a lot about you." As she said this, she looked at him.

"What's my business?"

"It's basically about how you and Second Young Master Ming were often naughty and mischievous when you were little, getting into trouble and getting beaten up. You're very different from the way I remember you."

Ming Zhouhe had no baggage in front of his fiancée. All Ming Yuelin could tell was about when he and Ming Zhouqing were children and had a sudden inspiration to grind ink with Ming Weishen's treasured wine, or when they were so bored that they climbed up a tree to rob a bird's nest but got their collar caught on a branch and couldn't get down. These were the kind of embarrassing things that they wouldn't do when they grew up.

"So what do you think I look like?"

"Very..." Lin Tingwan thought for a moment and then changed his words, "A very talkative young man."

In fact, it is very touching.

Even standing there she was graceful and unparalleled, but as she approached, every movement seemed to test her self-control.

His eyes wandered around her eyebrows, and he dragged out a somewhat lazy tone, intentionally or unintentionally pointing out the key point of her words: "What do you mean by being able to speak?"

Lin Tingwan didn't answer immediately. Instead, she lowered her eyes slightly. When she raised them, she met his gaze, which she had never concealed. Her joy was revealed in her eyes. "Every word you say to me makes me happy."

I savor every separation and then look forward to seeing him again.

Ming Zhou raised the corner of his lips and casually said, "I forgot to ask back. When my mother came to propose marriage, was it you who accepted the marriage, or was it your mother who accepted the marriage on your behalf? Because of your parents' orders and the matchmaker's words, you had to get along with me?"

Lin Tingwan clenched his fingers and clenched his fist. "I agreed to this, not because I had to. I'm really happy to be with you."

She then took a deep breath and counted them one by one: "The first day of the autumn hunt, October 22nd last year, December 27th last year, January 11th this year, the Lantern Festival this year, and today. You have seen me six times in total, right?"

Listening to her words that were as detailed as the back of his hand, Ming Zhouhe stopped and looked at her intently, "Hmm."

The three people following behind were a little puzzled as to why the two masters stopped, but they did not dare to go up and disturb them rashly.

She was a little nervous, trying to keep her breathing from trembling, and smiled, "But today is the seventh time I've seen you."

After getting the answer, Ming Zhou and Xin suddenly felt heavy-hearted. They looked into her eyes quietly, waiting for her to continue.

Lin Tingwan didn't say anything more, but asked in return: "Do you want to know when I first met you?"

"Um."

She put her hands behind her back, feeling his gaze on her, and walked forward, suppressing a smile: "I'll tell you later."

Ming Zhou followed her and walked with her to the carriage waiting in front of the mansion gate. He helped her get on and then followed her up. He bent down and approached her, but did not sit down. He looked her straight in the eye and asked, "When will it be in the future?"

The spacious carriage seemed to become cramped in an instant. Lin Tingwan leaned back, his eyelashes trembling.

Outside, Yuzhi and Yuling were approaching and preparing to come up.
