Chapter 107: Ride a Horse and Trampled Them to Death
The black horse under the pear seat was the one chosen by Ming Zhao. It was faster than the other horses, but after being spurred on, it was still slower than the irrational white horse.
Shi Jianli drew his bow, aimed at the horse's hind legs, and shot an arrow.
The white horse felt pain and slowed down due to the injury to its hind legs, and its head shook.
Princess Corning's half body was thrown out, but her wrist was entangled by the reins and was pulled back by inertia. Her legs began to slide and her hands also broke free from the reins.
The black horse, chasing at full speed, was able to get close to the white horse. Shi Jianli dropped his bow, tightened the reins, leaned to the right, and used all his strength to grab Princess Kangning's waist, lifting her off the white horse's back, and his body also leaned down.
All the weight was on Shi Jianli's right hand and right half of her body. Her left hand was pulling the reins, which were holding the black horse's nose. The black horse felt pain, raised its front hooves, and neighed miserably.
The legs that were clamped on the horse's belly slipped down, and Shi Jianli, who was holding Princess Kangning, fell down.
She quickly loosened the reins and protected Princess Corning's head.
With a "bang", they fell to the ground and rolled several times.
"Hmm..." Shi Jianli groaned as she felt pain in her back, her vision still a little blurry.
The silver iron horseshoe swayed in front of his eyes, and two horses neighed in his ears. Just as the horseshoe was about to step on his face, Shi Jianli endured the pain and rolled around holding Princess Kangning.
The horseshoe landed right where her face had been.
Not far away, a tragic horse neighing was heard. The white horse hit the mountain wall, its head bent, and it fell to the ground powerlessly. Blood splattered on the stone wall, and it was dying.
The black horse snorted again and neighed as it circled Shi Jianli and Princess Kangning.
A smell of blood came, and Shi Jianli was in so much pain that she couldn't speak. She loosened her hands that were protecting Princess Kangning, and placed her trembling fingers under Princess Kangning's nose.
Shi Jianli breathed a sigh of relief.
Still alive.
There was a blood-red mist under her body. Shi Jianli took a breath and looked up to meet the eyes of the fifth princess on the hill.
Shi Jianli's eyes were cold.
Princess Kangning is not dead, so the fifth princess is dead.
The Fifth Princess shuddered and ordered the person beside her, "You! Ride over and trample them to death! That way there will be no evidence!"
"This...Princess..." Gong Pingting shuddered, "I dare not..."
The Fifth Princess scolded her, "Ming Yuelin has been lured away, what are you afraid of? Go quickly! Otherwise, we will be the ones to die! You pulled the arrow, do you think you can escape?"
The only way they can survive is to trample them to death and make it look like an accident caused by a mad horse. Without evidence, they can just make up whatever they want.
"Yes!" Gong Pingting gritted her teeth, tightened the reins, and rode her horse towards Shi Jianli and Princess Kangning.
When Shi Jianli saw Gong Pingting driving the horse over, her eyes fixed on her and she struggled to get up.
What a vicious heart!
Mingzhao, who arrived at the scene, was still furious. He drew his arrow, put it on the bow, and shot it into the neck of the horse under Gong Pingting.
Yu Heming shouted anxiously: "Princess!"
The horse knelt on its front hooves and swung its hind body up. Gong Pingting was thrown forward and fell to the ground with a "bang", accompanied by a "crack" sound of broken bones.
"ah!!!"
After a scream, Gong Pingting was speechless. A large pool of blood spread out under her body, her eyes were dazed, and her mouth opened and closed weakly.
Shi Jianli breathed a sigh of relief.
Yu Heming rode his horse in front of them, jumped off the horse, and saw the two people covered in blood. He didn't know how to start.
Shi Jianli half-opened his eyes, his face pale, and spoke in a weak voice: "Don't worry, Prince Yu, it's all my blood."
Mingzhao also jumped off his horse and squatted in front of her. He touched her cheek with trembling fingers, his voice trembling, "Yaoyao, where does it hurt?"
"The back." Shi Jianli frowned and groaned.
Glancing at the sharp blood-stained stone not far away, Mingzhao carefully lifted her up by the shoulders, holding her tightly with one hand, "I'll take you back to see the imperial physician."
"Yeah." Shi Jianli put her arms around his neck, resting her head on his chest, and said, "The princess seems to be asleep."
Yu Heming checked Princess Kangning and saw that she had no obvious wounds and her breathing was steady. He breathed a sigh of relief, picked her up with one hand, and climbed onto the horse.
He glanced at the Fifth Princess coldly, then rode away on horseback, holding Princess Kangning in his arms.
At this time, the Fifth Princess was held against the neck by Ji Rangzhou with an arrow. She shuddered when she was looked at by Yu Heming. The arrow pierced her neck and a little blood oozed out of her neck.
"How dare you! How dare you hurt this princess!" She shouted angrily at Ji Rangzhou.
Ji Rangzhou exerted a little force on his hands, and his voice was as cold as usual: "Don't move, arrows don't have eyes."
The fifth princess felt a sharper stinging sensation on her neck. She met another cold gaze and fell silent.
The looks in these three men's eyes were more terrifying than the other, and each of them looked like they wanted to kill her. They had no respect or fear for her as a princess at all.
Mingzhao carefully carried Shi Jianli onto the horse's back, found the bleeding spot on her back, and tore open the hem of her clothes to hold it down.
He looked at Ji Rangzhou and said, "You Qian, I leave this to you."
Ji Rangzhou nodded: "Don't worry."
When Mingyuelin returned to look for Shijianli, he saw Mingzhao's back as he rode away. Then he looked at the ground and saw Gong Pingting, whose body was twisted into a strange shape and whose life or death was unknown, and the horse that had been shot.
Further away, there was another pool of blood and a white horse that had tragically died after hitting the wall.
Her eyes widened in anger and fear as she questioned the Fifth Princess: "What did you do?"
"How outrageous..." Before she could finish the rest of the word, she felt a stinging sensation on her neck again, and the Fifth Princess shut her mouth in disappointment.
"Go find the commander of the Jinwu Guard and the commander of the Yulin Guard." Ji Rangzhou looked at Mingyuelin.
"Is Sister Li okay?"
"I don't know. Your eldest brother took her back to see the imperial physician."
Mingyuelin glanced at him, turned his horse around quickly, and ran towards the exit of the forest.
On the way out of the forest, Mingzhao lowered his head and asked the person in his arms: "The horse's back was a bit bumpy. Did it hurt your wound?"
Shi Jianli's fingers clenched the hem of his clothes, sweat breaking out on her forehead. "I can bear it."
If she doesn't hurry, she might bleed to death.
Seeing her frail appearance, Mingzhao's eyes were filled with heartache. "Just bear with it a little longer, we'll be out of the forest soon."
After the horses had ridden out of the woods, Mingzhao could still see the wind and rain outside and shouted, "Call the doctor!"
Upon hearing this, Tianfeng ran over, picked up a doctor and ran away, while Tianyu picked up the medicine box.
Mingzhao carefully carried the man off the horse and into the tent.
"Li'er!" Qiao Ruoying, who was a little curious about the chaos in the royal family, saw the sky blue dress in Mingzhao's arms, exclaimed and ran over.
Yuan Yuhe was also startled and followed Qiao Ruoying.
The imperial physician carried by Tianfeng was stuffed into a medicine box after landing and was pushed into the tent by Tianyu.
Mingzhao also pulled the quilt on the bed, and gently let Shi Jianli lie on the quilt. He pulled the doctor to the bedside and said, "The wound is on the back. It was pierced by a sharp stone. There is a lot of bleeding. Stop the bleeding for her!"
The imperial physician was still catching his breath when he saw Mingzhao's expressionless face. His heart was pounding. He opened the medicine box out of habit and said, "I have to get some water to clean the wound first."
