Chapter 1 Xu Di

Xu Di looked at the sky, which had turned overcast again, and said, "Let's hurry up and leave. I see the sky is getting overcast again, and it might rain soon. Let's cross the mountain and see if there's any place to take shelter from the rain over there."

Xu Rao helped Chen Zhaoci up, and Chen Zhaoci said, "Actually, we've also benefited. We've become so much younger for no reason, maybe more than ten years younger. Most people don't have such a good luck."

Chen Zhaoci was a cheerful person. He said while walking and panting, "Let me tell you, many of the nurses in our hospital read novels about time travel and rebirth. It's a pity that none of them have the kind of adventure we have. I just don't know if we can go back. I just came down from my high-ranking position. It would be such a pity if we couldn't go back. I've worked so hard for this for so long."

Xu Di said, "Oh my god, who doesn't want to go back? But look, we don't even know how we got here, let alone how we'll get back. You know, it's such a waste that you have such a high-level degree. I just got my doctorate, and I put in so much effort for it. My advisor has already talked to his senior abroad, and he wants me to study abroad for two years before coming back. And here I am, don't you think I'm losing out?"

Xu Rao said, "Alright, alright, we've all lost out, but since we're already here, shouldn't we try to make things better? Besides, have you noticed that our three names are the same as other people's? Maybe that's why we were brought here. Since we're here, let's live our lives well. No matter where we are, we should live our lives well."

Xu Di nodded and said, "The thing I can't let go of most in this body is my younger sister. I must take good care of her when we get there."

The three of them walked and talked until mid-afternoon before they finally crossed the mountain. A light rain began to fall again; the early summer rain pattered down on them, and with a gust of wind, they felt their hair stand on end.

Standing on the mountain, Xu Di saw a cluster of houses not far below and said, "There are people living there. Let's go and ask for lodging."

Chen Zhaoci said, "Yes, getting caught in the rain like this could easily lead to a cold. At this time of year, there's a shortage of medical care and medicine, and a cold can really be fatal."
