Chapter 50: I don't understand why Song Zhixu is unhappy...

The three-story luxury cruise ship slowly sailed out of the dock, with a platinum sphere two meters in diameter suspended in the center of the main deck.

The surface of the sphere features a cartoon image of a baby, inside which are ribbons symbolizing the baby's gender.

The party was very big, and Tang Ran knew some of the people who came, but not others.

Stepping onto the deck, Tang Ran immediately felt two uncomfortable gazes.

Following my instincts, I looked over and, unsurprisingly, saw Sun Xiao and Sun Jiaojiao beside her.

Oh.

The two perverted sisters both showed up today.

Seeing her looking over, Sun Xiao narrowed his eyes and smiled maliciously.

Sun Jiaojiao was much better at hiding her true feelings than Sun Xiao, and she wore a kind fake smile on her face.

Tang Ran looked away.

He deliberately took half a step closer to Song Wuqi and spoke to her in a seemingly intimate manner.

Tang Ran's original intention was to incite hatred against Song Wuqi, but she unexpectedly gained something from it.

As she turned her head away, Sun Jiaojiao turned back to talk to Sun Xiao.

Out of the corner of her eye, Tang Ran saw that after hearing Sun Jiaojiao's words, Sun Xiao's lips curled into a wicked smile, and his gaze toward her became even more lewd.

A chill ran down her spine, and Tang Ran became alert.

Sun Jiaojiao's favorite methods are those that can't be brought to the table.

Her mind raced, and Tang Ran took out her phone and called Xia Xin'er.

Knowing that she had also come to the party made me feel a little relieved.

As night fell, the party on the yacht reached its climax.

The golden sphere was opened, and pink petals scattered on the deck.

As the cruise ship's horn sounded, rows of fireworks quietly bloomed on the shore, the brilliant flames converging in the sky to form images of babies with pigtails.

The happy young couple invited everyone to raise a glass in celebration.

Seeing Tang Ran drink the wine in her glass, Sun Jiaojiao's face flashed a mischievous smile as she walked towards her with her glass in hand.

As she walked to the poolside, a passing waiter accidentally brushed against her arm.

Sun Jiaojiao spilled the wine from her glass, which landed right on her skirt.

"Don't you have eyes when you walk?" Sun Jiaojiao rolled her eyes in disgust.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

The waiter apologized repeatedly and took a towel from the tray to wipe her down.

Don't touch me with your filthy hands!

Sun Jiaojiao slapped her away, irritably placed the cup in her hand on the tray in the waiter's hand, and took another towel to wipe it herself.

The amount of spilled alcohol was small, and the dress was made of a non-absorbent fabric, so it was easily wiped away and no longer noticeable.

Sun Jiaojiao glared fiercely at the waiter, who lowered his head in alarm.

Picking up her wine glass again, Sun Jiaojiao memorized her appearance, thinking she would find someone to deal with her later.

Sun Jiaojiao walked over to Tang Ran and Song Wuqi, and gave Song Wuqi a shy smile, "Senior Sister Song."

Song Wuqi nodded without saying anything. She and Sun Jiaojiao were classmates in the same high school, so she could only be considered a senior.

Song's Supermarket has a partnership with Sheng Tang. The person in charge of the negotiations is Sun Jiaojiao, who is of average appearance and average ability to handle affairs.

The last time she argued with Ye Xiaoyu, Ye Xiaoyu told her that she hadn't just asked Sun Jiaojiao about Ning Hao's matter; all the subsequent information was found out and told to her by Sun Jiaojiao.

Ye Xiaoyu also told her that she suspected Sun Jiaojiao might have deliberately taken her anger out on Song Wuqi because of Tang Ran, and had given her the wrong information.

Song Wuqi's feelings towards Sun Jiaojiao worsened.

Sensing her coldness, Sun Jiaojiao felt very sad.

She knew that Song Wuqi's acquisition talks had failed because the information she had found was incorrect.

But she really did her best to investigate. She originally wanted to use this incident to gain favor with Song Wuqi, but little did she know that someone had hidden the video and hadn't released it.

In order to find information for Song Wuqi, she spent tens of thousands of yuan to buy Ning Qi a bag, which finally led her to find out about her cousin.

The result was that her efforts were thankless and only made Song Wuqi resent her.

She wanted to explain to Song Wuqi, but Song Wuqi wouldn't even answer her calls.

Song Wuqi was transferred to a real estate company, and she couldn't find a chance to see him.

"I'm going to find Shu Yang over there," Song Wuqi told Tang Ran, and then left.

Sun Jiaojiao felt resentful, but dared not show it.

She looked at Tang Ran, raising her wine glass, "Tang Ran, we had some misunderstandings before, how about we put them aside now?"

"Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding?" Tang Ran looked at her with a half-smile. "Misunderstanding that you like Song Wuqi?"

Sun Jiaojiao choked on her words, and she didn't bother to talk to Tang Ran anymore. "Since you don't accept it, then forget it. Pretend I didn't say anything."

Tang Ran clicked her tongue in disgust and deliberately raised her voice.

"You'd rather not make any money yourself than steal other people's clients. That's pretty unethical of you, Sheng Tang. Now that you know you were wrong, come and apologize to me. I accept it."

People around Tang Ran looked in her direction when they heard what she said.

Seeing her blatantly lying, Sun Jiaojiao's eyes bulged out of their sockets.

It's no secret that Sheng Tang won the bid at cost price; some people think it's normal, while others find it distasteful.

But Sun Jiaojiao's initiative to apologize was somewhat unexpected.

Some even speculated that Sheng Tang couldn't sustain the price war and wanted to seek peace.

"I hope your prosperous Tang Dynasty can truly remember this and stop doing such disgusting and self-defeating things, which will only narrow your path!"

After Tang Ran finished speaking, she raised her wine glass and turned to leave.

Sun Jiaojiao's face turned bright red. Seeing that she was about to leave, she realized that she had not yet achieved her purpose in coming here.

"Tang Ran".

She quickly reached out to pull Tang Ran away, and the wine in her hand 'accidentally' spilled onto Tang Ran.

Tang Ran looked at her speechlessly, "Sun Jiaojiao, you did this on purpose, didn't you!"

Sun Jiaojiao's heart skipped a beat, but she feigned an apology, "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to. I'll go with you to the restroom to wipe it off!"

"I'll go by myself."

Tang Ran waved her hand away and asked a waiter for directions to the restroom.

There were people in the washroom on the east side of the first floor, so Tang Ran went up to the second floor via the nearby stairs.

The front half of the second floor is a restaurant and bar, with a few guest rooms scattered around the back. The washroom is right next to the guest rooms.

There are hardly any people here.

Tang Ran got tipsy from drinking; her face turned red after just one glass of champagne.

She fanned herself with her hand as she walked.

Just as I reached the door of the restroom, my arm was suddenly grabbed.

Tang Ran was startled.

She turned around, but before she could even see the face of the person behind her, she was pulled into the guest room next door.

A strong, nauseating amount of cologne hit Tang Ran, who couldn't help but vomit, spitting the glass of champagne she had just drunk directly onto the shoes of the person opposite her.

"Tang Ran!"

Sun Xiao roared and forcefully threw her onto the bed, then pulled out a sofa cushion to wipe his shoes.

Tang Ran lay on the bed, trying to sit up, but she couldn't muster the strength and slumped back down.

"You." She stared at Sun Xiao with wide eyes, terrified.

"hey-hey."

Sun Xiao tossed aside the sofa cushion in his hand, a smirk playing on his lips as he walked toward the bed.

"I tried to reason with you nicely, but you wouldn't listen."

Sun Xiao didn't get into bed immediately. She stood by the bed, looking down at Tang Ran.

His gaze traveled slowly up her legs, paused at the hem of her skirt, then continued upwards to her chest, before finally settling on Tang Ran's face.

Seeing the fear in Tang Ran's eyes, Sun Xiao raised one corner of his mouth and grinned wickedly.

"Sun Xiao, you're a perverted freak!"

Tang Ran gritted her teeth and cursed her, but the words that came out were soft and light, without any force at all.

"Go ahead and curse, curse all you want, but you won't be able to curse anymore in a bit, you'll just be whining."

Tang Ran rolled her eyes, but it looked like she was flirting.

Sun Xiao grinned mischievously and lowered his head, slowly approaching Tang Ran's face.

Tang Ran's eyes suddenly lit up. Looking behind her, she weakly called out, "Life imprisonment."

Sun Xiao suddenly turned around, only to find her head completely covered by the sofa cushion she had just used to wipe it.

She panicked for a moment and reached out to pull at the sofa cushions haphazardly, when suddenly she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck.

"ah!"

Sun Xiao immediately knelt down on the ground.

She frantically tried to pry open the sofa cushions, but couldn't manage it.

Immediately afterwards, her hand was grabbed from behind.

With a crack, his right hand went numb.

Tang Ran got out of bed and kicked Zhang Bai.

Zhang Bai raised his leg and kicked out quickly, striking Sun Xiao's thigh.

Sun Xiao cried out in pain, and was then kicked twice more.

Then, it felt like fists were coming from all directions and hitting her, making her head spin.

Zhang Bai had received professional training and knew how to hit someone in a way that would hurt them without causing serious injury.

Tang Ran gave a thumbs up, then lowered her voice, "Life imprisonment, life imprisonment, stop hitting him! If you keep hitting him, someone will die!"

Sun Xiao slowly realized that it was 'Song Wuqi' who was hitting her.

She gritted her teeth and threatened, "Song Wuqi, if you dare to touch me, my aunt will not let you get away with it!"

She had barely finished speaking when she was struck hard on the back of the neck again and lost consciousness.

Tang Ran asked Zhang Bai to leave first, and then left herself after a while, thoughtfully hanging up a "Do Not Disturb" sign.

The yacht party docks every hour. Those who want to go home can disembark, while those who don't can stay on the boat overnight.

Sun Xiao should be able to sleep until tomorrow.

When Tang Ran arrived at the restaurant on the second floor, Xia Xin'er had already listened with great interest to Zhang Bai recount the whole story of how Sun Xiao was beaten.

"That was so satisfying! Sun Xiao, that kind of freak, deserved to be taught a lesson!"

Xia Xin'er clenched her fists, wishing she could go up and throw a couple of punches herself.

Sun Xiao has an aunt who is the deputy director of the Public Security Bureau. Calling the police won't work against her; the best way is to call back directly.

"The surveillance footage has been deleted, right?" Tang Ran asked, remembering the question.

"It's been deleted. I told my sister, and she's already had someone delete it."

Xia Xin'er nodded, then whispered gloatingly in her ear, "Sun Jiaojiao drugged the wine, but she drank it herself."

It's satisfying to let those who do evil reap what they sow.

Tang Ran gave a thumbs up, "Thank Sister Xia for me. I'll treat you to a meal later."

When she realized that Sun Jiaojiao was up to no good, her first thought was to retaliate, but she needed someone's help.

The friend who hosted the yacht party was related to the Xia family, so her first thought was to contact Xia Xin'er.

"OK."

Xia Xin'er happily agreed, planning to find an excuse not to go and let Ranran and her sister have a meal alone.

The two sat for a while before Xia Xin'er was called away by her family.

Tang Ran didn't want to go down to find Song Wuqi anymore, so she went to the third floor after leaving the restaurant.

The third floor is mainly rooms, with only a small terrace at the front.

There was no activity or anyone on the small terrace, and Tang Ran just wanted to go up there to find some peace and quiet.

Not long after they came up, they heard footsteps behind them.

The footsteps grew closer, and Tang Ran turned around, thinking that it was someone she knew, so she greeted them.

"Why are you here too?"

Upon seeing the person behind her, Tang Ran's eyes widened in surprise.

Song Zhixu had sent her her flight information, so Tang Ran knew she was arriving in Jiangcheng this afternoon, but she didn't expect her to attend this party.

"Don't you want me to come?" Song Zhixu glanced at the first deck and said in a low voice.

From their angle, they can see a panoramic view of the first deck, and similarly, they can see their position by looking up from the first deck deck.

Song Wuqi was chatting with someone on the first floor at that moment.

Tang Ran was startled and quickly pulled Song Zhixu a couple of steps inside.

After taking a couple of steps, Tang Ran still felt it wasn't safe enough, so she pulled her into the empty room at the back.

The rooms on the third floor have balconies that face directly over the water, so there's no fear of being seen by anyone.

The breeze blowing across the water carried a hint of coolness, dissipating some of the heat from Tang Ran's intoxication on her face.

Tang Ran released Song Zhixu's hand and observed her expression. She sensed that Song Zhixu seemed a little unhappy.

Are you in a bad mood?

This was the first time Tang Ran had ever seen her unhappy in all the time they had known each other.

Song Zhixu took her hand. The light on the balcony wasn't very bright, but you could see a red mark around her wrist.

She frowned, her tone becoming more serious, "Injured?"

Tang Ran was surprised, thinking that Song Zhixu had such good eyesight.

She began to explain, "I ran into a little trouble just now, but it's been resolved..."

As she spoke, Tang Ran's gaze fell on Song Zhixu's expressionless face, and a thought suddenly occurred to her, "You know everything?"

"Hmm," Song Zhixu responded indifferently.

When Xia Xin'er went to find Xia Mo, Song Zhixu was by her side.

She followed Xia Mo to the monitoring room, her eyes never leaving the screen for a second.

She watched Tang Ran and Song Wuqi talking and laughing on the deck.

Tang Ran turned the tables on Sun Jiaojiao.

He even watched as Tang Ran was dragged into the room by Sun Xiao.

Even if she knew that Xia Xin'er's bodyguards were prepared and that Tang Ran didn't actually have Chinese medicine.

Song Zhixu couldn't help but leave the monitoring room and go to the second floor.

She stood on the stairs and watched Tang Ran leave the room before she could truly relax.

Tang Ran sighed helplessly, wondering why she always ran into Song Zhixu at times like these.

Song Zhixu led her into the house, sat her on the sofa, and then took her hand to examine it carefully.

There was a heavy red mark around her snow-white wrist, and the intersections between them had even turned faintly blue.

Song Zhixu frowned, and Tang Ran subconsciously explained, "Oh, it just looks serious, but it's actually not that bad."

Her skin is quite sensitive; it turns red even with the slightest touch.

Song Zhixu didn't say anything, but took out a bottle of medicinal wine from her handbag.

She had the waiter find it before she went upstairs.

Sun Xiao used a lot of force when she pulled Tang Ran inside, and she guessed that Tang Ran must be injured.

Upon seeing the medicinal wine, Tang Ran felt a ripple of emotion.

Song Zhixu unscrewed the bottle cap, poured the medicinal wine into his palm, rubbed it slowly, and then placed it on Tang Ran's wrist.

If Tang Ran wanted to beat up Sun Xiao, she didn't need to pretend to fall into the trap. She could have simply had Zhang Bai go into the room and beat Sun Xiao up.

Song Zhixu didn't know why Tang Ran did this, nor did she ask.

She knew Tang Ran had a secret.

Tang Ran must have her own reasons for doing this.

Song Zhixu felt that it was good enough that Tang Ran was willing to accept her suggestion and give it a try.

She wasn't greedy; Tang Ran immediately opened her heart to her and shared everything with her.

Watching Song Zhixu carefully massage her wrist, Tang Ran sorted out her guesses.

Since Song Zhixu even brought the medicinal wine, he probably knows everything except what happened in the room.

But for a moment I couldn't figure out why Song Zhixu was unhappy.

Does he feel that he didn't tell her immediately when something happened?

The idea was immediately rejected by Tang Ran.

She didn't know Song Zhixu was on the ship, and Song Zhixu wasn't the kind of brainless domineering CEO from Mary Sue novels, so he certainly wouldn't be unhappy for such a nonsensical reason.

The slight warmth on my wrist is the effect of the medicinal wine.

"Don't do such dangerous things again."

Song Zhixu's tone was very light, without any accusation; it sounded more like helplessness.

Tang Ran was suddenly enlightened.

She curled her fingers and hooked them around Song Zhixu's finger, tilting her head to look at Song Zhixu's face, her voice soft, "Do you think I'm taking too much of a risk?"

Song Zhixu raised her eyebrows to look at her, but didn't speak, only making a nasal sound, "Mmm."

He continued to rub the bruises on her wrist with the pad of his thumb.

"Don't worry, I've planned everything in advance. Even without Zhang Bai, I can handle Sun Xiao."

Tang Ran pulled a small bottle of pepper spray from her shorts pocket and showed it to Song Zhixu like a treasure.

She bought this after the polo match. The friend who hosted the party had some connections with the Sun family, and Tang Ran had anticipated that she might run into Sun Xiao today, so she brought it with her in advance.

Of course, what happened next was beyond Tang Ran's expectations. She only roughly guessed that the Sun sisters would set a trap for her and then played along.

"Um."

It was just a nasal sound, and then the gentle movements in his hands stopped.

Song Zhixu raised his hand and placed the medicated wine in her palm, gently instructing, "Apply it again before going to bed tonight. The bruises will probably take a few days to disappear."

Looking at the spray and medicinal wine placed side by side in her hand, Tang Ran felt inexplicably guilty.

Her plan succeeded, but the injury was also a fact.

Let's look at Song Zhixu's reaction.

Although he wasn't angry, he clearly wasn't in a good mood.

Tang Ran stuffed the medicated wine and spray back into her handbag. "My pockets are too small. You can put them in for me first, and give them to me when we get home."

Watching her movements, Song Zhixu suddenly asked, "Will Wuqi take you back later?"

Tang Ran stopped moving, as if she suddenly realized something.
