Chapter 6 Isn't Tang Ran quite interesting...?
Two minutes ago.
Seeing Song Wuqi enter the guest room, Ye Xiaoyu slipped in as well, taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention.
What brings you here?
The waiter accidentally spilled water on Song Wuqi's skirt, and she was using a hairdryer to dry it.
Ye Xiaoyu tugged at her skirt, lowered her head, and said aggrievedly, "I feel like Miss Tang doesn't want to see me."
These words sound like a complaint, but there's actually a hint of accusation in them.
"That's just her temper. Just stay away from her, and she won't cause you any trouble."
Song Wuqi frowned.
Tang Ran has a bit of a spoiled princess temperament.
"But...but I'm a little scared." Ye Xiaoyu's eyes reddened, and she was on the verge of tears. "Manager Song, I...I..."
Her appearance immediately reminded Song Wuqi of the night before his business trip.
Song Wuqi couldn't control himself and kissed her, but it was Ye Xiaoyu who ended up crying and apologizing to her.
Ye Xiaoyu's personality is too docile, the complete opposite of Tang Ran. Song Wuqi prefers someone as obedient as Ye Xiaoyu.
Thinking this, Song Wuqi's gaze softened considerably.
Ye Xiaoyu took a deep breath, her face full of reluctance, and choked out, "Manager Song, perhaps I should resign?"
Her voice grew softer and softer as she spoke, her eyes filled with longing as she looked at Song Wuqi.
If Tang Ran is the bright sunshine, then Ye Xiaoyu is the night lamp by the bedside at night.
Soft and ambiguous.
"Don't talk nonsense, you haven't done anything wrong."
Song Wuqi really liked how Ye Xiaoyu relied on her for everything and let her make all the decisions.
"You're an employee of the Song family, and no one but me can decide whether you stay or leave. Don't worry," Song Wuqi comforted her, patting her shoulder.
"Hmm." Ye Xiaoyu's eyes lit up with surprise, but then a hint of worry quickly followed. "But... but I still..."
She didn't say what came next, but her fear was obvious enough.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of everything." Ye Xiaoyu's dependence gave Song Wuqi a great sense of self-satisfaction.
Knock knock knock.
"Life imprisonment?"
Tang Ran only knocked on the door and did not push it open to go in.
The two people inside the house changed their expressions instantly upon hearing the noise.
"Manager Song, what... what should we do?"
Ye Xiaoyu nervously tugged at Song Wuqi's sleeve, looking utterly helpless.
Song Wuqi quickly calmed down, glanced around the room, and pointed to the wardrobe next to him, "You hide in there first."
She had just appeased Tang Ran, but if Tang Ran were to see them together, they would probably start arguing again.
"Me." Ye Xiaoyu bit her lip, looking aggrieved.
Song Wuqi's subconscious reaction made her feel truly humiliated.
Compared to Tang Ran, she was someone who couldn't be seen in the light.
"Listen to me." Song Wuqi patted her shoulder, his tone soft but his attitude firm.
"We won't stay long; I'll take her away in a bit."
"Life imprisonment? Are you inside?"
Tang Ran's voice rang out from outside the door once again.
Ye Xiaoyu bit her lip and went into the wardrobe.
After confirming that she was hidden, Song Wuqi opened the door with a calm expression.
"What are you doing? Why did it take you so long to open the door?" Tang Ran said, glancing inside deliberately.
Song Wuqi's eyes flickered, and she stepped aside to let her look at her, her tone deliberately casual, "I was using the hairdryer, so I didn't hear you knocking."
"They said you got your dress wet, do you need any help?" Tang Ran asked, heading inside.
"No need." Song Wuqi stopped her, then stepped out of the guest room. "I've already dried myself, let's go out."
Tang Ran nodded, didn't go any further inside, and turned around to look at the waiter.
Ye Xiaoyu likes to hide, so she should hide well and make sure she doesn't come out and get discovered.
The waiter reacted quickly and took over the door just as Song Wuqi was about to close it.
Her movements were natural, and Song Wuqi didn't notice anything amiss, nor did he specifically look back.
The waiter only pretended to close the door briefly before opening it again.
The villa's guest rooms were connected to the entertainment room. Tang Ran took a few steps and called out to Song Wuqi.
"I'm a bit bored, want to play a game of pool?"
Song Wuqi hesitated for a moment, but seeing that Tang Ran had already walked to the pool table, he could only follow.
Tang Ran handed her the golf club, and Song Wuqi took the club and walked to the other side, her eyes casually glancing at the guest room.
Looking at the wide-open door, Song Wuqi's eyelids twitched twice.
In such a short time, Ye Xiaoyu must not have had time to come out.
"What are you looking at?" Tang Ran nudged her with his golf club, asking knowingly.
"No." Song Wuqi turned his head.
It would be too deliberate for her to go over and close the door again; she could only hope that Ye Xiaoyu wouldn't be foolish enough to run out.
From their vantage point, they could see most of the closet in the guest room.
In fact, not only could she see it, but Ye Xiaoyu inside the cabinet could also see the pool table through the gap in the cabinet door.
She clung tightly to the hem of her skirt, so tightly that she didn't even notice the silk dress was twisted.
Tang Ran served a ball, smiled, and said, "Your turn."
Song Wuqi stopped thinking about Ye Xiaoyu in the closet, focused on his game, and finished it in just over ten minutes.
"No! How did I lose so much? Let's play another round."
Tang Ran threw down the club and went to retrieve the ball, her face full of resentment.
Song Wuqi lifted a stone only to drop it on his own foot.
He wanted to end the game quickly, but Tang Ran pulled him into another game.
In this game, she deliberately let Tang Ran win, and Tang Ran also took it very seriously, constantly circling the table to find the right angle. The game dragged on for almost forty minutes.
Tang Ran played the final black eight, and Sun Xiao clapped and walked over.
She deliberately ignored Song Wuqi and raised an eyebrow at Tang Ran, "Miss Tang, how about a game?"
"You think we can just start a game like this?" Tang Ran's tone was particularly aggressive.
Sun Xiao placed the wine glass on the table.
"Let's play a game with a wager. If I win, you have to play with me all day tomorrow."
Sun Xiao paused deliberately, gave Song Wuqi a meaningful look, and then emphasized, "It's just for fun. You decide the location—shopping, skiing, horseback riding, musicals, anything is fine. If you win, you can name your terms. I'll do anything you want."
"Who cares what you're doing!"
Tang Ran rolled her eyes at her, "You know I play badly, yet you still come to bet with me. Sun Xiao, just admit you want to take advantage of me on purpose. Why bother with such a trivial matter and act like a big shot!"
Speechless after being rebuked by Tang Ran, Sun Xiao touched his nose and turned his attention to Song Wuqi.
Staring at her, he provocatively said, "Song Wuqi, do you dare to play a game? If you lose, Tang Ran will have to spend a day with me."
Before Song Wuqi could speak, Tang Ran slammed her cue stick down. "Sun Xiao, are you out of your mind?! Why are you using me as a wager in your bet?!"
Song Wuqi followed her words and coldly replied, "I won't use Ranran as a bet."
"Fine, if you won't use her as a wager, then I'll bet a million." Sun Xiao curled one corner of his mouth, looking at her contemptuously. "Song Wuqi, do you dare?"
Their argument attracted a lot of onlookers.
"What are you betting a million on? Sun Xiao, you don't need to break the law just to get a medal for your aunt, do you?" Lu Shuyang walked over with a smile to smooth things over.
Sun Xiao's second aunt is the deputy director of the city police department, and also the person Sun Xiao fears the most.
Sure enough, when Lu Shuyang mentioned her, Sun Xiao's arrogance deflated by half, but he didn't leave, still showing some reluctance to give up.
Lu Shuyang handed her the cue stick, saying, "If you want to play pool, I'll play with you."
Sun Xiao's second aunt is the deputy director, and Lu Shuyang's mother is the secretary of the Provincial Political and Legal Affairs Commission. The person Sun Xiao absolutely cannot offend in this house is Lu Shuyang.
"But it's no fun without a prize; whoever loses drinks."
Sun Xiao took the cue stick and mouthed something to Song Wuqi.
'Coward'
“Sure,” Lu Shuyang readily agreed.
The two played back and forth for several rounds.
Lu Shuyang, who was practically the host, was playing billiards, and quite a few people gathered around to watch. After they finished, others took over the game.
By the time the pool game ended, the party was almost over.
Ye Xiaoyu didn't know how long she had been hiding in the closet. By the time Song Wuqi came to find her, everyone had already left.
As for Tang Ran, she had already returned to Shengming Mansion.
She was wearing a face mask and examining a black pearl tassel earring studded with tiny diamonds.
She didn't know whose earring it was, but it had been caught on the hem of her skirt. She only noticed it when she got home and took off her skirt.
bite.
My phone received a new message.
Tang Ran placed the earrings on the bedside table and opened the newly received video recording.
On the roadside, Song Wuqi helped Ye Xiaoyu, who was limping, into the car.
Xia Mo's villa rooftop terrace.
Murong Yi leaned against the railing, watching the taillights of the car disappear around the street corner, and clicked her tongue twice.
"Old Song, it's a shame you didn't send your little niece to the national gymnastics team."
That split was pretty smooth.
Song Zhixu's gaze was fixed on the tablet in her hand, as if she hadn't heard what she said.
"Has she offended you recently?" Murong Yi walked to the table and sat down.
The waiters at the party were all transferred from the bar. After Tang Ran transferred the money to her, she sent a message to the boss, Chen Heming, who then transferred it to Murong Yi.
Even though Song Zhixu knew that the matter was directed at Song Wuqi, he did not stop her.
Murong Yi guessed that Song Wuqi must have done something recently to displease Song Zhixu.
Song Zhixu looks gentle, but he's actually quite cunning and wicked.
"I thought she was going to catch them cheating, but it turns out she deliberately blocked them inside. She blocked them for four hours, haha, that assistant's legs must have been worn out from standing."
Since Song Zhixu didn't respond, Murong Yi said to Xia Mo, "Old Xia, don't you think Tang Ran is quite interesting?"
"It is quite interesting," Xia Mo said with a smile.
It's much more interesting to make someone suffer in silence and not be able to complain than to arrest them directly.
"Tang Ran is a good-looking girl, and she's quite interesting too. If she weren't a bit too young, she and you would be a good match."
Murong Yi just said it casually, mainly because she felt that Tang Ran's personality was somewhat similar to Xia Mo's ex-girlfriend.
Xia Mo smiled but didn't say anything.
Song Zhixu looked up from the tablet and glanced at Murong Yi indifferently, "If you're so free, why don't you look at the financial statements?"
"No, no, no." Murong Yi leaned back, propping herself up with her hands, as if she had seen something dirty. "I get a headache just looking at those numbers. You're a bar owner too, you can just look at them."
“There’s nothing wrong with the accounts.” Song Zhixu put down the tablet.
Murong Yi loosened her grip, and the chair straightened up. She then leaned closer, looking on with a gossipy expression.
"Your little niece is about to get engaged, why aren't you finding someone?"
They're both surnamed Song, so why is there such a big difference?
Song Wuqi wasn't satisfied with having a girlfriend, but Song Zhixu was like an immortal who had drunk elixir, completely devoid of love and affection.
On second thought, it's normal that the two are so different, after all, Song Wuqi's father and Song Zhixu are not from the same mother.
Song Zhixu picked up his teacup, took a sip, and asked with a slight smile, "Would you like me to open a matchmaking agency for you?"
"Pfft." Murong Yi choked on her water.
Song Zhixu and Xia Mo both stepped back.
