Chapter 15!
While talking to Miao Tiantian, Song Wuqi made a phone call.
The phone lit up briefly and then automatically hung up.
After comforting Miao Tiantian, Tang Ran hung up the phone.
The phone automatically switched from the call page to the home page, and a green bubble indicated that there was a new unread message.
It was a voice message sent by Song Wuqi.
[Ranran, I just called you, but your phone was busy. Who were you talking to? Was it Miao Tiantian? I'm going to Guangzhou on a business trip tomorrow. I just wanted to let you know. I've been so busy these past few days and haven't had a chance to spend time with you.]
The speaker went on and on about how important the Guangzhou project was, but Tang Ran didn't listen.
What she was more concerned about was that Song Wuqi was going to Guangzhou again tomorrow, which meant he must have already confirmed Ning Hao's news.
Things turned out exactly as Tang Ran had guessed.
Last week, Ye Xiaoyu told Sun Jiaojiao that the Song family wanted to acquire Daning and asked if she knew anything about Ning Hao.
Sun Jiaojiao has always had a crush on Song Wuqi.
She secretly wrote love letters when she was in school, and after starting work, she took advantage of the cooperation between Sheng Tang and Song's Supermarket to get close to Song Wuqi.
Unfortunately, Song Wuqi wasn't interested in her. Knowing that Ye Xiaoyu had become Song Wuqi's assistant, she approached Ye Xiaoyu to try and find out about Song Wuqi.
When Ye Xiaoyu first entered university, she was bullied by Sun Jiaojiao for a while because she was pretty and good at studying. Later, because she was good at studying and could complete all of Sun Jiaojiao's homework, she became one of Sun Jiaojiao's sycophantic sisters.
Of course, Sun Jiaojiao had no idea that the two sycophantic sisters who claimed to be her spies had gotten together with Song Wuqi, whom she had always longed for but could never have.
Ye Xiaoyu told her that Song Wuqi valued this project highly, and that if Sun Jiaojiao could find out about it, Song Wuqi would be very grateful to her.
With such a great opportunity to shine, Sun Jiaojiao went all out. Not only did she gather information, but she also spent 100,000 yuan to buy photos of case files related to Ning Hao's case.
After Ning Hao inhaled leaf grass in the United States, he lost his mind and accidentally killed his companion.
In an effort to reduce his sentence, the Ning family spent a fortune seeking mediation and promised to pay a huge sum in compensation before reaching a settlement with the victim's family.
The Ning family deliberately concealed this matter, and not many people knew about it.
The Ning family wanted to use the initial acquisition funds provided by the Song family to cover Ning Hao's financial losses. The reason why the Song family's first round of offers failed to reach an agreement was because the amount of money was simply insufficient.
Upon receiving this news, Song Wuqi was overjoyed and revised the second round of negotiation plan with Da Ning overnight.
A faint light appeared on the horizon, and the golden skyline delicately outlined the city's silhouette.
Tang Ran pressed the alarm clock to get up, yawned and walked out. As she passed the living room, she heard a barely audible pushing and pulling sound.
She stopped, turned around, tiptoed, and walked quietly towards her balcony.
He stopped abruptly just before reaching the door.
She stepped back, fiddled with her hair a couple of times in front of the glass cabinet next to her, and then carefully peeked out through the sliding door.
In front of the brightly colored flower stand, Song Zhixu is watering the flowers.
Her long hair was elegantly styled in an updo, and she wore a pair of glass-type jade cabochons on her porcelain-white earlobes, which, combined with her fitted light blue dress, made her look refined and beautiful.
As the morning sun pierced through the thin clouds, it poured down, and water droplets, adorned with tiny golden light, gently sprinkled among the flowers.
The beautiful scene is like a gentle morning breeze, bringing unparalleled warmth and comfort.
Before she knew it, Tang Ran relaxed completely.
While she was still in a daze, Song Zhixu seemed to sense something and suddenly looked behind her.
Realizing that her act of peeping was inappropriate, Tang Ran quickly pulled her head back and took a few steps back.
But his actions couldn't keep up with his thoughts. He was flustered and tripped over his own legs, lost his balance, and fell backward onto the ground.
"Awoo!"
The moment her buttocks made intimate contact with the floor, Tang Ran couldn't help but let out a heart-wrenching howl.
The figure flashed by too fast for Song Zhixu to make out before she heard a painful cry of someone stepping into thin air.
Looking thoughtfully at the balcony next door, Song Zhixu's beautiful eyebrows relaxed slightly, and a gentle smile appeared on her face.
After changing her clothes and stepping over the threshold, Tang Ran aggravated her sore buttocks from the morning's injury. She instinctively rubbed them as she walked out.
When I got to the elevator, I ran into Song Zhixu, who was also leaving for work.
Tang Ran immediately withdrew her hand from her bottom, flashed a bright smile, and greeted her generously, "Good morning, Sister Song!"
The first step in winning over Song Zhixu as an ally is to establish a good relationship with him.
Song Zhixu walked over gracefully and replied with a light smile, "Good morning!"
When she walked to Tang Ran's side, the elevator had reached the nineteenth floor.
Tang Ran stepped aside to let her go first, then took small steps into the elevator.
Her gait was generally normal, but upon closer observation, one could detect a slight inconsistency.
In the morning, Song Zhixu only heard Tang Ran's voice and did not know what had happened, whether she had bumped or fallen.
The weather was already getting hot in June. Tang Ran wore a light green short-sleeved shirt and a white long skirt. Her exposed arms and ankles showed no signs of redness or swelling.
Noticing her scrutiny, Tang Ran's ears burned slightly, but she pretended to be nonchalant and said, "I slipped this morning and fell."
There are no external injuries on the exposed areas. The patient can bend and take small steps, but it affects walking.
Song Zhixu wisely refrained from asking further questions.
Because of yesterday's failed bid, the atmosphere in Tang's marketing department was very low all day.
At noon, Tang Ran had Xinghelou deliver two lunches to President Yu's office.
Upon seeing her arrive, Mr. Yu's gloomy face, which had been clouded all morning, immediately brightened.
Xinghelou only offers dine-in service, and Tang Ran is the only owner in the entire Jiangcheng who can arrange delivery for Xinghelou.
Tang Ran opened the bag, took out a meal, handed it to her, and raised an eyebrow, asking, "Any results?"
Within Tang's company, only the marketing department's team responsible for bidding on the convention center project had access to the tender documents.
In the morning, Mr. Yu spoke with each of these people individually.
"Hmm, I can probably guess who it is."
When Mr. Yu took the lunchbox and opened it, he immediately realized how wise it was that he hadn't gone to the cafeteria because he was "angry".
"What are you planning to do?" Tang Ran asked, unpacking the tableware.
"Keep it for now." Mr. Yu smiled slightly.
She had no evidence and wasn't planning to directly identify the person.
Although unwilling, the possibility of finding evidence of bribery between Sheng Tang and Director Yu is too small.
Having suffered such a great loss, she had to find a way to repay Sheng Tang.
Mr. Yu's idea coincided with Tang Ran's; she thought the same way.
When the Tang family ran into trouble in the previous life, the first to kick them while they were down was the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
Besides Song Wuqi, the second thing Tang Ran wanted to kill was Sheng Tang, but Tang's own crisis was not yet resolved, so she didn't have the extra energy to deal with it.
Thinking of the Tang family's crisis, Tang Ran's heart sank.
The main reason for Tang's bankruptcy was that the bank loan was not approved on time, which led to a break in the capital chain.
She needs to understand the company's financial situation as soon as possible and think of ways to deal with the funding gap caused by the failure to disburse the last batch of loans next year on time.
