As Shen Lin got out of the car, he naturally took her hand. Ye Xinning wanted to shake him off in disgust, but the next second she heard him say that.
“If this gets to my dad, you should know it’s not a wise choice.”
Ye Xinning looked away irritably, letting Shen Lin do as he pleased.
Just as Shen Lin said, she didn't want to cause trouble with the Shen family.

The two went inside. Shen's father, Shen Yu, was sitting on the sofa reading a newspaper. When he saw them return, he looked up slightly and said, "You're back."

The "Aunt Xi" that Shen Yu mentioned, Xi Yuan, is in her thirties. She is Shen Yu's wife and Shen Lin's stepmother.
As they were talking, Xi Yuan came out of the kitchen. Seeing them return, Xi Yuan smiled and came to her side.
“Xinning, you’re back! Perfect timing. This is your favorite mango flavor, try it.” Xi Yuan said, handing the pastry in her hand to Ye Xinning.
Shen Yu called Shen Lin upstairs, probably because she had something to say.
Xi Yuan glanced upstairs and asked her, "So? Is there really a woman at the riverside villa?"
Ye Xinning lowered her eyes and smiled faintly, "Mm."
"Are you really pregnant?"
"Um."
Xi Yuan's expression became somewhat complicated. "What is Shen Lin's attitude?"
"No explanation, no argument."
Where is that woman?
Ye Xinning shook her head, a hint of helplessness in her smile. "For me, it was revenge; for that woman, it was love."

Ye Xinning glared at him.
The man held her head down, and the next second, a punishing kiss landed on her.
Ye Xinning's pupils dilated, and after a second of hesitation, she swung her fist at him. But how could she possibly be a match for Shen Lin? In no time, she was completely immobilized.
